man, i feel for you guys out there. Couple other YT guys talking about how tough it is. Bright spot is the lawn is looking nice and level! Best wishes with the weather!
Dude, on that Nut Sedge get rid of it before those rhizomes spread any further. Image Southern Lawncare seems to work well. if you are willing to damage the tuff, flooding and pulling will work. It's tedious, but you can use nitrile gloves and rub Roundup directly on to the leaves, a couple of applications that way on that small patch will kill the top and bottom of the plant. Now a days, I zap the area with the Sedge in the late winter/early spring a couple of times and then dig out sod sized sections......
Cool front coming in after this week.. that'll be a relief at least. And hurricane season will upon us very soon. Everything will be looking good before we close out the season, I'm sure of it.
Having a nice lawn isn`t supposed to be depressing, but when it hits 107 daily it makes it hard to want to mow a lawn or do anything else outside. I`m on a well, but I still have been trying to conserve. I`m just trying to survive until it cools off or we get some rain. We usually get some just before dove season (9-1) in Erath County. I always say, "This Too Shall Pass". Bring on the rain!!
It’s a very defeating time in Texas to care about a yard. It feels like chasing feels gold now. This is my first experiencing this and it’s just so damn frustrating.
Fort worth bermuda South west side. Whats saving me is i raised my height of cut, wetting agent humic and sea kelp backpack sprayed once a month . plus i syringe 1 minute per zone in the hottest time of day to just cool it off. No brown spots at all and still cutting sunday Wednesday. We get 2 watering days here. 1 minute syringing total 5 minutes guess the city can tell its sprinklers since its such a short cycle.. i get my 1 inch on the 2 days we can water..
I’m in San Antonio and this is the 2nd year of this weather pattern. My Bermuda in the front was damaged by the snowfall that we had a couple years back and I lost about half of it. I was banking on having the grass come back and spread like gangbusters but with this drought it just cannot get going.
This heat is getting seriously old. My front yard is a little better than yours but only because I have underground drip that I can use daily if I want. My backyard, is horrible. I have been trying to use my septic recapture to water but even that isnt enough.
Stay strong and positive i loved my lawn more than going to tha gym cause i work out but i still spend more time in my lawn
Hey coach
Yeah dont worry it happened to me but now is getting recover i dont have h.o.a i used my garden hose for 2hours with my hand nozzle a week
My San Antonio Texas lawn is fried like yours. Water restrictions. 100+ everyday for months, no clouds, no rain.
I'm also in NBTX, I've had some hot spots, take a core and water that core hole. Get the water under the first 4-6" of soil.

I feel that pain :(
would raising the hoc help?
My Bermuda hasn't even been growing much . I live in Crowley Texas and in the same boat bro.
Crowley here as well! My lawn mower is growing spider webs. Trying to do my best just to fight off the dry spots from spreading.

How can they track to see if you’re watering your lawn more than once a week?
Feel your pain ! In DFW my grass is starting to take a beating, we need some good rain!
Do you still cut lowwwww despite the heat and drought?

Are you not allowed to hand water on off days? Your lawn still looks incredible despite the atrocious weather we’ve had here in TX.
You can after 8pm...so far
