@junk3996 it says 0/8 on the trees so it will most likely be max of 8 points which makes sense they said you had to choose which you want in the live stream
I gotta disagree with you here Empy. You did an amazing job in this talking head video and it was very interesting to follow your thought and pleasure to watch. Good job!
I had been one of the lucky ones that were invited to the Closed Beta earlier this year. I signed an NDA and can't talk about it. You cannot max a tree of a mechanic, you have a certain amount of points that you can allocate. For example, 8 points in Breech tree while there is 16 nodes available. Other than that a clean list of things that probably many of us old PoE players are exited about. :)

Not sure if I'm sold on every map mechanic being available at the same time, it will be interesting to see how that design choice plays out. In PoE1 if there's a mechanic you don't like, you aren't 'forced' to play it (unless occasionally in SSF), and you don't feel like you're left behind or missing out since most atlas mechanics have somewhat similar loot payouts. It might be hard tto balance when a player is running the one mechanic they enjoy, vs the min-maxer who runs every mechanic (even if they don't enjoy them) because its the most profitable thing to do.
