Thanks for bringing this up! I think it would be awesome to feature the Abyssal side of ISK-making in our next video. It's definitely a bigger money-maker, but it also requires more hands-on management, as you pointed out. I'm curious about how many alts you use for Abyssals, but it would be really interesting to see how these two activities stack up against each other.
For me I've been enjoying mining in my Wormhole with Endurances, I find it easy isk as they can mine 30 minutes before they are full so it's a good semi afk activity.
Mining is one of the best semi-AFK money-makers, the "semi-AFK" part of that being key. Most of the other ways to make money on that scale are very involved. Yes, when you're talking about 10 accounts & a maxed-out Rorq it's no longer semi-AFK, but you get to that volume of clicks much faster when you're running the Abyss.
Yeah, some of my corpmates won't leave the moon belt until they get to the 3bill mark. The fact that they can make enough to buy a station everyday while watching tv series is impressive.
Great video!!!! Our Lopar Moon finally jackpotted for the first time in 7 months, 2 week pull was about 2.5m m3 of the shinning lopar (6.9b worth). I use a POS tower if its not safe for my rorq and use a porp to boost and haul/ferry to tower and just compress later at the tower. I would say the most valuable sites are the NS boarder rare asteroid anoms, that moonshine is gold. 🤑can clear it in 30min with 2 boosted hulks. I dont know how you mine with 10 lol, i capped my self to 5, any more and i feel you could be loosing time with managing / tabbing them all.
Hey Chris, ive only ever gotten to mine one of the A0 sites so far but yea its great ISK. Yea when that moon pops blue its like a feeding frenzy in the shark pool lol but its awesome! Yea it 10 alts is the max for me with hulks and I find it rather annoying all the clicking etc so im dropping back to macks as they only need input like every 7.5 mins give or take which is much more manageable for me at least.
In nullsec I prioritize Mercoxit and Ytirium, anything else not worth it to me. There's the top 4 or 5 moon ores which are also worth alot, but they usually go fast and by the time I get to it only the cheap stuff is left. Not to mention I can't compress moon ore and very rarely we'll have Orcas providing compression, at most we'll get Porpoises but those can't provide compression for moon ore.
I think many players put up with mining on 10-some accounts because it's the bottom of the supply chain and they're not in it for the isk from selling the compressed ore or the refined materials, but rather they need the refined materials for industry. They might not want to exchange their isk for someone else's time, so they choose to mine the ores themselves, then any money made on top of the value of the refined materials can be considered "pure profit" (technically it isn't because they *are* trading their time for the materials...)
Did some anomaly mining yesterday evening. 190.000 m3 of Mercoxit with one barge semi afk while doing FW on my main. You do the math "if it's worth it".
You have to look at each activity in the game as it's own game and not as EVE overall. I enjoy the mining progression game and don't compare it to other activities.

If you have 10 chars and you are making 800mil per hour- THEN YOU ARE MAKING 80 MIL PER HOUR!! why lying? And to pay money, like real wworld money- you need anywhere from 150 to 200 euros. For that you can get 6k plex, which you can sell for 30bil. How long you have to mine to earn 30 bil? Yeah...math.
No it's 80 million per character per hour, but it's still 800 million per hour if multiboxing 10 characters. Also why are you bringing real money into this? I doubt many people can afford to pay for 10 accounts out of pocket every month, or 6000 PLEX like that. The whole point is to earn the isk to buy PLEX. 80 million per character per hour means it will take around 32 hours to PLEX your accounts each month. Most people who take mining seriously do a lot more than that. If you mine 3 - 4 hours a day, so let's say 80 hours a month, anything over that first 25 billion to PLEX the accounts is profit. Even if it took you 40 hours to get 25 billion, that second 40 hours is 25 billion in your pocket every month. I don't do 10, but I multibox 3 miners regularly and at the very least I PLEX those 3 accounts fairly casually with mining. That also leaves 6 other character slots for other characters and I don't pay anything to play the game.
@aidanleblanc1846 try getting enormous cargo container, deploy it where you want to mine get back in hulk deposit ore into that while mining. Come later to pick up everything with miasmos. You get the speed of hulk and kinda mitigate his low ore hold.
Dude, Hulks equiped with ORE strips are the GOAT of mining, sadly mining in this game isn't designed to be done with just one account, in my book you need at least 4 in order for mining to start being good in null, if you are always dependent on others to receive boosts or compress then you're playing the wrong game, get a porpoise plus 3 hulks, and you will be getting nice income FAST, real miners don't hesitate, mine your ore, stack it where you mine, get miasmos for each account, move your ore for compression as a fleet, EZ ISK
I use to mine because it was laid-back and relaxing (highsec). Then CCP Nerfed Fucked the Orca and the M3 of roids. Now its a CONSTANT click fest. I unsubbed 12 accounts. Only Bots mine now.

Which of the ores do you normally find in WH space?
@@strange_Netin wormholes, the best ore you will find is gnesis which is ~okay. The gas can be quite good, c-540 and c-320 are the most profitable.
the only downside is wormhole sites can sometimes have super dangerous rats you need to kite or destroy

But can a regular player get their hands on moons? Back in my days moons were restricted for giga alliances’ wallets.
Most large alliances have opening mining on moons im lead to believe. 80% of PH moons are opening for all members to mine.

Hulks suck until you have a dedicated hauler alt (or friend)
or a ship that can compress and then its unmatched.
