- Learn how to play the game Rock Paper Scissors in Finnish! 🪨✂️📝
Kivi Sakset Paperi
Kivi = Rock
Sakset = Scissors
Paperi = Paper
Note: As I was uploading this I realized that there is actually a huge debate in Finland about whether it should be: Kivi Sakset Paperi OR Kivi Paperi Sakset. xD I honestly had no idea this was even something people argued about. In my school it was always "Kivi Sakset Paperi" so that's what sounds most natural to me (plus I think it flows better anyways :P ) BUT there may be some Finns that strongly disagree with me so .. oh well 🤷♀️

What order is it in your language? 🤔
Kivi paperi sakset on amerikassa
Being from the UK it’s Kivi Paperi Sakset
In Dutch it is "steen, papier, schaar" which is the same order as in English
I was laughing way to much at the *loading* face & error part when you thought about the finnish order :') kiitos! I knew sakset, but its very nice to know the other words as well. I use Kivi Sakset Paperi a lot with friends to decide things, so se on pieni mutta hauska that I can say it in Finnish now :D
When editing I was like oh gosh.. what am I doing xD Glad you thought it was funny :p
The loading screen got me too!
This is my favorite episode. I just watched your latest on adjectives and after seeing the iso ja pieni kivi, I came and watched this one again just to make myself smile.
Oh really! That's so nice!
I heard 30 minutes of daily meditation can greatly improve your odds at kivi, sakset, paperi.
I never heard of this game when I was young. I first saw somebody playing it on a television show when I was in college. I didn't know what they were doing. My companions asked me incredulously, "Didn't you play this as a kid?" Well no, I didn't.
We don't seem to play this in Ireland, don't know why...?
Oh, that's so interesting :o
When I was in school I always lost at rock paper scisssors but maybe I can be more successful at Kivi Sakset Paperi. hyvää viikonloppua.
The full game is Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock. :-)
Wait so Kiviranta, as in Joel Kiviranta, has to do with rocks? Like is he Joel Rockbeach, or something like that? Also it seems that he is from Vantaa, don't you have some connection to that place? I remember you mentioning something like that in another video.
Btw in Swedish it is rock scissor paper: sten sax påse, literally rock scissor bag (as in plastic or paper or tote bag).
Yeah Kiviranta would translate to rockbeach :D And yeah, I think what I said was that Vantaa has been the place I've lived in Finland for the longest amount of time xD I had no idea in Swedish they used bag! :o
Sakset kivi paperi - Schere Stein Papier - in German. Or schnick schnack schnuck.
Kivi-paperi-sakset= Taş-kağıt-makas (In Turkish:))
The word "sakset" comes from the knives Saxons (saksit) used.
Wow, in Italian we say "sasso, forbice, carta", which means "rock, scissors, paper". So... We're like Finnish people. :)
Io ho sempre detto "carta, forbice e sasso" e abito in Veneto 🤔
I heard about kivi skaset paperi many many times from my kids, today, now, two years after I came to Finland, finally I knew how to spell them. Haha
Niin hauskaa, kiitos
Awesome! I'll play it with my finnish friend 😉🤣
in the netherlands we say "Steen, papier, schaar" XD
In Spanish we say "piedra, papel o tijeras" (stone, paper or scissors), but in my country Uruguay, most of the times we don't even pronounce the last "s" of "tijeras".. (we're used to eat the "s" at the end of words) Thank you for your video Kat :)
Kiitos for watching and explaining how the game works in Spanish :)
Teacher, is my sentença correct?
Silta Metafysiikkaan
Onko universumi ikuinen vai universumi syntyi tyhjästä?
(A Bridge to Metaphysics)
(Is the universe eternal or did the universe come from nothing?)
I would probably say:
Silta Metafysiikkaan
Onko universumi ikuinen vai syntyikö se tyhjästä.
Etelä-Koreassa sakset kivi paperi :D
가위바위보! haha
Finnish is cool!
Hello algorithm!
In the game 'Leikki pankki', why do the players say "viimeinen pari uunista ulos" before "Jäit kiinni!"?
i
Hmm, I'm not familiar with this game so not sure actually D:
Your r sounds funny Hope I will pronounce that but my friend often do cheating with me. When I choose rock (kivi) they will choose rope. And I lose. Even rope does not count
Haha rope xD
Kivi Sakset Paperi = (pedra tesoura papel) in portuguese
Se in Kivi-PAPERI-Sakset.
Ооо!!! Теперь я понимаю, У КОГО "русские" стырили игру "камень-ножницы-бумага"!!! ;) 😆😆😆😂🤣🤪🤪 Kiitos paljon! 👍👍👍
😂
Bit of an offtopic: you look really similar to Polish actress Zofia Wichlacz 😉
Oh wow, thank you so much!
