- In this Halloween Special, I look at the link between Quakers and witches. I look at the spooky history of Pendle Hill, the link between the Quaker and witches' hats and what paganism, wicca, animism bring to Quakerism.
The inspiration for this episode came from the following Quakers Today podcast episode and subsequent article in Friends Journal

Wow, this is incredibly timely. I have been a neopagan witch for a little over ten years. I started attending Quaker Meeting this year because I wanted community for my son to grow in.
Spooky one might say 😂 That’s really interesting, how are you finding it? Any similarities?
@@Quake-It-Up I'm not the only pagan there. One of them is an animist and there are a few who are more interested in earth based spirituality. They made sure when I joined that I knew they were liberal Quakers. I didn't really understand what that meant at the time.
A very good friend of mine is a Wiccan Quaker ( I'm a Wiccan/Sufi). She loves the community and completed the training, but did not go through with the full initiation because because she was concerned it would involve swearing an oath and Quakers don't swear oaths. Her teacher was fine with that, she was simply acknowledged as a member of the community.
Thank you Friend for another excellent video !
Thank you for watching!!
Wow you are really down on Lincolnshire 😂 Now I want to visit it and see just how dreadful it is 😊
Lincolnshire is aaall fine, it’s Lancashire that’s the problem… 😅
