Vampire Hunter D came (1982) four years before any Castlevania games arrived. And there’s a lot of Vampire Hunter D comics out there beyond what you saw in the two movies. you stopped after the defeat of dracula. no wonder you disliked the show. spoiler]]]]]]]]]], he comes back from the dead where he reunited with the love of his life. he is well written as a background chessplayer. he is not a forefront character like Trevor or Alucard.(playable characters in the game) I do have to agree with you that Alucard could be better written. He is too naive especially when he fell for the threesome with the twins. Vampire hunter D is a whole other show in terms of writing. It is more creepy, eerie, unforgiving, enigmatic. Castlevenia is a good time, occult and modern. There is nuances in both. But keep watching, because Dracula was not "defeated" he has other plans.

As much as I liked the original Castlevania series on Netflix (minus the jump the shark moments in season 3). I can definitely agree that Vampire Hunter D is better in so many ways. However, I can't say the same for its terrible sequel, Castlevania Nocturne or Cringelvania Workturd as it's disrespectful to its source material by flanderizing Marie into a greedy whiny bitch, Ricther Belmont barely being there, and worse, giving us the worst version of Annette by turning her into a hateful bitch with a terrible backstory that rips-off Django Unchained and relies too much on politics over character and story. Also, im not holding my breath for season 2 because the creator & writer, Clive Bradley, is an idoit man child who can't take criticism. Season 2 will be so much worse. I would rather watch Mortal Kombat Annihilation over Castlevania Nocturne for how bad it is.

After watching first minute, I guess you're a big anime guy and thats why u hated it cause castlevania is rly down to earth compared to other animes. Anyways disliked and left after said first minute

When you get beyond the Nostalgia, the original Vampire Hunter D anime isn't really all that good. I don't judge the animation, it's old and can't really be compared to the modern stuff. But the actual story itself is just kind of rambling and feels incoherent and largely incomplete. But iirc it's literally just a partial piece of a story from the manga so it was never really going to be a very effective single stand-alone narrative. Bloodlust, however is an absolute masterwork though. They clearly learned all the right lessons from the failings of the original when putting Bloodlust together. I like D in general as an action hero, but as a character he's really flat with virtually no actual personality. Which is really odd as literally everyone else in the D universe has their own distinct personality and motivations. Even the villains. ESPECIALLY the villains. If I had to pick between him and Alucard (or really anyone in the Castlevania franchise) D loses that contest every time. Everything just kind of happens AROUND D. But in Castlevania, everything happens BECAUSE of the main characters (both protagonists and antagonists). Even as good as Bloodlust was, you could slot almost any random nameless person in with a good physical combat skillset and get the same story. Castlevania just wouldn't be the same without Dracula, Alucard and the various Belmonts. Castlevania is exactly what it's supposed to be. An adaptation of the video game and the established world built in that game. It did a wonderful job of expanding on and incorporating elements from the various games and the established stories therein and expanded with some new concepts. Castlevania is great. Bloodlust is also great, DESPITE D, not because of him. The original Vampire Hunter D is a good bit of nostalgia but not all that good of a movie or story really.

I'd presume you are aware of the Castlevania game lore before watching the series as the series is an expansion of the original games. The series is MEANT for those who have played the game.If you know nothing of it, which sounds like you don't as you can't even recall Alucard, its clear as to why the whole narrative doesn't make sense to you. You're comparing a series over a full length film in which every bit of time is valuable to keeping the narrative tight and close to the main cast oppose to exploring more about the world in a series format. However, its fair that at least under the lenses of someone who has not or does not know of the castlevania games, you've given an honest opinion about it. If you do like Vampire Hunter, the 2nd movie Vampire Hunder Bloodlust is better.

Actually Castlevania is really good except the new version in the 1800's. Vampire Hunter D is really good as well, Both. However D left a lot of things in the dark. No drive for D either in both movies

If it is not publish by the same publisher as BDO…Kakao games will make it more p2w than TL.

I'm almost certain Chrono Odyssey will be a lobby/monster hunter-esque game rather than a full-player open-world experience.

I loved the warrior storyline, its my all time favorite. But I do prefer how the inquisitor builds a power base on their own instead of just getting a rank for being badass. lol

Fully agree. What I really like about TL is the sense that it is truly an MMO, truly massively multiplayer with tons of players doing content with you, but everything else about it turns a lot of people off. Chrono Odyssey looks a lot closer to something like BDO in what it's trying to do, with cutting edge visuals, character creation, and action combat mechanics while also borrowing MMO staples like raids with other players. The world and lore is also a lot more interesting than what TL's going for. If either game has more reasonable monetization they can win, but they're still KR games so I doubt it.

What are your thoughts about Chrono Odyssey vs. Throne and Liberty? TL really missed the mark with their choice to go tab-targeting...We will have to wait for more reveals from Chrono Odyssey to see how they're going about their action-combat. I will say I was personally hype about it because it was my childhood. The voices, the depictions, references to the show like the Yun Gong Xun Yin song. I grew up with Journey to the West and a lot of my favorite things were based on jttw like dragon ball, infernape from Pokémon and others. I do care about the gameplay but I care more about the respect to Chinese culture and the impact JTTW had on my childhood.

As long as the company makes money from the game (see quaterly financial reports of NC soft), it is worth supporting it - but this has to be balanced out with establishing a new product, since GW2 can't be a forever game. I am excited to see what ever they are doing next, but I doubt they will name it "Guild Wars 3". Because the other thing might not even be a typical MMORPG, even though it uses the IP. GW1 was not an MMORPG as well - they labeled it a "Cooperative Online RPG" (CORPG) if I remember correctly. When GW2 ended up being an actual MMROPG quite some GW1 fans were unhappy about it and stayed withthe older game. And given the reality that MMORPGs aren't that big of a genre anymore to begin with, why should Arenanet and NCSoft build up a modernized in-housecompetitor for a product that still makes profit, when you can make more profit by tapping into a related genre?

Vastly overrated and aggressively mediocre game. Does not deserve the plaudits. All it does is steal from other games and shield itself behind 'souls-like' because the sweaty incels will defend it to the death.

Baras is one of, if not the most obvious villain of all class quests, from the beginning you already know that he will betray you if you have a minimum of knowledge about Star Wars, not to mention how ridiculous the way Quinn is treated, NPCs dies for much less but the game forgives him without giving the player an option

I could never get into this game, it's just so mind numbingly boring regardless of what you play as. It's nothing like KOTOR 1 and 2

The visual was good but the combat was mid. I don't understand why there are so many people say it is the goty. It is a 7 for me, don't understand the hype at all.

For me: Inquisitor is the best Knight Warrior Smuggler Consular Agent Bounty Hunter Trooper I can go back and play the Inquisitor over and over, especially as a light side. I love the sarcasm and sass. It feels like it has some levity but also seriousness in it. The rise from slave, especially if playing an alien, to council member is fun. Warrior is fun but I did not like Baras, he just annoyed me. It also got on my nerves because I kept thinking "It's obvious he's going to screw me over, I should start plotting to kill him" and the character just never does. Happens with Zash too, of course, but it happens sooner and the character does make some moves to counter her before it happens. Light side Inquisitor feels like it really fits the dialogue with the jedi in the academy: "If only the jedi found you first". You're a practical imperial loyalist. Can see the glaring flaws in the Sith and interpret the code in a different way, trying to make the empire better instead of power for yourself. Dark side is the complete opposite. You're diet Palpatine. Offbrand Vitiate. Your evil and love to be evil and zapping is always entertaining. Smuggler is just all around a fun side story that I never play past the main plot of it. Consular is only as low as it is because I'm still replaying it and finding that I like it a lot more than my first go Agent and Bounty Hunter are good too but I preferred the Smuggler's comedy. But as standalone stories to also stop after their main plot they're good. Trooper is definitely not for me at all. I just don't like it. The writing isn't bad but I'm not going to force myself to play through it. I'm not a military gal and I accept that.

Right off the bat, it seems like they put 70% of the resources into the visuals and the rest had to share the remaining leftovers. Do you think the game was overhyped due to the drama surrounding it? I think you might be oversimplifying the situation. An interview doesn't mean an endorsement, but the majority of the public won't see it that way, especially when it comes to social media. Time moves at like, quadruple speed on the Internet, with narratives being spread every second to misrepresent something. With this being the climate, and how people consume media and process information, it could easily cause permanent damage to someone's brand and reputation, which of course also comes with a domino effect of spilling over into the lives of everyone he works with. I disagree. I LOVED Origins, its what got me hooked. But i dont see how the artistic style of tgis will make it any less playable than Inquisition. Graphics have progressed, its been 15 years. Technology has made massive advances in that time, i respectfully suggest we just roll with it and accept the fact that Origins is now nostalgia!

The only issue I have with the warrior is how comically it treats the jedi. Like it has jedi knights and a master willing to turn to the darkside within a minute of meeting you. It feels very contrived.

Deadpool had more references to pop culture because they finally had the rights from Disney to do so… the first two movies would’ve had way more if the writers weren’t handicapped by Fox and Disney competing for Marvel IP’s. Deadpool has always looked like a super serious character but he’s not. If you go into any piece of Deadpool media expecting a literary masterpiece and minimal jokes you’re not a Deadpool fan

I'll be honest I still consider the Imperial Agent storyline better - it does a lot to highlight the role of non-Sith in the Empire, especially when one of them just dissolves the agency and you're powerless against him. However the main enjoyment I got from the Sith Warrior storyline was thanks to that choice you've pointed out - I set out with that character to be a monster, and I was completely able to be just that.

With this realization, modding, while a gamechanger, will have to sit on the side until the end of the playthrough or maybe permanently moving forward. Also, I didn't talk too much about KOTOR because I haven't made a single video about it, saving most of it for that video. Who agrees Robocop needs a sequel??? The Sith Warrior storyline is definitely my favorite. It's ironic that by killing Darth Baras in the end, the Warrior screws up the galaxy. False Emperor or no, Baras would have been the ideal ruler of the Empire. At least a far better one than that genocidal idiot Vitiate.
