SHAMPOO BAR: I swear I’m not gatekeeping the shampoo bar, the owner of the brand was just very rude to me and although it is a great product, I will not be advertising them on my channel 😬 Luckily I found an alternative and it’s SUPER affordable - Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo Bar. Very, very similar.
DEEP CONDITIONER: L’Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Balm and I added Alma Powder to it (any alma powder should be fine).
LEAVE IN: Shea Moisture JBCO leave in. 🤞🏾

You're sooo right that it's not about the products. Too many people confuse their hair journey's with getting the right products; myself included at some point!
But products over time do have a significant effect on the hair. Using products with silicones, drying alcohols, too much protein, sulfates. Using these tends to dry out and break the hair the more you use it. Imagine using a product with drying alcohols every week. Your hair is going to be extremely dry over time. Though sometimes, these do not stop people from from retaining length, it does not retain HEALTHY LENGTH. Which should be the goal.
But you’re still using the product?? Just tell us miss ma’am
@@larissad2590 You’re absolutely right!
Working in twisted sections when washing has really saved my life. Although I got my hair to grow a lot since I went bald, I've dealt with a lot of breakage from poor detangling. Working in smaller sections helps tremendously. Thanks for this video
Working in sections has helped me too
I swear I’m not gatekeeping the shampoo bar, the owner of the brand was just very rude to me and although it is a great product, I will not be advertising them on my channel 😬 Luckily I found an alternative and it’s SUPER affordable - Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo Bar. Why were they rude? What happened?
sorry to hear they were rude. defo not getting the support then - i was so excited to look for this product but not anymore. thanks for the alternative tho!❤️ God bless you
Thank you for listing these alternate products.
Say no more to me, I can completely understand. In my city there's a restaurant with delicious, affordable seafood. But one of the owners is so hateful & rude I refuse to recommend it to people.
It costs nothing to be kind, & even if a negative answer or message should be told it should be everyone's goal to be kind.
And we should not support any business that can't must simple courtesy.
Is it safe to use amla every week then balancing it with a moisture conditionner?
As soon as 4b/4c hair is moisturized. They swear it’s not 4c . 🙄 this is a great routine and some of these I already implement. Thanks for sharing 🥰
But her hair is not 4c though. It’s probably 4b rather than 4c
@@leesookij agreed!!!
Lee Sook which is why I said 4b/4c reading is fundamental.
@@lexuriouslooks wow... what a rude, unnecessary comment. We're just disagreeing with the 4c part... damn.
Michele A okay & I said what I said. As soon as 4c as well as 4b hair is moisturized people say it’s something else. & that’s what my statement was about. Whether her hair is 4b it was still encompassing both. So the comment was unnecessary just as yours is which is why reading is fundamental.
I’m glad I’m not the only natural that still washes in 8 sections. I save so much time and detangling is so easy. It seems no one is doing that anymore. Great video!
I’ve never heard of a scalp scrub! Definitely adding this to the routine! Thanks babes!
My derm recommended a salicylic acid shampoo to help remove the dead skin off my scalp.
Me too actually! I guess we learn something new every day!
You or your mother never scratched the dry skin on your scalp with a comb before washing? You have to lift the dandruff before washing.
@@anikaka3850 that’s a lil different and scratching it is actually not the healthiest
Google and search on UA-cam been around for a while. Our whole body needs that texture too get dead skin/ build up off our scalp.
Simple & straight to the point as always. Your hair is so gorgeous & happy new year 🤎
Thank yoouu 💕
I love the fact that you’re straight to the point and not telling us it’s a must to get specific products in order to get a certain result!
Love it!❤️ Thanks a lot.
If you ever wonder why your child has thicker and longer hair than you do I will tell you the secret. Most kids don’t like getting their hair combed so you let the style stay as long as possible. Most kids complain and cry about pain when you’re combing their hair so you try to be as gentle as possible. You ever hear someone say the reason why it doesn’t hurt when you do your own hair vs doing theirs is because you can’t feel it the way they do when you do you own hair? That’s because you’re being too rough in your hair and you don’t know it because you can’t feel it the same as if you had someone else to do it for you. So 1. Be gentle when you do your own hair as you would on a child. 2. If it hurts when someone is doing your hair then it is too rough.
This was interesting to watch. I simplified my routine also, I just shampoo, condition and style it now. No unnecessary steps like pre-pooing, deep conditioning randomly, adding random oils/food or products, excess manipulation. I follow the instructions on the products instead of leaving things in my hair for excess amounts of time. Wash day takes me under an hour now and my hair is thriving because there's no excess build up left by oils or leave in conditioners 😊
What styling products do you use??
This is how I started, and then I had to get a protein deep conditioner because even though I don't deep condition... I got mushy hair, after which I realised I had high porousity hair. I still don't own a moisturising deep conditioner or leave in conditioner of Moisturiser though. Pomade on damp hair and done.
This definitely doesn’t work for everyone, everyone’s hair is different. My hair is very dry and deep conditioning regularly and leaving it in for a longer period of time is necessary.
@@kelab4599 you are probably uding the wrong products.
@@rue80 Nope my hair is completely healthy and down my back lol. Like I said, that method doesn’t work for everyone.
gurll...you're hair is stuninggg! looking forward to more hair videos this year xx
I didn’t want the video to end it was so satisfying 😭
Same!
Your hair looks very healthy
Your hair routine is soooo soothing. I love it.
Ayurvedic herbs are the truth! I've been using them in my hair for the past 3 months and my edges are back, my hair has been easier to manage and the texture is more consistent throughout my scalp. Love it!
Hi which ayurvedic herbs do you use pls?
@@hamletoduahofficial7647 Shikakai, Amla, Neem, Aritha and Mendhi. Not all together, I would mix Shikakai and Amla as a deep conditioner. the other ones for cleansing or as a hair mask
@@keoni_6375 you use the powder before or after shampoo ? Please
@@anonyme3838 I usually do it before shampoo, so I can clean any excess powder out of the hair
Wow the definition! I’m definitely going to incorporate alma powder to my routine!
This was so simple and to the point wow thank you ma'am
Your hair is the closet to my texture and density that I’ve seen. I’m so glad I found your channel
The dedication!
Love this, it's a lot of work considering how much hair you have, I did a short wash day video too and I and my short hair are tired, but I plan to make it a weekly thing so, we keep going. Great video.
Imagine starting a year with this helpful video!! go girrl
You are so right! I missed the compete year by one month but so thankful to have this info for my dry dry 4c hair👍
OKAY, inches, let's go! Thank you for sharing these fantastic suggestions! The entire video was very satisfying to watch!😍👏🏿😆
Yay! Thank you! 💕
I have the exact same hair. Same texture, same length everything. I can't believe I found you! What hair texture are you bc I'm not sure what kind is.
@@justagirl4627 judging from the texture shot of cheys hair and I have the exact same type of hair as well i would say its like type A and or B hair. Everything she's doing this video is so accurate and will definitely help your hair grow and be more moisturized and healthy she has a great tips.

I hope everyone in the community can realize that it's not the products that grow your hair, but your own hair types and your regimens

Yay, I have been waiting for this.
I've watched this video at least 4 times. I love your hair and your routine. It was also very informative.

I didn't know about using a sugar scrub I'm definitely trying it next time :) Thank youu
Thank you!! You have me reading up on alma powder. I've never heard of the powder. Your hair looks very similar to mine and I need moisture in my life. Nice work💞
Thanks for sharing and thanks for being politically sensitive with not labeling your hair type. Great job and I look forward to seeing your continued hair growth lady👏🏽👍🏽🙋🏽♀
I also finger detangle my hair in this ‘perpendicular’ way with my fingers at 3:03 it helps a lot
Your so freaking beautiful! I cant even ✨❤️
Your hair is gorgeous! Great job on growing such a beautiful healthy mane!
Thank you for showing!
Thank you. Great video that reminds me how impatient and rough i am with my hair.
Scalp scrubs are everything!
Nice routine 👌🏾
beautiful hair!
I like your application!
Favourite youtuber ❤
Beautiful hair ❤️
Good tip applying the leave- in directly after rinsing out DC in the shower.
Great video!!
Amazing definition
Never heard of scalp scrub definitely trying it on my next wash day thanks
She’s right. Technique > Product ☺️
I use to make my own sugar scrub for my body, but never thought to use the same idea for my scalp. I think I will try this. I was recently advised by my salon that I have unchecked build-up on my scalp causing hair loss and weak strands, but I am struggling to find a clarifying shampoo that I am not allergic to. Using a scrub for my scalp would at least remedy the build-up issue without using a harsh clarifying shampoo. Thanks for the tip
Does the Scalp club help with itchy Scalp?
Also I loved the video, short and to the point
Wow I like this methodology it makes so much sense. I will try the bar shampoo the most available in my neck of the woods us black soap. Love the whole method really. But as you say Its the method rather than the products. Thank you so much for sharing.
I haven't washed my hair in a few weeks because of the weather but I am taking notes!
All my attentions to you girl... thanks for this simple and quick hair care routine... on my next wash i'll try the scrub.
New subbie here
What type of hair is yours?
Can you share the name of that bar champoo?
Thanks
I've never used a scalp scrub before. I'm always afraid that it will cause excessive tangling on my fine natural hair
It’s better to use chemical exfoliator ( like salicylic acid), the scrub will cause friction with your hair,
@@missgurl7662 that’s exactly what I was thinking. I typically don’t purchase scrubs like this because my fine hair can’t really handle it too well
@Trinity M ohhhh! Yeah,
You’re super lucky giiiiirl! Thick strands can definitely withstand a lot more than fine strands - my hair would snap and break just at the sight of those scrubs coming near it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have scalp soreness at my crown area. This scrub is a no for me! 😬 is it made of sugar? 😳
Definitely gonna try out that sugar scrub!
Thank you so much ❤
Great video hun💕 what shampoo bar did you use because your hair was looking moisturised 😍
She’s probably using obia naturals.
@@gcledor that’s girl I’ll have to see if I can source it in the UK
Right on time before washing my hair
Your hair look very beautiful 🤗💕
I saw your title and I was like yaaaasss! 💃💃💃💃💃
What store do you get your products from? And thanks for taking your time to share this information 🤗
I think this year we should keep it simple, but good luck
I’m so scared that using a scalp scrub on my fine strands will cause it to snag and break off 🥺 cause literally any friction and my hair breaks off💔 and no it’s not weak it’s just fine
I also have super fine hair, so I use ACV diluted in water overnight as a scalp treatment since it has the same exfoliating and cleansing effect . Fine hair can be a mission because stuff also gets stuck in our hair ( I cant even use henna now) ! Use 50 mls of ACV to 500 mls of water to begin with and then you can maybe strengthen the concentration if you don't have a reaction and if your hair and scalp love it !!
@@TheMultipauline thank you I'll try this💞 honestly it can be mission 😂
Same af
Same here but i STRUGGLE with build up😩
@@thetongueofangels1882 You might want to try an exfoliator like the Good Biome Scalp Solution by Bea's Bayou Skincare
Can you please show us more content about your company glow force 🙏
Ayuverda!!! Flaxseed gel was a game changer, tbh ANY film forming humectant particularly because I'm a bit more of the high porosity side. Have also noticed that my porosity has gotten lower since like 2 years ago. Interesting, hair is very very interesting.
Thanks for suggesting adding amla to the DC I was was like 💡!!!! I’ll be doing some henna glosses in my next 6 weeks regimen so adding the amla to my DC after rinsing out the henna gloss is sure to be a game changer. New subbie here 🙌🏾
I finger detangled my hair once with shampoo and my hair was just so soft
Can we know the deep conditioner mix and shampoo bar ??
Finally 🥰
For me healthy hair is more important than hair type. What brand of amla powder did you use. Your hair is healthy and beautiful 😍
Thanks for sharing
you have beautiful hair.
How do you make your leave in conditioner and what do you put in
Your hair is gorgeous! I am trying to transition from my relaxer. This time I am not going to take my hair for granted!

Great job
What shampoo bar is this? The slip omg!
Great video, thank you for the information! What is your porosity please?
I don’t know my porosity 🤥

Is the scalp scrub like a prepoo for you?
I would really like to try that shampoo bar. Where can I get it?🤔 I've never tried one before. And that one did look very moisturizing and made me one to try it. New subscriber by the way. 🙂
Obia naturals make great shampoo bars. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the brand she’s using.
@@gcledor Thank you I'll look into that brand and try it out.
She said she’s not telling anyone the shampoo because the owner was rude.
Can we get a list of all products used!
Wow a lot of work, but we like it💜
your hair is GOALS! mine has recently started to beak really bad at the roots and thin out, when. it used to be super thick and I'm unsure what to do!!! Any advice?
Are u cowashing? This happened to me and I had to switch to a sulfate free shampoo because the conditioner build up was destroying my scalp
@@liam.7149 no I am not! can you explain more maybe this is why!
Review your routine and habits … what are you differently now compared to then? Maybe new practices are hurting your hair . If this might be it maybe go back to your basics and see if things get better.
If practices are the same … look at how your life is going and if there are significant changes that might affect hair care and hair health (idk if this makes sense but I’ll give examples ). Are you busier? Stressed ? Sleeping enough? Changed your diet ?
If there are no changes … maybe go to a doctor or someone who specializes in hair loss and find out if it’s hormones etc.
@@musicmeetsher Well, for me I was cowashing frequently at some point and it got my hair super soft and beautiful BUT I think the conditioner was not getting my scalp clean enough so I started noticing breakage at the root. So much so that I even got a bald spot in the back of my head. Not fun. However if you don't cowash, maybe it's something else causing your breakage, like stress
Maybe check your iron levels, possibly vit d too, though low iron will mess with your hair. You can find out about that on YT.
Hi your hair is beautiful 😍
Trying this on my next wash day! Thanks for sharing. What was the name of the bar shampoo you used?
Right I'd like to know
She’s probably using obia naturals. They make great shampoo bars. I’ve tried the bars myself.
