Na, I think the title made you focus so much more on it and you think you could see a difference, but it's exactly as "nervous" as the SVR on. I guess we never really focus solely on the speed to notice. If I would decrease the font size and put it next to SVR, no way you could tell the difference :D
@@iDaxen I think it must’ve been placebo then. It was an insanely good render on the map itself, so I just looked at the display, and compared to the font I used on my renders I just thought it was different. So in short I spotted a different font nothing else xd
The closest you can get to computing the correct speed is by calculating an integral. Though, from my experience, ChatGPT very often spews incorrect code, so I wouldn't trust the correctness too much.
This is cool ^^ A demo file contains the view origin and the current tick per democmd entry so this data can also be extracted directly from the demo itself
Of course. I mean, SVR and sourcemod are able to display the speed, sourcemod even in real-time. But since I wasn't able to extract these stats from the game, I had to go this complicated way. Somebody with coding-knowledge probably could get the speed directly from the game.
@@iDaxen I think you’re onto it with this blender speedometer idea, I’ll have a look at what you’ve done and see if I can expand on it a bit later, have you got a github link I can fork? This sort of production seems much more promising
you could make the line graphic from other videos have some amazing particle effects based on speed, im imagining something between the trails left by tron bikes and a burning comet!
this is the archive for KSF demos. If you want a specific map that hasn't a demo yet, you will need VIP (or to ask somebody with VIP) to upload it. surftimer.com/demos/demos/
Working on it. Still very new to the whole coding scene. Also, need to check if the add-on runs in the newer versions of Blender, as I only wrote and used it in 3.6 LTS.
This is amazing, youre truly pioneering something great for surf videos, good shit man
I really appreciate the efforts you put into these projects!
Also I immediately spotted the unit display acting different on not so zen

@@jejxkxk I finally have. github.com/iDaxen/Blender-Speed-Extractor
SCIENCE my dude, freaking lets goooo
banger after banger thank you daxen
Love this vid man lets get some more:) found the topic super interesting
Didn't know there is a way export demos to blender. I kinda want to relight some maps and render them out in cycless.
Yea, that's how it started out for me as well. But then rendering became too expensive and I switched to this type of videos.
i got the same urge now
very interesting stuff, impressive (and a bit spooky) how most of the code is GPT written
although im a silly blender user not some fancy programmer, so i may ask this "GPT" dude for help on my projects
@@spherefriendyellow8872 my thoughts exactly :D

absolutely love your videos, Great stuff!
I had an idea of rendering surf entirely in Blender with raytracing, but i can't find any .dem files of surf WRs. Where do you get the .dem files?

@@iDaxen Wow, thanks! BTW, every time i try posting a link to a website in a comment it gets autodeleted. idk how you managed to do that
very nicely done mate.
Fantastic project!
Fantastic job!
Nice one, keep the good work :)
why didnt you use drivers???????????
interesting stuff!
WoW, I dont know that blender can make this xD
very good
awesome. is there github repo to see code?

👍
mf used chat gpt to make the entire thing 💀💀💀
ngl that was me trying to make a minecraft java mod for a while
:o
@oui
chatGPT wrote the whole thing... disliked lol
chatGPT wrote this comment
I get your point but still atleast he admitted
It looks harder to get chatGPT to make this than it is to make it yourself lol
