The announcement stream has been so crazy to watch as well, even more info than what we were subject to 2 weeks ago during the LA event. I don't even know if that crafting stuff will go into early access, might be something they are still iterating on. The group is hyped, we have no idea what we're doing, should be a good time :D What are you excited about? Thanks for watching!
Poe 2 looks almost perfect! Only problem is you still have to waste time identifying items rather than being able to read it and decide if you pick it up.
Btw you can pause in multiplayer. Just need all players to do it at the same time and the game will pause. They talked about it in one of the interviews.
Hey empy, you said you don't do much yapping content but i really liked this video, was clear and you didn't talk about stuff for 2 hours to get to the point. Poe2 changed so much since the first trailer that i watched to the point where i am excited again for the real version (probably skip the early alpha and try to dodge most videos to enjoy it myself when its polished and done)
Could say they took the barbarian system of auto swapping weapons when specific skills are used. But not actually sure the timeframe of when that was shown off/revealed in D4
I did not get a single “weird” vibe from this video, be confident in your ability to make great content even pre recorded!! Love your vids man keep it up
since you have 3 deterministic effects if you use transmute and regal essences, that makes you pretty likely to hit what you want, and you can make them all prefix/suffix and omen annul.
I'm most excited about the gem change and being able to pick up and equip upgrades. The interactive tool tips are really cool, too. I'm not excited about them, lol, but they are cool. The game feels like it's turning exactly into what I wanted it to and then some. There is everything I wanted and so much more I never thought about. It's a genuinely good game! I haven't been excited for a game like this in a loooong time!
I had actually never seen the transmutation bench. Most of what I have seen of the crafting system is really awesome. A lot of the same ideas but in more straight forward ways. Could not be more hype for this game. Looking forward to your farming strats!
re: atlas - you can count the nodes vs how many you'll have, you don't have to speculate - middle section around 80 nodes, you get 30 points to allocate, specialized trees - 8 points to allocate, subtree on top 18 nodes
I like the most that it feels like a giant improvement over poe 1 for all new-to-average players, and multiplayer especially in the same breath, without making poe 1 any worse for the super fans. It's different enough that poe 1 doesn't feel like shit waiting for it to come out.
9:34 "in multiplayer you cannot pause the game, so we'll see gow that goes in group play" you can! during one of the many exilecon talks (no idea which one) it was mentioned that, if all players in the zone pause together, the game will actually halt (and consequently, if 1 pepega unpauses, it will resume for everyone, so have fun trolling each other)
I am glad they are brave enough to take straight inspiration of other titles. Blizzard should have done the same and if they ever want to get back on course, they'll need to implement the ideas of their competition, because we as the players like and want those tried and true gameplay systems.
@junk3996 it says 0/8 on the trees so it will most likely be max of 8 points which makes sense they said you had to choose which you want in the live stream
The essences that crafting bench uses aren't the same as essences as we know it/the ones GGG used showed in the livestream i don't think. I could be wrong though. The way Empy made it sound like, it seemed more similar to how harvest crafting juices were but for a singular stat, rather than it being an actual essence that you used to craft 1 stat to an item
Im excited to be there from day one this time around, instead of joining a decade later. Maybe this time Ill even have the slightest clue on item crafting.
Hey Empy, maybe think about playing with something like an actual "Tank" - Since blocking is active, there might be a lot of group power to find in having a dedicated person take the attacks for your group
So salvaging items reminds me of LE, but in LE, items drop identify, so you know, wich armor how high life roll, pick it up and disenchant, but in PoE, you need to pick up a lot of items and soend time identifying them to search for the life roll you need to craft?
Does the crafting system mean u can make bis items whitout gamba for other mods? Like first you craft highest tier health, then highest tier fire res etc. Or can you guarantee highest life roll and rest is random (like essence)
I still can't figure out if crafting bench is in early access or not. This video makes me think that it is? I was under the impression it was scrapped.
With the new atlas / map system they mentioned you get locked out of the path if you fail the map. It made me wonder if you could get completely locked out if you lose in a circle around you 😆 I'm assuming they'll have something to combat that
As much as I love PoE, the more I see and hear about PoE 2 the less excited I am. At this point if it stays like that I will just stay and PoE and D4...
I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing but it feels a lot like they saw some of the systems that Last Epoch had and said "yea we are stealing that"
few things im NOT looking forward to in PoE2 #1 it seems like its more like last epoch where its encouraged for combo type of skills. given the way skill gems are, poe2 is going to be more about having more skills rather than 6 linking one skill and using it with only supplemental power boost things in conjunction (like auras etc) i personally just didn't get into LE as much because of the way the skills are, with their CDs and encouraged to get a rotation down. #2 loot filters. not sure how poe2 is going to launch with loot filters. if it'll be like LE and you can make your own in game? or not the WASD movement doesn't bug me at all either. my favourite ARPG is Chronicon and it moves that way. another game i super enjoy, The Ascent, also uses wasd. its going to feel great
Johnathan has said that they don't like having cooldowns, those are reserved for extremely high damaging attacks. You might have 2 or 3 skills that you do most of your damage with at any given time.
1 button builds are still more than possible in poe2 and in fact in a playthrough of someone, they did more dmg with a 1 button build than bothering to use multiple skills that combo'd together.
please give more yapping videos actually, i enjoy this style of content. i think there is value in hearing what someone thinks without having a thousand twitch chatters insert their opinions as well. both are good but in different ways. anyway thanks for the video

Just to clarify, you can't "fill out the entire skill tree of a mechanic" since you only get 8 points
is 8 points the max though? empy says the more you interact with the mechanic the more points you get until you can eventually fill it out
@@junk3996you can see it in the atlas tree page. Its out of 8

"infinite atlas" has me wondering, does the map tier and difficulty just keep ramping? Are tiers capped at 16 but mobs get delve like scaling?
maps on this atlas are just layouts, waystones are 1 that provide difficulty/rewards and they may be capped at t16
The map tier comes from the waystone items you slot in to the atlas.
