@@semtex234 Vette is sweet and a twi'lek, but the journy to getting and corrupting Jaesa to into a horny psychopath makes the payoff all the sweeter, especially since you can choose to spare either her parents or her master in line with your characters own morals
Ah, boss fights before the level caps was a lot harder. Always a little underwhelming with the Baras fight when i replay these days. But the Sith Warrior is the best class story i agree 10/10.
With how things turn by the time you get to "Knights of the Eternal Throne", I always loved to imagine my Sith Warrior meet my Jedi Knight in a crossover, and have the SW say something like 'I will not have the Emperor's leash on me ever again.'
Also side note seeing are sith warrior fall in love with vette who's technically my favorite companion in this game made me so happy that i was so happy that we got to reunite with her during knights of the fallen empire and reunite are love was really awesome and amazing in my opinion. :)
I'll be honest I still consider the Imperial Agent storyline better - it does a lot to highlight the role of non-Sith in the Empire, especially when one of them just dissolves the agency and you're powerless against him. However the main enjoyment I got from the Sith Warrior storyline was thanks to that choice you've pointed out - I set out with that character to be a monster, and I was completely able to be just that.
the interaction between baras and our character is similar to sidious and vader, baras keeps our character busy with seek-and-destroy missions, while we grow stronger and baras becomes scared of him/her
The first time i played SW, a glitch caused Darth Baras to appear headless. The writing and performance was so good i just wrote it off as him being actually headless until the game loaded his mask lol
The only issue I have with the warrior is how comically it treats the jedi. Like it has jedi knights and a master willing to turn to the darkside within a minute of meeting you. It feels very contrived.
IIRC that happens in two cases. And Kar who is probably only really important ones someone who arguably was so corrupted for a such a long time it really needed relatively small push which the actins through the entire chapter before you even meet him should qualify That is a bit less of a case for the second one but I think it's important to remember that the game takes place still fairly short after devastating war that gave Jedi a lot to resent. Also given that this was really just a glorified cease fire with both sides arming up; and Force users being heavy hitters on both sides might lead to less than strictest adherence to doctrinal purity. Or to paraphrase SDF: you are not turning them mad, you are just making them mad.
I loved sith warrrior storyline it was really awesome and badass and one of the best swtor storylines within this entire game next to imperial agent which was also amazing in my opinion. :)
For me: Inquisitor is the best Knight Warrior Smuggler Consular Agent Bounty Hunter Trooper I can go back and play the Inquisitor over and over, especially as a light side. I love the sarcasm and sass. It feels like it has some levity but also seriousness in it. The rise from slave, especially if playing an alien, to council member is fun. Warrior is fun but I did not like Baras, he just annoyed me. It also got on my nerves because I kept thinking "It's obvious he's going to screw me over, I should start plotting to kill him" and the character just never does. Happens with Zash too, of course, but it happens sooner and the character does make some moves to counter her before it happens. Light side Inquisitor feels like it really fits the dialogue with the jedi in the academy: "If only the jedi found you first". You're a practical imperial loyalist. Can see the glaring flaws in the Sith and interpret the code in a different way, trying to make the empire better instead of power for yourself. Dark side is the complete opposite. You're diet Palpatine. Offbrand Vitiate. Your evil and love to be evil and zapping is always entertaining. Smuggler is just all around a fun side story that I never play past the main plot of it. Consular is only as low as it is because I'm still replaying it and finding that I like it a lot more than my first go Agent and Bounty Hunter are good too but I preferred the Smuggler's comedy. But as standalone stories to also stop after their main plot they're good. Trooper is definitely not for me at all. I just don't like it. The writing isn't bad but I'm not going to force myself to play through it. I'm not a military gal and I accept that.
SWTOR sucks as a game, the Sith Warrior storyline is the only thing that made me want to like it and has made me revisit it twice after launch. Inquisitor was fine too, but not nearly good enough to make me want to play through it again. The only reason I'd ever revisit SWTOR again is if I at some point want to play through the sith warrior again.
Still remember playing this class story a long time ago, and that Overseer Tremmel was voiced by one of my favourite actors the late Paul Darrow (Kerr Avon from Blake's &) RIP Paul
Sith Inquisitor Story for me is the best the rest for me feel lackluster. The going from nothing to Darth and Dark council member then your darth title changes depending on your alignment, and going from slave, acolyte, apprentice, lord and then darth. Going back to Korriban for your own apprentice through the trials just like you did at the start felt so good and it’s also an awesome companion, being from an old forgotten ancient bloodline was also so badass. Nothing for me beats it or comes close the only downside was having to pick sorcerer or assassin but now you can play juggernaut or marauder with the sith inquisitor story which is perfect. Not even mentioning the companions in inquisitor are better. Khem Val is the goat and rest are great where Warrior it’s vette, the hk droid and jessa but I personally don’t like jessa. At times Baras comes across smart, deceptive and cold but really when things don’t go his way he screams, cries and throws tantrums like a child. So I can’t stand watching a fat grown man throw temper tantrums and act like a kid. The only thing I like about Warrior story is being the chosen one type of character but once you become an apprentice you feel like a dog on leash, no brains nothing. Even without a master after betrayal you feel more like a tool to be used rather than a powerful Sith Lord
The real problem with inquisitor is similar to Consular. Both stories needed far more than 3 chapters to tell. The Warrior's story was literally just chapter 1 of the Inquisitor's story. The Warrior committed an entire chapter to discovering there was a target, a name to the target, the identity of the target, reach out to the target and finally make her break and take her as an apprentice. Inquisitor just had one planet. They see a couple holocrons, dupe her, bam. She wasn't even the focus, just a means to an end. After the classes were freed from the story, I can whole heartedly admit that Warrior is my favorite story to play. It's actually fun, from beginning to end. Consular and Inquisitor got robbed though. They tried to pack in too much. I mean, hell, the Kotxx stories are LITERALLY the bulk of the Consular story, just with more room to tell it.
Baras is an amazing villain, despite all the fat jokes and how we sass him, he still got that presence and authority of someone that is always in control(even in spite of those outbursts and past failures) The companions are amazing too, they all are "breaking the chain" like you are, Vette was was a slave, Quinn and Pierce are kept down by bureaucracy, also Quinn is also held on a leash by Baras, Jaesa is tied down by the Jedi order etc. also, there are a lot of good model for Sith Warrior since some of the most memorable characters, including Malgus and Marr are warriors.... also while male warriors are cool, I actually really enjoy female warriors(body type 1 or 2), because I guess it makes it more interesting to see someone who is so tiny yet so masterful and confident in their abilities(unfortunately male voice doesn't quite fit body type 1)
Now that you mentioned it, I do wonder, how does a sith get fat? It would make them unfit for a lightsaber duel and they would be an easy target to be overthrown. I imagined baras gained weight after becoming a darth and maintaining his position through other means instead of having to personally defend himself. He is a master of deception after all. Who knows, I'm theorizing at this point.🤔
@@TheVillaousTerminater I mean he probably has ton of muscle under the fat too, a ton of fat guys who can fight. also, why worry about saber fighting when you can fry someone with lightning instantly(he got an entity to boost his force power) most of the time
Baras is one of, if not the most obvious villain of all class quests, from the beginning you already know that he will betray you if you have a minimum of knowledge about Star Wars, not to mention how ridiculous the way Quinn is treated, NPCs dies for much less but the game forgives him without giving the player an option
The only downside to SW is the companion quests. It seems that Quinn’s betrayal and Vette’s slave stories are predetermined. There’s no ability to choose which path to take. You have to forgive Quinn, and you have to free Vette. And Vette doesn’t try to free herself in any way except asking… which works so well with a Sith Lord. Other than that, SW is a pretty good class to play. I’m constantly torn between Inquisitor and Warrior for my favorite.
The difficulty of the game sadly got broken, when they started to change a lot to make it free to play especially if you come back to low level planets...
Odd, I disagree. As someone who has played KOTOR 1 over 10 times and KOTOR II 4 times, I find the class stories and expansion stories really entertaining. Have you played all the character storylines? There are a few that are not great
Very nice Video! I played that story over 20 times and still discover new lines and differences. Personally the best playthrough was, when I was fully working against Baras. Mocking him at any chance and always decide against his favor. But funny enough, the second best playthrough is when you are fully devoted to Baras, literally licking his boots and once he betrays you, you turn into a raging sith, killing everything in your path. This storyline is perfect and that betrayel of Baras... when I experienced it for the first time, I was so mad at him, that I was really in rage to kill him asap. What you said at the end, that Baras is no big fight. Sadly, that happend because of the scaling thing. Couple of years ago, when that wasnt the case, Baras was a really hard fight. When I first did it, I had to ask a friend in the guild to help me defeat him. Allthough that was shortly after the release of SWTOR. I think it was 2012 when I started playing SWTOR.
Yes, some people have mentioned the scaling as well. Really unfortunate. Jedi knight emperor boss was more like what I was expecting. Still, the archon in rise of the hutt cartel is the hardest story boss I've faced in the game.
I loved the warrior storyline, its my all time favorite. But I do prefer how the inquisitor builds a power base on their own instead of just getting a rank for being badass. lol
The only thing that i can't swallow in the warrior story line is the lack of interaction with the chosen race, darth nox got me used to be a zabrak and be called a alien scum by a random NPC.
Really wanted to personally experience these stories but the tedious gameplay and absolute pay to win nature of the game made me quit in a week. Absolutely hated the ingame decisions made by glp but watched all 8 cutscene movies. Really good content.
Hmm, I say the generic questing was often masked by story for me. That's one of the strength of the sith warrior was that you wanted to see the story fully fleshed out which made me more lenient when it came to the quests. As for p2w, it's really a non-factor in this case because it has no influence on the stories themselves. You can play the entire core classes origins without paying a single dime.
The Sith Warrior storyline is definitely my favorite. It's ironic that by killing Darth Baras in the end, the Warrior screws up the galaxy. False Emperor or no, Baras would have been the ideal ruler of the Empire. At least a far better one than that genocidal idiot Vitiate.

i dont play the game anymore, but that doesn't stop me from watching the cutscenes like a movie on youtube every now and then.
How I spoil myself with the expansions as well.😆. Makes the two of us.

IMO, sith inquisitor is better. Raising ranks, having petty revenge, obtaining superweapon for your pocket moff and etc.

Agent story is the best SWTOR story for sure.
Personally like BH as well but it's definitely not up to those 2's levels.

agree they completely made inquisitor betray too predictable. I really wish she played more role in the story than just another evil witch.

Sith Warrior was so much fun to play. I played him 100% Light Side. It drove Darth Cartman...sorry...Baras crazy.
I loved every minute of it.

The game really isn't that demanding. If you find a good offer on any gaming laptop from the past 10 years, you should be fine.
