I do this on videos when the creator is deliberately wasting people's time with surface-level questions, answers etc. But this guy is actually trying to help out and he didn't try to overextend it past 10 minutes. Yes, he has products but its your choice to buy it or not. There isn't anything underhanded going on here as far as I can see.
Just wanna say congratulations on quitting the corporate world and doing your own thing. The fact that your products are amongst the best available doesn't hurt either. Love your vids and what you represent. Beard on brother
Thanks Matthew. It's definitely been a rewarding journey and I wake up everyday loving Monday's through Friday's. There's so much work left to do to make the world a better place.
Nizoral. My face was a rashy, flakey, mess. One wash with nizoral and I was a new man. Now I use it once a week and beardbrand tea tree once in between. Got a boars hair brush. Everyday I go through and gently brush through the spots around my nose and chin where im prone to flake. I took it down to the skin after months of this nasty dermatitis. But now Im on my way back to glory!
So did Nizoral clear up the issue? I have the same problem where after around 2 months of growth, the skin on my chin, mucstace area with get so itchy, red & flakey that I always have to end up shaving because I can't handle it. I use beard oil & a beard wash but this problem still happens, I just want to find a way to fix this & be able to enjoy having a beard & not have to shave.
@@Brandon_N420 probably you have the fifth issue. I do. Nizoral worked on my scalp and went away. Now I have it on my beard after a stressful situation triggered it. Go to a dermatologist and get nizoral if it is not available in store.
Been growing a beard for about 4 weeks now the itching has finally stopped thanks to your videos if I never knew and bear oil or beard balms I would of took it off within 4 days I'm liking the look and I'm gonna keep growing 👍🏻
Thanks for another great video, Eric. Been following your journey with the company for a long time now. Stuck out some really bad beard days by coming back to this channel for some inspiration. Peace, and beard on!
My personal experience. My beard feels more itchy/flaky the longer it is. The only thing a brush will do is help clean and remove the existing flakes that exist but, this wont alleviate the redness or inflamation. I've tried beard shea butter which has not helped either. The only thing that has helped me is tea tree oil which is probably because i live in a very humid climate where I need anti-fungal products.
i have seborriec dermatitis, after a shower you must hydrate your face and i use kenacomb or ottacomb prescription cream if i have a bad flare up!! Natural sweet almond oil in my beard helps also.
I use Head and shoulders brand shampoo . I had itchy beard so bad I felt like cutting my head off ! This cured it ! Just be sure to work it and really good down to the skin , and don't be in a hurry to rinse it . It also conditions to beard very well . Simple ! There you go !
Thank you for the schooling on the human beard. I wasn’t sure what was going on it started itching when I got out of the shower and then some heavy flakes/skin came from my beard and I had to rob the towel across my face.
great video. found it very interesting. I'm lucky I don't have any of those issues. but I believe less is best when it comes too using a wash product for your beard and a great believer in beard oil. anyway thanks for all the advice you give us .
So when should u wash your beard once a week or every 3 days I need some sorta pad get under beard lol wish u guys had some sorta thing like that I still get flakes idk
You can wash your beard every other day, or 2-3 times a week depending on how active you are. Another way to get those flakes out is to use a boars hair brush as well. -Josh
I have a fairly long beard and in my case the moustache area is the most problematic as far as flaky skin. What I notice though is that it's seasonal, which is very weird. My routine is always the same, beard oil every morning, wash couple of times a week, exfoliating every now and then, just normal stuff... but sometimes I just wake up with my moustache looking like shit, all flaky...the rest of the beard is always good though.
I can grow a beard and really want to but my hairs grow out super sharp and it's actually so painful that I can't sleep... I don't mind itch but how do I get overcome the painful stabbing hairs?? Anyone ever had a similar experience??
I'm going to explain as best I can, But I have more than just normal beard dandruff, I have dry peeling skin flakes on the surface of my skin, I also have this in my eyebrows underneath eyebrow hairs, I have to use one of those dental tools like a hook for cleaning teeth, and i gently peel those dry skin flakes off and then comb it out as i go along, i could be in front of the mirror doing this for like 40 or so minutes and its pretty annoying, but has to be done, and a day or so after a shower (or later in that same day) it comes right back in the same places, i don't know what products i can use to make it go away, and its pretty frustrating, I don't know if i'm explaining normal beard dandruff here or if something Medical needs to be done to get rid of it, awhile back i even shaved off my beard and it looked hell of a lot worse, since facial hair wasn't hiding it, my entire face looked like it was dry an peeling off, and I should add, that its NOT dry an peeling flaky skin Above my beard Cheek line, only below, wich i find kinda strange now that im thinking about it.... I would like to know of anyone else in the comments are going through with what I explained here.....sorry this is so long, but i'm very glad it fits the topic of this video
You'll want to keep your beard very moisturized throughout the day. This will keep your beard healthy as well as make it's may to your skin. I'd also recommend using beard wash and conditioner every day when you shower. It'll help wash the skin underneath and clean our the remaining flakes. It may take a little for you to see changes, so stay at it for a week or two. With a regimen like that, you're beard will be soft, moisturized, and healthy, plus the products will give the same effect to your skin and solve your issue. Always happy to help. - Josh
Hi Josh, Thank you for the comment and and the advice, really appreciate it, I will try that, I will have to get some actual beard wash, most likely BeardBrand (Obviously) lol, right now I been using Tea Tree facial cleanse and other Tea Tree products
Someone who had recovered from seborrhea to tell me some tips please help me. The dermatologists and doctors DOES NOT help only people who had beaten it know how. The Nizoral helps but very little.
I shaved recently. I had an itchy rash in one spot. I realized the area had been itchy for a while, on and off. A few weeks in to regrowth and the same place is itchy. What can I do?
I was sitting in my car, looked down at my fresh black shirt, and noticed LOADS of beard flake 😖 I think I’m going to chop it to just to let the skin Breathe
I'd say it's probably better than nothing at all, but it's not as nice as a product formulated for the beard. Also you'll want to use oils that are cold pressed, not expeller pressed.
If interesting that you can take 10 guys, and get 10 responses on the matter of itch. My beard didnt itch at all. I liked hearing the five tips, and honestly, never thought that it might be a medical condition--good call.
hey i need some help, my beard isnt very long but it aint a 9 o clock shadow or whatever its called, but its kinda long, i have beard dandruff, but not my face irritates alot, i took some neckhair off and even that feels irritated , this started like 4 days ago, someone help.
It's the same room as the brick wall videos. I just moved the stuff around to have a different look. I think I looked a little washed out when against the yellow brick.
....... I've never washed my beard, I've washed my face thousands of times but nothing directly to the hair..... that would explain the pain and dandruff
Beardbrand I can grow a small and thin goatee! And i have only a half dussin hairs on my cheeks! On each sides! I'm 23!! Probably screwed when comes to be able to grow a full beard! 😬In the future!!
Glad you enjoyed it Michael and you grow what you got. I didn't start growing my beard until my late 20's so don't give up hope. You could just be a late bloomer.
Eric Bandholz Your Beardbrand videos and the beard trim videos are awesome!!! Hopefully in the future i will be able to grow a full beard! If so i will never shave it! 😬😆👍🏻
I've noticed that I get beardruff on my chin when I use a hair dryer to style my beard. I use plently of oil to hydrate it but it still doesn't help. Any suggestions? I style my beard on weekdays. I can't go out the house without styling it because it is really kinky and curly
It just takes looking and asking around. If you see someone on the street, or around town, who has a great beard just ask them where they get theirs trimmed. You can also visit your local beard club and ask them.
Honestly this video was pretty vague without visual examples on what to do. Great video but I feel like I’m being sent to another customer service rep cause the last 5 couldn’t help me either
The negative comments on beard bigatory article i have to say i agree with the so called nagatives...a true beard is the following- hair that leaves the face, like you used to say in your older vids. You keep making a joke of your mustache, instead of clowning it out, just grow the beard and maintain the mustache at a manageable level. This you you will be seen as the champion beardsman like you used to be, before you would get hardship while growing a beard, when you became established u started messing around with it too much. Grow it out and maintain it.
save your 8 mins ..the tips are:-
1. let it grow
2.exfoliate
3.hydrate with beard wash/oils
4. allergies
5.seborrheic dermatitis
Thanks for summarizing the video, we go a little more in-depth about each subject though.
Shashank Yadauvanshi thank you
@Donnie Darko fr man, like just watch the full 8 minutes dont be an idiot who writes crap like “to save yourself the 8 minutes do this”
And remember get bread brand for number 4

My beard feels like it’s on fire . That’s how much it itches .
Thanks for another great video, Eric. Been following your journey with the company for a long time now. Stuck out some really bad beard days by coming back to this channel for some inspiration. Peace, and beard on!
Thanks for sharing man! Glad you've stuck with us along the way🤘
I have to open up my beard and pick out the individual flakes with my fingers one at a time. I also comb my beard.
My personal experience. My beard feels more itchy/flaky the longer it is. yea you are right Eric & it is the biggest problem for beginners
Yup. I definitely struggled with it when I first started growing, but have it mostly under control.
Eric plz tell me how I can grow hair just under the lower lip area
Hemang Teotia genetics
i have seborriec dermatitis, after a shower you must hydrate your face and i use kenacomb or ottacomb prescription cream if i have a bad flare up!! Natural sweet almond oil in my beard helps also.
I've had a beard on and off my entire adult life and suddenly this is happening I've literally never had any problems. I hope you can help!
I use Head and shoulders brand shampoo . I had itchy beard so bad I felt like cutting my head off ! This cured it ! Just be sure to work it and really good down to the skin , and don't be in a hurry to rinse it . It also conditions to beard very well . Simple ! There you go !
Never had itchy situations...still a very good vid! keep the good work!
Thanks for your comment! At least now you know how to get rid of itchiness if you ever get it.
Thank you for the schooling on the human beard. I wasn’t sure what was going on it started itching when I got out of the shower and then some heavy flakes/skin came from my beard and I had to rob the towel across my face.
Well done. Very informative.
We're always happy to teach more about beards and solving the issues around them. Thanks for the feedback.

When I was a kid I came to this channel wanting a big beard so bad. Now I'm here because my fucking beard is killing me and I'm about to shave it off!
great video. found it very interesting. I'm lucky I don't have any of those issues. but I believe less is best when it comes too using a wash product for your beard and a great believer in beard oil. anyway thanks for all the advice you give us .
Always glad to assist in the beard journey. Thanks for your feedback!
How long did it take you to grow that beard? Any videos on how you maintain it? I am growing a beard again and aiming toward something similar.
Very thorough video. Thanks.

Nizoral Shampoo. But keep it off the beard.

Any updates? I too suffer from this ridiculousness. It's a major pain. I'm looking for any and all possible solutions!
Someone who had recovered from seborrhea to tell me some tips please help me. The dermatologists and doctors DOES NOT help only people who had beaten it know how. The Nizoral helps but very little.
Good advice I’m cutting my beard wrong way.
Love that look Eric!
is putting regular cooking canola oil on beards efficient?
I'd say it's probably better than nothing at all, but it's not as nice as a product formulated for the beard. Also you'll want to use oils that are cold pressed, not expeller pressed.
My beard is extremely itchy and flakey so hopefully this helps. Also, what is that black stuff on the wall behind you?
It's sound absorbing foam, it's put on walls to help reduce echo
thank you Idrah
If interesting that you can take 10 guys, and get 10 responses on the matter of itch. My beard didnt itch at all. I liked hearing the five tips, and honestly, never thought that it might be a medical condition--good call.
We gotta cover all the bases. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you!
What if i use the beard wash to my hair cause i need a good shampoo for hair ??
hey i need some help, my beard isnt very long but it aint a 9 o clock shadow or whatever its called, but its kinda long, i have beard dandruff, but not my face irritates alot, i took some neckhair off and even that feels irritated , this started like 4 days ago, someone help.
Is he in a studio or what do you think?
It's the same room as the brick wall videos. I just moved the stuff around to have a different look. I think I looked a little washed out when against the yellow brick.
Yeah, we have a small soundproof studio in our office that is great for shooting videos in.
Eric Bandholz Okey! Nice! Ok
Beardbrand Awesome!
....... I've never washed my beard, I've washed my face thousands of times but nothing directly to the hair..... that would explain the pain and dandruff
Very informative
Thanks Michael, we appreciate your feedback.

Bald Bearded he always has a great beard
I use to have really bad beardruff
I've noticed that I get beardruff on my chin when I use a hair dryer to style my beard. I use plently of oil to hydrate it but it still doesn't help. Any suggestions?
I style my beard on weekdays. I can't go out the house without styling it because it is really kinky and curly
You may want to try applying some balm to your beard for a little added hydration.
Hope this helps!
- Jack
Beardbrand I'll try this. Thanks
How can i have a mustache like yours?, It's soooo coool!!
You just gotta be patient, eat a good diet, and keep your mustache well groomed👌
I put really good lotion in my beard . No dry skin
What's the name of the lotion??
Eric, can you recommend where to get a beard trim in NYC?
It just takes looking and asking around. If you see someone on the street, or around town, who has a great beard just ask them where they get theirs trimmed. You can also visit your local beard club and ask them.
Yeah I'm allergic to aloe vera and is makes my whole face and head itch
so his beard can talk...
So can Psychostick's
beard on!!
and Keep on Growing! :D
Eric Bandholz will do..
Honestly this video was pretty vague without visual examples on what to do. Great video but I feel like I’m being sent to another customer service rep cause the last 5 couldn’t help me either
