Yeah same I thought maybe I had just gotten old and needed to visit the eye doctor. Instead I'm a different kind of old, the kind that says "back in my day filmers tried to keep the camera steady!" But yeah I'm bailing ninety seconds in, this is actually kind of painful for my eyes.
I really like this one👍🏼 I don’t know if it’s because I had a couple of beers but it made me feel that old school vibe and still with plenty of wow’s! These kids make it look easy, and make me wish I was that age again, skating and enjoying life with no worries.
@@chrismorgenstern commercial can also give you a great feeling. That's the entire point at the end off the day so you can connect positive feelings with that brand and then when you are deciding what to buy you buy that perticular brand
@@armin38822 OK and now? I never owned a single piece of Vans clothing and I will not change that. Not my brand. I'm just here for the skateboarding clips. But thanks for enlightening me anyways.
@@armin38822 bruh I'm from Syd and these boys work hard and having a platform like thrasher to have their video shared is the epitome of what the lads can do. Zoom in on the face, quickly zoom out, miss part of the trick, lose the context of the trick (can’t tell the size of the gap), for example. Zoom in once the trick is landed. Induce nausea. Hate this style of filming.
This is purely about appreciating skating: I highly recommend if you r going to film a trick really zoomed in. At least get a 2nd angle that shows & encapsulates the entire trick because it can really take away from what is being done by the skater sometimes. ~im sorry, I'm not trying to be snarky or anything. It's just really appreciated when people can fully take in what is being done & with the previous era or up close fisheye filming for everything, it really has shown us that certain things look so much better from a different vantage point perspective. I mean no disrespect. Other people might have totally different opinions than me. That's fine. Either way, keep on shredding.
Yeah there was some shit here that was painful to watch. Visual whiplash. Not sure why the William Strobeck trend is still going, literally nobody has asked for it.. Although I must say the fisheye in this video was ON. FUCKING. POINT. I was never able to film fisheye that well.
@@EthanUslabar filming is so fun. I really REALLY wish I never ruptured my ACL because I really miss skating, having fun filming, just Dorking around. It's always fun to mess around with different perspectives. Either find ways to film riding along & following, or finding interesting viewpoints. It's just so fun to mess around with it all.
Skating has gone through generation-defining changes over the years, all documented through various cameras, lenses, direction style and aesthetics, all soundtracked to all sorts of music or not at all. Stacy filmed on roller blades back in the day on big camcorders. Now everyones got a smartphone and an HVX, obviously those mediums have affected the style of current filming. I'm 26, been exposed to skating since 03 and I just love how every era has its own approach and style to filming. Strobeck zoom has come, it will stay and eventually leave. I've come to accepted it and seeing Pablo skate awaaay in Candyland with that zoom brought a tear to my eye. I personally believe its sick when used in Hijinx shots and brings the old vx upto no good vibes.
Can I please be the new filmer? This is horrendous. Shoe shot in every clip up down zoom in out is really old I’d like to just see the skater and the trick thanks

this will look great in ur local vans outlet store next to the newest spongebob collab

I lost count of how many videos I wasn't able to finish because of that. Add this one to that list
I'm going to sleep try tomorrow the zoom 😮 my eyes
