Great tutorial! I actually just saw them on Facebook not long ago and I finally broke down and ordered the 7pc. set. I used to have a custom cake business, but have since stopped selling to the public but I still wanted to get these tips for my own personal use for family cakes and cookies...They seem like such a time saver than having to pipe every petal for each of the flowers. I'm looking forward to using them for Easter and maybe Mother's Day and for my birthday cake.
I was wondering what you were doing with the plastic wrap...pure genius! I've never had luck with the multiple colours...I will totally try your technique! I didn't even know about Russian tips until now. Thank you so much! Clear instructions and video.
This is a great tutorial. An absolute eyeopener was when you put the different colored butter cream on to ceramic wrap, made it into a roll and put it into the piping bag. That is the best tip EVER !!! Thank you very much.

Just beautiful! The plastic tube is a new idea I havent' tried yet! I just practiced some of these roses today and next time I'm gunna try using the plastic tube. I bought my russian tips from Amazon a while back but got frustrated because I didn't use the proper icing texture. Followed some tutorials on that and they turned out much better today! Still have to practice that motion of pressing and holding the bag straight up and down with a quick lift. It is an acquired skill for sure but worth the effort!
I also just got mine and haven't tried them yet so was thrilled to see your video. I also appreciate your showing how you did the two tone on them I had seen pictures of some flowers using the tips and the centers were different and I hadn't figured it out. THANKS.

I just bought myself a set of these tips and one for a friend. We will be trying them out soon to practice for the cupcakes we'll be making for my son's wedding. Also, I've been using the plastic wrap method for piping for years...so much easier! Great video, thanks for sharing!

Hi Renee, I just bought a set of Russian tips and tried it out with my German Buttercream, a little too soft so I chucked it and started again with another tip. Thanks for sharing, I learned a lot, especially how to apply the multi colors to the bag. Im going to try again with a cream cheese icing but I will definitely follow your instructions!

Lovely idea the color mixing. I bought the set of nozzles some months ago but my first try was a failure. The way you do it is magic. Also the roll is a superb idea. I think the consistency of the icing is very important to get a good result. I will keep on trying. Thank you for your video

I bought some Russian piping tips a few years ago but didn’t try them until recently because it looked so intimidating! But now that I’ve tried them, I absolutely love them!❤ I will definitely try your suggestion for putting the frosting in plastic wrap though. Great video 😊

I have never heard of hi-ratio shortening. I use Crisco. I live in Minnesota. Should I use a different brand? Thank you for your help!

I just got these but haven't used them yet. Love our video and the idea of placing the buttercream in plastic wrap. I will definitely do that from now on. So much easier to load that way.

Yes I ordered just to have some fun and to bake these and offer them to Senior centers. Probably some Rest homes as well. I wished I had done this earlier on in my life. I bought s small set of Russian piping tips yesterday from Amazon. I look forward to their arrival. I've been watching a lot of youtube channels displaying these unique tips, so I think I can do this, even though I have never piped buttercream ever in my life! Ha! I just bought some of these tips at a store in Toronto, ON....haven't used them yet but will soon! I LOVE your method of saran wrap 2 toned icing!! It sure will save on disposable piping bags, too!! Thanks Renee!!
