    Dr. Karen, a trichologist here on YT debunked the myth that grease os impenetrable. According to her, greases free of parabens and such have a nom-comedegenic rating of Zero (who knew). Sometimes i hop in the shower or under the faucet to water rinse some of the grease away or i will reactivate the grease already present in my hair. I've seen no adverse affects and have been employing this method since last year. I keep my haorstyles simple like you Barbara. I will either do chunky braids (roots) and twist the rest of the way (cocoon my ends) or i will habe four braids (one in eachbquqdrant). I am gonna keep wigging it til i get to year four (March 2024). I remove my wigs daily (absolutely).

    • @BarbaraBirungiSunflower

      @@BarbaraBirungiSunflower yes! I will! I hate when my hair is dry as well. I live in a cold climate (Toronto) so it’s usually dry for my hair. Have you experienced any build up or difficulty washing the grease out of your strands with shampoo?

    Hi Ms. Barbara, do you use protein treatments? And how often do you trim your hair? Thank you for the video

    • @BarbaraBirungiSunflower
      @BarbaraBirungiSunflower  2 роки тому +7

      Hello, yes I do use protein treatments once a month. I do trim only when it’s needed so I no longer have a specific time period when I trim. I used to trim twice a year but last year I only trimmed once so it depends really

    Thank you for the video! Your hair is growing beautifully. Do you have to shampoo your hair to remove the hair grease? I want to use hair grease more but do not want to have to shampoo my 4c hair weekly after applying the product.

    • @BarbaraBirungiSunflower
      @BarbaraBirungiSunflower  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you so much for watching my videos. Yes I do have my regular shampoo that I use regardless if I applied grease or not. I do shampoo my hair weekly when I apply grease but you don’t have to wash your hair every week. You can wash every after two weeks. When I use grease, I don’t moisturize my hair during the week because it helps lock in moisture for a long time.

    • @pwill8668
      @pwill8668 2 роки тому +1

      @@BarbaraBirungiSunflower You are welcome. Thank you so much for your guidance. I may try to go two weeks without remoisturizing my hair but I am not sure if it will get too dry. If I try to rinse the hair grease out without shampooing it sometimes, I am not sure if the moisturization process will be effective.

    • @BarbaraBirungiSunflower
      @BarbaraBirungiSunflower  2 роки тому +1

      It is not too late to start over again. Sometimes that’s the best decision you can make for your hair. I had long thin brown relaxed hair before I chose to cut it all off. It was hard but look at my hair. This is the healthiest it has ever been in my life.

    Pls can you tell me the best hair cream for virgin hair ,not to tangle I want it be straight

    • @BarbaraBirungiSunflower
      @BarbaraBirungiSunflower  2 роки тому +1

      Natural hair is usually curly kinky and etch so there is no product or cream that can keep it straight but there are styles such as braids or twists that can keep your hair in a stretched form so that it is not tangled up.
