- TiSGA! The second in the This is series, TiSGA taught me a lot about what I want to craft this video style into down the road.
I sincerely hope you all enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed making this thing. It was a labor of love and a real trip down memory lane. Enjoy!!

Don’t get me wrong, SG-1 is so good and always will be. But for me my heart will always be with Atlantis. Maybe because I watched it when it first aired till the end. That being said, Stargate will always be one of the pillars of Science Fiction television amongst the many others like Star Trek, Battle Star Galactica and many more.

They could make a series about one of the races that was told to us but never showed, like the furlings, that on 12:50. The Gadmeer, that one sulfur-based life. Or even the asgards, how cool would be an "Stargate Asgards", telling the stories of that race, and their mission helping another planets, protecting them. So many ideas.

I still think they should do another two seasons just to explain what happened after the city's landed in San Frisco Bay and do like her where are they all now kind of season that what happened to all the league characters I know there's an an online novel I believe but it would be so cold just to turn into another two Seasons were the original actors because the hardest thing for me is you can't just tell me if they landed in the city on Earth d-end that's just not a good ending not as bad as the Game of Thrones ending but still a bad ending I miss I miss Stargate Atlantis and SGC

Did those railguns actually ever do anything to the Wraith ships? Or any enemy ships for that matter?
Haha, hive ships no, not really. They are pretty good against fighters though. Darts, those weird green energy ships in The Daedalus Variations. I would say they are more of a suppressible measure than a main offensive weapon. Before the Beam weapons the 304's main weapons were missiles.
They seem’d kinda underwhelming tbh... Really good vs fighters and smaller craft.
Would’ve been pretty interesting if the BC-304’s had larger railguns as main weapons as well.
Maybe something that fired larger slugs. Carrying more mass into the target.
But, I’ll take Plasma beam weapons as well. 😁
At first, they only had space adapted earth weaponry, as they could not steal or trade in for energy weapon tech, even the asgard only grantd them Navigation data, shields and some Upgrades to the e gind tech they already developed on their own (this Was maybe their enty into the club of spacetravelling civilisations) only later after they prooved themself several times and also saved their shiny grey a**** the asgardxgave them another Upgrade to shields computers, their beaming tech and cinally even their weapon tech. They had become worthy to be the fith race
Those railguns are efficient against fighters, as a point defense grid but they are far below being a Main weapon. Also their rockets, was just... Cute... But with asgard plasma beams and shields, well this is a Argument. The ori destroyed the Korolev.... But after the latest Upgrades, the 304's was capable to destroy a ory ship with only a couple of shots. They are now the most powerfull spaceship within at least 3 Galaxis. (Milky way, ory homegalaxy and Pegasus galaxy) this is fucking awesome and with Daniel Jacksons/Merlins adaptions even cloaking battleships... As cool as the Shows was, the Story needed to end at this point, das ist he ta'uri are so fucking overpowered by now, that they could even destroy the ascended if they like. This is just to much to handle without going big&crazy... Implementing a new order to the galaxy... But how to do so without beaming the New goal'ud/New ori.
Not that I'm complaining, but how come a series that's less than half the length of SG1 have a video almost twice as long? I mean it's fine as long as the SGU video doesn't end up being an hour.
For SGU I figure I will just put music over the episodes and post a bunch of 45 min videos. =P
In reality there were a number of things that made this video longer. The main one is that when I was making TiSG1 I was not really sure what the video was going to be and was kind of just making it as I went along. So when TiSGA came along I had a vision for the "This Is" series would be and changed up the format a little bit. The SG1 video used only one clip for each episode. When I did this video I focused more on trying to cover the story so there is often several clips per episode.
Another reason is that SG1 was a lot more episodic, mainly in the early seasons. SGA had a lot more overarching plots that spanned several episodes.
I may someday go back and remake the SG1 video, but I have a lot more This Is videos in the pipeline so it wont be any time soon.
Soooo ummm.... I just finished editing TiSGU up to the end of season 1 and it's 8 and half minutes long... so, yeah. >.< The first thing I thought after realizing how long it was was "Oh shit... RRW is going to have some words for me about this!"

I was never happy with the ending of the show or this video. But I could not help that that was the last shot. It only seemed right to have it end the video.

At some points I agree with you, I have kept it in mind while working on TiSG1 EE. If you have Dolby Atmos it can mitigate some of the loud parts as I edited this with that on.
