just finished my woodland mushroom which I bought at yarndale. It is a very lovely project. The kit is full of lots of fluff. So I was able to make two lovely mushrooms and I still have a little bit of wool leftover. Phillipa is a great teacher and a very lovely lady. Thank you for making the kit and this great tutorialvideo with lots of tips in it. ❤
How incredibly generous of you to share this, thank you so much. That's one gorgeous mushroom and a a very thorough tutorial. I've learned some new techniques from this that I can also use in other projects.
dear Philippa. Now it's time for you to receive a loving greeting from Denmark. You should know that many of us needle filter learn a lot from your fantastic educational video, we just have 1 problem 😥, we wanted to order and buy Kits from you, but the last time I bought Kits from World of Wool, I had to pay 34 .00 GPS 🥹 in customs VAT, which happens with goods that are not included in the EU 😌, is so sad, because you in England, have so many amazing and beautiful things, suitable for needle felting, and like you and your instructive videos' is a show and teller 🤗. One thing I can write, thank you for all your fantastic features, we hope that there are a lot of people who buy your Kits, and then we can hope that Europe will soon figure out to allow trade without customs and VAT, but that probably won't happen 🤔…. But thank you for you, and your beautiful video stories around your beautiful country 🥰🤗❤️…. Big hugs from Irene Denmark (Køge) 🥰🤗. ….. sorry for my English, Google helped me 😁😁
Hi, Thank you so much for such an amazing and lovely message! Your English was perfect and I hope this all translates ok. Europe is a problem for posting, I have given up as the last few items I sent went missing or were returned, all due to taxes and custom issues so I couldn't keep losing money. Etsy is a great source of other needle felting suppliers who might be in Europe and much easier to order from so do have as look there. I really appreciate your kind words and thank you for supporting my channel and watching my videos, it all really helps. It's great to know you are watching and take care, Philippa xx
OMG!!! It's gorgeous. I can see it inside a bell jar like a victorian specimen. Is there a particular wool that you could practice with. I live in ireland where everything is 5 times more expensive than anywhere else. Also is pre-felt easy to get?
Hello from ireland. I was just wondering if there is a reason why the needles aren't more sturdy. I havent done any felting but it seems silly that they should break so easily. Very wasteful really. Maybe they need to be flexible but maybe its just modern manufacturing. Make it then break it! Just buy more!! I will give it a go. You' re really at the top of this crafts skill level. Thanks for the tutorials.
They are very thin so difficult to keep the strength in them however once you learn how to use them you are much less likely to break them, once or twice a year is my rate, thanks so much for your kind words xx
Hi, you move your hands further apart, about 8 inches and then gently pull. The length of each strand is long so if your hands are close it won't separate. With the wool in this kit, the only merino is a small section and you split it length ways, only a small section xx
I know this is not a beginner kit but I just couldn't help myself and am one that always challenges myself. I have this cute little fairy kit I just got off Amazon that will look really cute with this. Just ordered the kit on Etsy. I will tag you on Instagram if I am successful. 🙂
Thank you! And yes, you should be fine, I talk you through all of it, it is just getting it firm which helps a lot, I hope you enjoy it when it arrives, a big thank you for supporting my business xx
Philippa is a natural educator with lots of good advice and sincere candor. Her hands don’t miss a beat either! Fun way to learn… ❤
Thank you so much! xx

Don't forget that you can use another needle to hold pieces together whilst you are felting the join.
Yes, absolutely xx
