these breakdowns are still unfuckingreal, this was the most powerful lineup they ever had and that album was the best piece of emotive mosh metalcore ever produced other than maybe the stuff from skycamefalling or pre tear from the red poison the well. shit is hype as fuck.
This was taken in 2001, those 14 year old girls and 15 year old 80 pound boys with bandanas over their faces didn't start going to hardcore shows until 2005.
Yes, very much so. Two/three years ago hardcore was a genre that was very non-mainstream, with a small but dedicated fanbase. You certainly never saw hardcore bands on MTV or heard them on the radio. Now it's a completely different story. Hardcore is everywhere, and seems to be the new trendy genre for the mainstream, particularly teens, to cling to.
Jared is recording bands now, he just did my band Decedent. He's a fuckin good drummer and an amazing Engineer, you can hear the ruffs on our myspace and they aren't even mixed or mastered and it sounds awsome.
It's kind of unfortunate that it's becoming more of a fashion fad than an actual type of music, but hopefully sooner or later the trend will die out and hardcore will go back to what it used to be about.
Ahaha, I never noticed that drum stick thing until just now...but looking at it, he does in fact throw a drum stick at the crowd at 00:24. And I'm fairly positive it's Matt Mixon in this video. And sorry, I don't have the rest; the video ends after Silent Deaths.
thats not even the orginals vox for ppl who dont know. he didnt write any of the lyrics really.. temo rios did.. hes a good pal of mine. he turned from the ways now. hes a minister at new beginings christain fellowship.. hes married now and has a kid
Underoath, Atreyu, Norma Jean, As I Lay Dying etc. etc...they're not "hardcore," but that's what everyone labels them as, since they don't know any better.
Setlist:
00:00 - 1. Dandelion
04:14 - 2. Someday
08:41 - 3. Silent Deaths, Crowded Lives
Wow only 2 days before the world changed

I'm pretty sure welcomecomatose was joking.
I think a few of the members might be, but I don't think they were a Christian band overall.
What's a proper pit a bunch of old sweaty dudes pushing etherother? 7a7p is one of the best bands that did the type of music they did...
