This scene and the scenes that followed really freaked me out! I honestly didn't realise at first that it wasn't the real doctor talking to her, thought they were just having an emotional moment, then he developed arms that were too long! 😂😂 Incredible music! 😊
I got freaked out that Donna was talking and this copy wasn’t doing anything but just listening, I knew something wasn’t right but I wasn’t expecting the hands…
The beginning sounds so sad and lonely. Almost if trying to recapture a lost period of time from your past, like you reminiscing about your childhood and your friends from that time.
It's really amazing to have Murray Gold back... After the past few years aside from 13's theme I don't think any other song has stood out to me in the same way Murray's did and is right now. I don't know if that's just me.
First off. This episode was just amazing. Hearing segments of this is gallifrey gave me such a nostalgia boost. THANKYOU MURRAY GOLD. dreading next Saturday when we loose tennant AGAIN but exited yo see ncuti as the doctor!!
@@TowKneeCheeI believe it’s when The Doctor is talking to the Fake Donna and she mentions how as the DoctorDonna she was able to see into the Doctors mind and all the time that has passed for him since he last saw her (11, 12 and 13) and she mentions the Flux
@@OswinPondalso the end of the Last Christmas track is a reprise of a Dazzling End, which considering it plays when Wilf shows up and Bernard Cribbins' passing....damn Murray.... you're killing me
The reprisals were beautiful but that haunting piano piece that plays when the Not-Doctor walked into the room...I'll never not get chills hearing that from now on.
This episode made me so sad. They destroyed the Doctor's connection to his childhood home of Gallifrey, and now he just doesn't really care about it as much any more. I miss when the Doctor was just a kid who wasn't particularly special from Gallifrey, it made him so much more relatable and humble. Now that he's this magical being from who knows where, I just don't care so much about Doctor Who anymore. I'll probably keep watching, but I'm currently only at 20% of the interest I used to have at this series.
I agree. For me The Timeless Child story line coupled with the re-destruction of Gallifrey is unsalvageable, and it ruins The Day of the Doctor which was such a positive and fantastic event.
@@lbricks7631 agreed I would rather get resolved than left in the dust, although I don't blame Chibnall for that but rather the backlash made him drop it.
@@Bohonda I don't think the Timeless Child arc makes The Doctor special because of some Chosen One nonsense but rather makes it clear that despite the numerous memory wipes they naturally gravitate to doing good. That natural instinct to do good is what I think that part was trying to emphasize.
I’ve been enjoying these specials for the most part. However, I won’t be able to enjoy it as much as I used to because the changes chibnall made to the canon will always be in the back of my mind :(
Every old track is so subtle and muffled like it's buried underneath, and on purpose. You can hear This is Gallifrey but just barely, no doubt this is the direction RTD is taking, a big mistake I think. I am always looking to hear more but music for the specials has been somewhat of a disappointment. And it is a shame because music defines Dr Who in a big way. I was so hyped to have Murray Gold back, but they got him back and all they have him doing is generic tracks that you'll forget in a matter of minutes instead of variations of old tracks.
I wish “This Is Gallifrey” was slightly longer as it ended just as I was enjoying it so much! 😂
Same
Another this is Gallifrey reprisal to join series 10s amazing uses of the theme

This episode was great and god that speach about the tardis "sometimes i wonder where it goes" made me tear up beautifully done

not sure about anyone else but i really like CyberMasters as well
@@Madman-lr4pi I love that one as well, but then I also love Murray's Cybermen theme so he still takes the win
The Spy Master theme during when the cyber-conversion planet is first shown in ‘Power of the Doctor’ I really loved
Hearing Donna’s theme just takes me back to 2008 for a few seconds. Chilling
The music was superb in this episode!
I wish I could listen to that first minute on loop, the piano combined with the spaceship ambience is beyond beautiful
1:28 the instant I heard Donna’s theme i was shouting at my TV
Iv been liking the mini themes in these specials one for the doctors theme then i am the doctor then this is gallifrey in this episode, cool to see

I really love this music. And this episode. And this show. I just love it all. Thank you for uploading the music!
This was such a good moment as soon as you realise what is actually happening! Overall I have to say this was one of my favourite ever episodes!
i wish the music was just a touch louder tho in the eps.
Me too. I love a bombastic Gold
I wish all these reprises of classic music returning were all longer

This episode caused me a ridiculous amount of anxiety lol. Probably one of the creepiest DW stories I've ever watched.
This gives so much flashbacks
I immediately knew it wasn’t them thanks to the many horror movies I have seen
When I heard Donna’s theme I was instantly transported back to 2008-09
2:56 for the This is Gallifrey segment
