Drums that are around 60 years old where you can't help but think and imagine if you were a teenager back then and someone gave you the gift of a drum kit like this
My first drum kit. Stamped 1963. Stored at my sisters house while on hiatus, she sold it in a garage sale. I was heartbroken. A few years later I found a late 60’s Pearl kit. It’s Orange glitter w/o original snare. Bass 2 toms, floor tom. I traded an old Peavey amp for a 50’s Slingerland snare. Right after I bought new heads, hardware and cymbals I broke my left foot. It never healed so my drumming days were over. I still have it and may decide to sell it.
Yeah thanks, I've actually been doing these demo videos because I sell the drums in my online store. So when recording it's just the raw audio from two AKG 451 overheads, nothing fancy just trying to get sense of how the drums actually sound. Thanks!
Let me guess ..... you learned it, so that makes you superior to every other drummer who doesn't utilize it, even though they could make you sound like you've never played a day of drums in your life.
Old stuff sounds so cool. You can tell
The best!
Tuned perfectly. This demo focuses on the sound of the drums and not on how fast the drummer can play. Great job!

For real!!!
I had this exact kit back in the day. Selling it was a huge mistake. Under the lights, nothing liked better than silver sparkle! Absolutely gorgeous!!
Thanks so much!
Champagne sparkle is great too!

Yes! This old beauty is the best-selling and most-recorded drum kit of all time, simply because of how good it is.
Nice ! Love old Luddies ! Actually I love them all. 👍
Boy would I love to have a set that sounds like that.
We've got one available now in our store! reverb.com/shop/everettdrumshop

Too bad you didn't learn trad. grip when you were learning to read music and mastering the rudiments.
Why is it too bad he doesn’t play with traditional grip, it’s not for everybody, most famous and wealthy drummers don’t either
I actually do play a little trad. grip, certainly not as fluent with it as I'd like to be.
@@petergriss6131 Agreed!
