I agree with the point you were making about D1 gjallarhorn drops. But to get that magic back, EVERYTHING should be random again. Sure, have some deterministic stuff. But it should be the minority. Along with that, crafting needs to go. It devalued the majority of loot. Again, it can be a small part of the game, but most god rolls now are craftable and its contributed to the power creep since its introduction As far as the artifact level, an easy way to alter the system would be to tie triumphs to it. Itd give triumphs some value other than an arbitrary number, work as an engagement tool, and elimates the bounty aspect. Or they can keep general xp a part of it but itd be additive to triumphs. PvP is a must. I feel most people who play now dont understand how much of a hard carry for the game PvP used to be in the franchises history. Everyone always talks about Destinys gunplay. There truly isnt anything else on the market like it. Theres a lot of wasted potential there. And i have a feeling Marathon isnt going to be Bungies answer to that the way they probably hope it will be
To expand on Paul's thoughts about world drop armor, maybe there should be a ghost mod where we can choose between world weapon or armor drops. As he said, the armor drops are useless for vet players, but a beginning player might still need the armor drops. They'll never do it, but just a thought.
I am game dev and the 2nd suggestion made me the big mad. What do you think a weapon stored in the vault is? It's literally just the ID of the gun, its perk IDs, its shader, its mods and its kills What is an "Imprint" compared to that? In data storage terms it's nearly as big as storing the weapon Just because you see a PNG doesn't mean it's taking up more storage, there isn't a little gun on a shelf at Bungie HQ it's NUMBERS If you're suggesting that when you find the "god roll" you can store and re-acquire it from collection... that's still all 4 perk columns and the masterwork There is no "archiving" that. You can't store stuff locally in a game like this, it all has to be server-based for security. You're only removing shader, kill tracker and mod slot. For every weapon in the game right now that's a total of 1,109 weapons. Even without mods and kills that's still hugely bigger than the vault If you can store your "god roll preference" somewhere outside of your vault... *You're* *still* *storing* *it* *all* *on* *a* *server* *and* *that* *costs* *money* The only reason Bungie increase vault space is for brownie points, like they're doing for Final Shape [All the other suggestions, totally on point though]
Not a game dev here, what is the difference between what they are suggesting and what Bungie has already done with collections? They are already saving all that for each weapon? Or is it a different system?
Instead of saving each gun found, could we save the perks found on the guns or armor? That way I can delete all of my, uh lets say … Austringers and if I ever want to use it I just craft one using any combo of the perks I have already found? This way I am only storing a database of perks for each named weapon instead of the entire content about my particular weapons. Could a system like that be utilized for chasing a desired perk instead of the weapon alleviate some data storage and vault storage issues?
@@spookyboots3073 i dont know about the technical side behind it, but they may be able to allow changing the crafted perks for free without mats once you bought it. But evey weapon shouldnt be craftable in the game so that solution only really works for crafted stuff.
Nice explanation. They should just let us pull gear from collections. 100 shards and 10.000 glimmer. If people want to burn through resources, so be it, they had to play to earn these resources anyhow. Let’s a create another chance to get more from our time and resources.
I like that fireteam chat is back, but man its quite obvious when someone doesn't really play the game too much if they are still complaining about doing bounties to do a gm. Yes the artifact mods help but you do not need them to get a clear in a GM. They made it so that basically anyone can hop in, especially if you just pick up the gift of the thundergods which instantly gets everyone to the max pinnacle cap, for free. The only people that hoard bounties are those that are getting ready for day 1 raids. To extend even further, the complaint of "they are making me use guns I don't want to use" they don't make you use anything aside from chanpion mods, which if you are knowledgeable, a lot of ability verbs deal with champions. I don't think a lot of people realize that champions enforce the incentive to go out and get different types of guns so that you can have flexibility in your loadouts and its adds variety into the meta. If I could just deal with barrier champions with 1 type of weapon I wouldn't have any need to go out and get sidearms for the seasonal artifact. I probably would have never used forerunner, indebted kindness, or buried bloodline in a GM and my loot chase in the game would be dramatically shorter. Sure, you may not like or prefer sidearms, so use volatile rounds, radiant, unraveling rounds, arbalest, wishender, erianas vow, the titan shield throw gauntlets, etc. The game doesn't make you use anything specific, its by your own doing and inability to want to learn/get better at the game that you are being locked into something you don't want to use.
@@wilhelm2112ryan when champions came out there was far less options to deal with them outside the artifact mods. And honestly, the only annoying champ mod we have ever had is barrier sidearm, which luckily we have special ammo sidearms now adays so its not that bad.
@@wilhelm2112ryanyou’re plain dumb if you can’t deal with champions. Especially now with how many ways yo counter them. The game is easy enough but you still having trouble with champions. Git gud kid
The problem with imprinting/saving weapons to the collection is the amount of data per user that Bungie has to store. It’s one thing have a list of all available weapons vs keeping a list of an imprinted roll for each weapon for each user. Let’s say that this data is compressed down to 1MB per user. If there are 5million users is a total of 5 terabytes worth of data. Since Bungie backs up your inventory/players data, this is a massive expensive thing to provide as a whole. I’m sure that our users profile within Destiny is more than 1MB. I do like the idea. If that data was only stored in our console/system it would of be a problem. There is a cost to store, transfer and back up users profiles.
Also ive been saying it for years, nightfalls, raids and every activity in the game should give you MORE xp than what bounties do. I want to level my artifact power by grinding raids with my clan. A get 20 kills with void bounty shouldn’t give more xp than completing one raid encounter
Destin, this might be a wild concept, but I never do bounties and never have trouble making power for grandmasters, master raids, etc. I just... play the game. Crazy I know!
I think his point is that the most effective method ( meaning fastest) is bounty stacking. And that shouldn't be. I wish they just made a power cap ( like actual gear ) for the whole year and you just level up with that and keep up with seasons that way and just ditch the artifact power. Artifact itself is fine cuz the perks are cool but Ive never liked fake power like the artifact power
Since they’ve reduced the power cap for GMs it’s a lot better. Still shouldn’t be a thing though. Why do I have to go through the same boring entry level content every season just so I have the privilege to play the end game content which I’ve already done in countless seasons? It’s a stupid system, same with unlocking artifact mods with XP
Just a few thing I would like to share. Marking/Pinging system. I want to point something out to my fireteam without needing to shoot in a direction. In the heat of battle you don't always have the time to look for someone, find out what they're looking at and then figure out what they want you to do with it. This is mostly for when I play with randos and don't have clear communication like discord or in-game chat. More Inventory space. (Not bounties or vault, your resource inventory) With how many resources Bungie has made over the years, my inventory has been getting more and more cluttered. On top of that I would like to keep mementos of the past as to remember how far I've come, but some items can't be put into my vault and thus are just wasted space. How we don't have greatly a increased inventory space with a multiple page interface is beyond me. Also increase the amount of engrams we can carry up to 20, please. Shader Searching. I know we have Shader Favoriting, but when I want to search for a shader and haven't Favorited it and I know its name, I should be able to search for it and then Favorite it. (Besides, having 13 pages of shaders makes searching for 1 very tedious and annoying.) Weapons do feel stale to me, as I feel there could be so much more that they could do to make weapons more enticing. Foundry specific weapon perks as an example. Omolon getting stability and weapon performance perks, Veist getting magazine related perks. Maybe even go beyond the 3rd and 4th coloum and add magazine perks like Incendiary Shells (apply a small amount of scorch to unscorched targets at the cost of stability and reload speed), or perks that makes weapons more intriguing like Splitting Arrows (Arrows that hit enemies split and hit 2 additional enemies in a 5m radius for reduced damage and at the cost of accuracy). I want weapons to be more than just a gun that does something different than another gun. I want guns to have more identity, the feel of a weapon and an origin trait doesn't make it unique. Armour is basically useless outside of stats, I have been using armour I obtained in Season of Arrivals (Pre-Beyond Light) that still competes with armour today, that was more than 3 years ago. Armour set bonuses would incentivize me to get new sets if they would have an effect other than gaining increased experience or reputation. Armour perks (Not mods), would make them even more enticing. Perks that would increase your ability duration, increase the effectiveness of specific parts of your weapon, maybe even add effects to your abilities, not anything Exotic level, but something that just does... something. Armour mods in general need help. You could even add a way to use resources to increase a weapon or amour's stats by a small amount. Also allow you to reroll a weapon, once. Improve Gear Masterworking. Make it so that increasing the capacity of gear incrementally increase its stats like how you masterwork a weapon. Exotic Attunement. I want to sacrifice an exotic piece to gain more chances of getting that specific exotic from exotic related drops at the chance of getting greater gear rolls of said exotic. Emote Wheel, Let me choose more emotes, not just 4. A card minigame (or any minigame for that matter) to play with friends in social spaces. We had soccer, but that was very janky and was removed a long time ago.
i was saying this in a reddit post. i was saying that they should take some artifact perks and put them on armor. The Dragon's bite perk is a prime example of this. basically saying breaking a mobs shield has a chance to suspend or freeze depending on the weapon you use. the only reason i dont personally wear it, is because its going away next season so getting the armor is useless to me once next season starts. i think set bonuses would be what destiny needs to make the armor grind worth it in my opinion. what puts more salt in the wound is RON has something like set bonus on their armor in the extra mods slot. why doesnt anyone run it? ITs ONLY for RON Which baffles the heck out of me i think a clan space should be a thing. Put something like the tribute hall and a vault and post master there. they have one in the enclave and near nimbus on neomuna. I think a social space for clans would be nice. if you run a raid and your clan wins world's first, a virtual trophy display case would actually be nice. i think for weapons, they need to have more weapon specific perks as you was saying. bows should have a arrow perks. hitting a target multiple time with perscison damage jolts, scorches, freeze or something along that line so it gives weapons their own identity and feel aside from just the archetype. A personal one for me is PLEASE give me a kinectic or energy slot sword like a glaive. i like the glaive but hate the first person view. if i wanna run a full melee build then please let me. I remeber when destiny was talking about having 3 shot guns on at once. well let me do that. i want to be able to run a bow in my kinetic slot, a sword in my energy and levis, or lament in my heavy.
The dpad. Instead of using all four directions for individual emotes, make "down" open an emote wheel, and up can do a map ping on your crosshair position. Hell while we're at it, you can slap your vehicle on left or right direction and use the other on weapon special commands
The imprinting guns into the vault idea sounds good on paper, but i have a feeling this would crash the game every time people would load into a public space lol.
Vault space is a real issue I like the imprint idea. If you get a roll you imprint it to your collections and if you ever want it you can pull from collections
@@Xemphas how about they give us vault space of "lim(n → ∞)"... boom.. more fixed.. bro.. delete a little, it will always be full no matter how many more they give us, if you still dont understand that.. I dont know what to tell you.. 🤣
Destin -- it's no wonder that you aren't having fun with it, and saying, "you mean I have to level up the artifact by stockpiling bounties" etc etc -- NO! Stockpiling bounties is a way to CHEAT, and you're not having fun doing it! IMAGINE THAT. You're not actually playing the game gradually, AS the game is released. If you PLAY the game with the long-game in mind, then you will gradually unlock different things to experiment with. If you just dump everything into a cheat and unlock everything all at once, OF COURSE you will not have fun with it, because everything is just handed to you up front. It's NO BLAMMING WONDER you don't feel like you're having fun, because you are not even playing it, you are cheating the system in some kind of "get ahead" idea that is in your brain, when, if you tried playing to not get ahead, played it as it rolled out gradually, etc, maybe you would? Is the excitement of the game just being handed everything you want, and then complaining about it? They WAY you are playing it is, itself, UNFUN. Click your heels together, Dorothy, IT'S YOU!
I would agree with you except if you want to do contest mode raids. I don’t want to stockpile shitty bounties just so I can redeem them all next season to get the artifact mods. You wouldn’t even unlock the second column of artifact perks for the day 1 raid if you played the game without bounties. Bounties suck completely and shouldn’t be in the game
What if Bungie made it so that Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard weapons get a shader that is similar to the shiny Onslaught weapons whenever you play in those Playlists. Make it a chance drop. It will motiviate people to keep playing those playlists.
If you're a fan of convoluted systems, then you're gonna love the new rahool / exotic engram rework. Can't wait to hear your opinions on that in the next fireteam chat
I find that whole thing really, really comical. It’s like the most Destiny thing ever. I don’t engage with Rahool’s current focusing at all, so now they’re just going to require Rahool, like I missed it or something. I didn’t miss it, it doesn’t work for me. The next thing looks uninteresting, too.
Great show guys! I love that FTC is back! Destin, just an FYI.....the timestamps sections of the video are incorrect. They appear to be from a previous episode lol. Otherwise great work! I agree fully on the vault/collections issue. It has been my number one gripe with Destiny for years now! Im always stuck at 600/600 :(
Destin, Imprints of a weapon roll would take the same amount of space in a database as just giving us more vault space. In both cases, you have a unique roll mapped to a player ID. Perhaps it could be reduced by Bungie generating millions of possible rolls and storing those in their own table, then the mapping is only from player to global/shared roll.
Hand cannon sniper was by far the worst meta in destiny and they allowed it to last WAY too long. Powers have ALWAYS been a dominating force in destiny.
A 3 v 3 v 3 crucible mode called Triad, with control capture points, however it cycles through which team is the 'prime' team, where that team's kills are worth double points, and killing that team is worth double points. Capturing their zone while they are the prime team is worth triple points.
On the point of imprinting. The Division 2 touched on it with Armour and guns. It's been awhile since I played Division 2 but I liked that concept. And as for crafting I would like them to build onto crafting further, I think we should be able to add extra perks on guns which we can switch like other guns that have extra perks in columns
New ENEMY TYPES for every season (either races) 1 or 2. Enemy type can also include using different weapons. We have so many but they keep using the same? They should have different weapons with different modifiers too.
Heres some stuff id like to see. It would be cool to be able to watch raiders raiding while in the open world (only see what they're doing, not get involved themselves). Vault organising - They had it in sections on D1 and on the app, just make the vault the same. Stuff needs to be sectioned. Strike specific loot - now that gear drops with random stats, it will make the chase for them worth it. Bringing some life to strikes. It would be cool to have our own ship mini base to show off our achievements. They've kinda played with this on Europa and the Helm. Have it so you can farm themed gear via Dares. You choose the Forsaken node, have Forsaken world drops drop from Dares (as an example). New factions. All they have to do is evolve what they had in D1. Have faction events with exclusive faction themed items (even if cosmetic). Bring back Sparrow Racing. Even if it's bi yearly, just mix it around as a Guardian Games. Make fashion more interesting. Add moree ways to kit out our Guardian's drip. Update the open world with what's happening in game. They kinda did this in D1. That's what I can think of for now. Glad to see you guys back for another show!
The vault should just go away and be replaced with the 'collections' screen. Once in there, you could toggle/filter by what you do own / don't own / or all. And when you own many rolls of one item, you simply click the item and it opens up to a screen where you can choose the different rolls/instances of that item you have collected. From a programming standpoint - or moreover, a database aspect, I can't see it being any more overhead than what there is now anyway. I agree - once you collect a thing - it's ticked off and yours forever, and you can retrieve it from the collections screen at any point, with any roll you have.
Even though I don’t play Destiny much anymore. I still love watching this show. Keep em coming! This feels like watching Saturday morning cartoons back in the day. ❤
The 1st column of the artifact frustrates me. Why do I have to waste 5 points just so I can unlock the means to stun champions? I never get to use all of the artifact unlocks. Also, I should have the ability to remove an artifact point from one unlock and move it to another without having to wipe the unlocks just to change one unlock.
imprinting to collections is a good idea, we also need to get multiple rows of perks on all crafted weapons. that way weapons take up less space in the vault. ahamkara spins need the nerf reversed. in activities like nightfalls we need to know what elements the enemy are going to be hitting players with, so we know what resist mods to equip, rn it tells you the threats but they arn't nessessarily real. hunter exotics need to help hunters spam out abilities just like the other classes, there are a few good ones but we could have more good hunter exotics.
They’ve mentioned they’re looking into multiple perks on craftable weapons but there’s something preventing it. It’s a low priority issue but they are working on it in some way
Imprinting to collections is literally the same thing as a vault and still takes up space on their servers, I don't really think they kniw what they are talking about.
I am all for a transmog change but TBH I am in the opposite boat than Paul, I find I will just go pick up a crucible bounty and it will just kind of complete over time. Or grab a gambit specifically if getting my seasonal gambit in, Like I honestly find I finish all 10 quests without realizing I did that many already and just un-capping the amount you can complete would be enough for me.
This "I need to grind bounties to play GMs" narrative really needs to stop. I haven't bounty farmed a single time and I've always been at power for GMs when they come around.
Always though crafting should work through random rolls. Like to craft a perfect weapon i should find those options (barrel, sight, perks etc) in a random drop which would unlock those as an option in the craft system. That way i could find great perk choices between say 10 drops and slap them all together to make a god roll.
I agree with Destin. Merge the vault and the collections. We just need 1 space where we can store the weapons rolls and the when we need it we can get it.
A huge one that my main group of Destiny friends really would love to see is, bringing back the sunset raids. For many of us raiders, some of those vaulted raids are the best they've made or at least play a substantial role in the raid setting. For example, Leviathan is the best introduction raid for beginners, and scourge was just cool af. At this point, with all weapons being unsunset I dont see a point in keeping those raids in the vault. Destiny is already a huge game, so I get that concern. But I'd rather have those raids than an unused 20gigs
I wish that in the next destiny upgrade we can hold guns more uniquely, especially exotics. like the new call of duties have attention to detail as to how different weapons get held. But also, that in order to use a perk on a gun when you make it maybe you have to unlock the perks by earning the guns with those perks. I think it will engage the grinding of guns while you are trying to earn or make a god roll
They have literally focused more on PVP in the past 2 to 3 months then they have in the past 2 to 3 years. I believe the focus is there when I personally think is missing from PVP is innovation. Trials of Osiris was innovative. We need more things like that.
I want to be able to reset rank in vendors without having to get all rewards because its annoying when stuff like prisms are at max in the inventory and it won't let you reset because you gotta grab everything.
If we can craft a weapon and have access to all the perks then let us reshape any weapon for free anytime. We should be allowed to go into our menu and change the perks while it's in your inventory. I would love to have multiple versions of the same gun frame but vault space and materials cost prevents that. We can select out of all perks available on our armor at anytime why not weapons aswell. ? That's my thoughts on vault fix and weapon crafting. Cheers
Nice to see u guys back, it was a truly pleasant surprise. I didn't have too much of a vault space issue until the last year or so and bow I get it :). And I also hate the dungeon keys
I agree with the farming problem. I have 14 real clears in Warlord's Ruin and 24 1st boss clears trying to farm the sidearm indebted kindness. All my friends have various rolls of the weapon. I have zero. Not once has the gun dropped. I'll take any roll. A legendary gun shouldn't take 30+ chances and not drop once. I have this problem a lot too where I wonder if the game is coded for certain things to drop for certain ppl. Bc mathematically it's improbable that it hasn't dropped yet
@@Cloudz2021 because of spawns bud. They already have issues with spawn points in 6/6. That issue would be magnified massively. You spawn on your team in the middle of a gun fight and you’re dead immediately. First or second time no big deal by 10th time in a match you’d be pissed.
Add more traversal options in D2. I love vehicles in video games, in D1, I enjoyed the pike, heavy pike, interceptor, tank, sparrow, turrets, both in PvP and PvE, and now we have Skimmers which is great. Bring back Combined Arms and bring back heavy pikes and turrets in D2 Bungie.
What if bounties were made to somewhat target farm specific weapons similar to the sunrise bounty from D1? Like if you're looking for heliocentric, pick up a sidearm bounty, etc.
Remember when in Destiny 1 the post activity screen would show you the random drop you got? That was exciting! I think it was iron banner I got my first gally. I totally agree world drops have lost the excitement.
I REALLY agree with Travis about the story. I've been a Destiny player since the beginning of D1 and I've never found the story compelling. I got into playing Baldur's Gate 3 for several months it blew my mind how deep and relatable they could make the characters even in a fantasy setting. I don't have much hope for a grand conclusion to the light and dark saga in terms of story. I kinda feel like Destiny will be the 'Lost' of video games.
I would be okay with the artifact grind if I could cycle through all my completed artifacts during the year instead of being forced to using whichever seasonal artifact is active
I need this game to show I'm making progress to something. Right now I need to drop rolls to be not so vile. Spent 2 different days, 10 hours and 6 hours each trying to get Heilocentric side arm from Lost Sectors. Not once did the roll I wanted drop. Not even a bad version of it. During weekly dungeons/raids, the loot should lean more towards giving red borders and master modes more for the adepts. Why does it take days to get 1 specific roll on timed content. Its even worse now cause got Lost sectors, Iron banner, Onslaught, panteon AND whatever the weekly is all at the same time and all with horrible drop rates.
i always say it’s like almost since the game launched Bungie have been putting out these proverbial fires at every turn. It sounds like a vicious cycle
It’s actually hilarious to me whenever I see them implement bitch basic quality of life stuff and it has taken them nearly a decade. I started playing FFXIV, an MMO, back in 2013. I started playing Destiny at vanilla D1 launch in 2014. It really blows my mind to think that the former game had an in-game LFG functionality implemented in its VERY FIRST MAJOR PATCH, just a few months from release…… Destiny, though? 9 years. Amazing.
I think you should have one armour set that is your beginner and you upgrade states based on you gameplay style all other seasonal/endgame armour is a ornament that changes your appearance exotic armour works the same way making it possible to 100 every stat if you play outside you comfort zone
The whole blast furnace grind for rolls was fun i enjoy random drops gun crafting is killing the fun of getting that god tier roll . We need more guns with great random rolls and less emphasis on gun crafting.
Don't make us do the same story for 3 different characters. Just make it one account. They probably think people wont play the campaign again so make them all strikes (so they become nightfall later). I feel they wasted so much time in campaign with all these levels but I never seen them again. I feel they're just wasting time... but imagine the campaign are just 8 strikes. Now we have 8 strikes in the new playlist wouldn't that be crazy or if they're not strikes (because they all have bosses) then the rest goes to VANGUARD playlist. When you have so much level, the game doesn't get as much repeative.
I'd also love to see them play on the PvEvP mode like Gambit. Give us another mode with PvP with PvE enemies in it that when shot, increase our multiplier for PvP kills.
Not going to lie! I'm indifferent about the collection of weapons. Having the ability to craft all of the weapons you have already acquired is collecting and also keeping a small grind to the process. Crafting has actually helped me clean my vault and I have maybe a thousand hours in this game. I can't agree with gentleman who are considered blue berries to players like myself. Crafting allows you to craft what you want specifically in your vault and know you can always craft others later without the hoarding.
Glad you guys are back on the regular… always good conversation but I disagree with just about every thing y’all brought up because all of the ideas sound like you are looking for ways to be less engaged with the game. Transmog - I get what I want with no effort whatsoever. Don’t care to have ornaments for EVERYTHING that I have to sift through all the time. Artifact/Bounties - You get so much more XP for playing the game than you do for bounties. Bounties are just there to bank time for new content drop IF YOU WANT TO. I think I’ve stocked bounties for a new season once and I have always been GM ready when they become available. Vault - how is what you describe any different than the current vault system? Collections is like a codex… and “saving a godroll pattern” is literally just putting a gun in the vault. But I can see having a curated list for EVERY weapon for EVERY player would be a memory storage problem. Armor/Farming - just needs more options for builds. And they are getting closer to a Division style targeted farming model which is good. Too much crafting is bad for the game, just like too much rng. MONETIZATION - Agree that it’s confusing in its organization and some of the price points, etc. BUT… devs have to get paid for their labor. (And dungeon keys were implemented to normalize the value of season.)
Regarding "vault imprints": Don't waste your feedback on presenting your own ideas. Even if your idea is good, 9/10 times there are technical, resource, and time limitations that prevent good quality of life ideas from happening. If the issue is vault space, just say vault space, but the feedback of "Find a way to do vault imprinting" @9:45 will be instantly ignored because its just a random idea from a podcast.
This is hard to watch honestly. Its very clear destin hasn't (or doesnt want to) play the game in a long time and so many of his complaints have/are already been worked on: champion mods got the addition of subclass verbs and you can often make gm loadouts without even using a artifact mods; there is practically no 'bounty' grind anymore since they've lowered the entry to gms so much and theyre adding fireteam power; to be raid race ready, all you just have to do the legend campaign and gain 5 levels; they have been adding a ton of gamemodes to crucible (yet most of them suck imo, but at least they're experimenting). All that said, the vault 100% needs a rework.
As a casual player for the past 10 Years, this game is the best it’s ever been and I love it. Hardcore players, ya’ll are too close to the game and see all the flaws but I y’all forget that y’all play this game because of how much fun it is.
I love this game. Been playing for a very long time of my life and I hope to see a D3. Having said that, there’s a lot of great points made here. Some I agree with more than others but all great points. I remember seeing something when Elden Ring had been out for maybe a couple months and they won game of the year or whatever I don’t remember the time frame however, the article or post I saw was that they won the award without a single micro transaction. Don’t get me wrong I completely understand that at the end of the day Bungie is a business and they have a bottom line they want to get to. But man their system is quite predatory especially on newer players. Still my favorite game though. Join up, Crota CP, KWTD, have gally or kick
I want a way we can gain a material that let's us change the masterwork of weapons. Have so many 4/5s because of dang reload speed masterwork. Or put a mod on ghost shell that guarantees weapons drop with a specific masterwork. Idk just sick of reload speed dropping all the time lol
Bungies old and current view for exotics is to be situational. They never wanted exotics to be the end all be all but more of a complementary piece to a build.
I’m with Destin! Let us imprint guns (at least three versions of each) so we can bring them back from collections, or give us 5,000+ spaces in the vault. Destiny 2 is a loot shooter for Christ’s sake!
The reason why I say weapon attunement should be 100% because they said attunement is a way to target farm it’s not I have a lot midnight coops and do not have the role I want and I per combination I want that bullshit i’ve only attuned for midnight. Coupe have not attuned for any other weapon yet I work a full-time job and a part-time job. I can only do one of these stupid 50 run on slots a day if I’m lucky attunement should be a guarantee. Because I’ve done 50 runs back to back turned in 30 trophies and gotten zero hand. How do you explain that and only getting up to 30 trophies per 50 level run is ridiculously low.
I've gotten back into warframe recently and have been enjoying it. Destiny could learn a lot from it's game play loop. No it's also not perfect but it's definitely more enjoyable for me than what Destiny is right now. I also don't think anyone can make a perfect game play loop for everyone because everyone has different tastes in what they like.
At 33:45 Paul is saying everyone runs the same armor mods. Can someone tell me what those are cuz I have no idea and feel like im using mods wrong. Help!
@@omensoffate ok. Whatever. You’re still a delusional bungie shill if you think this “horde” mode is horde and not tower SHIT ASS defense. Nobody asked for this. Bungie is tone deaf.
Not critical enough. Bungie deserves no sympathy. We ALL love what Destiny COULD have been. They let us down every step of the way. Imagine never living up to your potential, oh wait, you've probably wasted years playing D2. 😅
100 extra vault slots in the final shape, LOL. Now that people know Bungie will sunset & un-sunset, people are gonna hoard weapons a LOT more. I got my Vault down to 425 the day before Onslaught and it’s already back to 586. Maybe give us more weapons with multiple perks, instead of the 1 in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th column. The shiny Brave weapons are great in theory but they’re ending them when TFS launches.
What feedback do you have for Destiny 2 and Bungie?
I kinda want the original campaign and Leviathan back with higher difficulty and new unique rewards. And I agree with Paul about an armor rework
I agree with the point you were making about D1 gjallarhorn drops. But to get that magic back, EVERYTHING should be random again. Sure, have some deterministic stuff. But it should be the minority. Along with that, crafting needs to go. It devalued the majority of loot. Again, it can be a small part of the game, but most god rolls now are craftable and its contributed to the power creep since its introduction
As far as the artifact level, an easy way to alter the system would be to tie triumphs to it.
And i have a feeling Marathon isnt going to be Bungies answer to that the way they probably hope it will be
End the game. It’s recycle, reskin, repeat for long enough.
To expand on Paul's thoughts about world drop armor, maybe there should be a ghost mod where we can choose between world weapon or armor drops. As he said, the armor drops are useless for vet players, but a beginning player might still need the armor drops. They'll never do it, but just a thought.
Will they ever reach out to me for insight on content?? I've been putting suggestions out for YRS literally!!
Let's go more Fireteam Chat! Keep 'em coming
Glad you like the show.
I am game dev and the 2nd suggestion made me the big mad. What do you think a weapon stored in the vault is?
It's literally just the ID of the gun, its perk IDs, its shader, its mods and its kills
What is an "Imprint" compared to that? In data storage terms it's nearly as big as storing the weapon
Just because you see a PNG doesn't mean it's taking up more storage, there isn't a little gun on a shelf at Bungie HQ it's NUMBERS
If you're suggesting that when you find the "god roll" you can store and re-acquire it from collection... that's still all 4 perk columns and the masterwork
There is no "archiving" that. You can't store stuff locally in a game like this, it all has to be server-based for security.
You're only removing shader, kill tracker and mod slot. For every weapon in the game right now that's a total of 1,109 weapons. Even without mods and kills that's still hugely bigger than the vault
If you can store your "god roll preference" somewhere outside of your vault... *You're* *still* *storing* *it* *all* *on* *a* *server* *and* *that* *costs* *money*
The only reason Bungie increase vault space is for brownie points, like they're doing for Final Shape
[All the other suggestions, totally on point though]
I thought the same thing when I heard his collections suggestion, they literally just exaplined what the vault was 😅
Not a game dev here, what is the difference between what they are suggesting and what Bungie has already done with collections?
Wow we've come full circle. People defending champions now. Lol
There is no 5 million players
Honestly, i do disagree with some people on the show sometimes.
But its really nice to see you guys back weekly again. Keep it up guys 🎉
Also ive been saying it for years, nightfalls, raids and every activity in the game should give you MORE xp than what bounties do.
I want to level my artifact power by grinding raids with my clan. A get 20 kills with void bounty shouldn’t give more xp than completing one raid encounter
Now if they could only get "Guardians Out!" synched up... 😜
Destin, this might be a wild concept, but I never do bounties and never have trouble making power for grandmasters, master raids, etc. I just... play the game. Crazy I know!
Seems like his main complaint is that he doesn't want to play the game lol.
@@wilhelm2112ryanwhat do you do with bounty stacking? Oh right play the game. What a crazy way to level up
Since they’ve reduced the power cap for GMs it’s a lot better. Still shouldn’t be a thing though. Why do I have to go through the same boring entry level content every season just so I have the privilege to play the end game content which I’ve already done in countless seasons? It’s a stupid system, same with unlocking artifact mods with XP
Choose the weapon and roll of perks from collections as long as you have received that roll.
(Besides, having 13 pages of shaders makes searching for 1 very tedious and annoying.)
Weapons do feel stale to me, as I feel there could be so much more that they could do to make weapons more enticing.
ITs ONLY for RON Which baffles the heck out of me
i think a clan space should be a thing.
If The Division allows you to store stats in a library, I don't see why Destiny can't allow you to extract and save perks.
Vault space is a real issue I like the imprint idea. If you get a roll you imprint it to your collections and if you ever want it you can pull from collections
Just give us 5 thousand spots in the vault, boom fixed.
Brilliant!
@@Xemphas how about they give us vault space of "lim(n → ∞)"... boom.. more fixed.. bro.. delete a little, it will always be full no matter how many more they give us, if you still dont understand that.. I dont know what to tell you.. 🤣
Combined Arms.
Agreed
Ah so you like being spoon fed stuff like a child nice😂
Destiny Stan was triggered
Im always stuck at 600/600 :(
Never stored or grinded bounties one single time and had no issue getting into GMs
I want to be able to reroll 1 stat on a gun. Just like in a ARPG
Access to activate old battle passes I own but didn't finish. Plus they can be sold to new players
A 3 v 3 v 3 crucible mode called Triad, with control capture points, however it cycles through which team is the 'prime' team, where that team's kills are worth double points, and killing that team is worth double points. Capturing their zone while they are the prime team is worth triple points.
Bring back the mystery! Secrets, quests that reward the investment. Bigger open world plz
Would love to see the raid bosses like what was outside VoG in D1.
Not bigger open world more in detailed worlds
If they are just bigger then who cares imo
To be fair, that's not really their fault. That's more the dataminers revealing stuff
Tiny change I'd want is the ability to long press on the D-pad to select more emotes
E.P. Shottie grinds were the best
Omg I didn't realize you guys were back! So exciting! Missed this show so much.
Weapon attunement should be 100% guarantee drop every time you open a chest. The percentage drop should be shiny drop that down to like 5%.
imprinting to collections is a good idea, we also need to get multiple rows of perks on all crafted weapons. that way weapons take up less space in the vault. ahamkara spins need the nerf reversed. in activities like nightfalls we need to know what elements the enemy are going to be hitting players with, so we know what resist mods to equip, rn it tells you the threats but they arn't nessessarily real. hunter exotics need to help hunters spam out abilities just like the other classes, there are a few good ones but we could have more good hunter exotics.
Man I’m super happy you guys are back. We need your voice in the community
Nice long episode! Will check it out Sunday night. So glad this show is back!!!
Always though crafting should work through random rolls.
Like to craft a perfect weapon i should find those options (barrel, sight, perks etc) in a random drop which would unlock those as an option in the craft system.
That way i could find great perk choices between say 10 drops and slap them all together to make a god roll.
i think with armor, set bonuses should definitely be a thing. makes armor drops more valueable
You should be able to take guns that you've earned and upgrade a gun you have that allows you too unlock perks so you can interchange them.
So happy to have fireteam chat back! Ive enjoyed Paul's content for a long time so glad to see him here too.
Revamp Ghosts of the Deep. Bad luck protection...after 30 runs I should have a weapon.
15:10 If we have 12 players in 6v6, 4 teams of 3 would be pretty fun actually.
The maps aren’t big enough for that.
We need combined arms back
@@UniqueTechnique29 older bigger maps can be brought back
@UniqueTechnique29 It's the same number of people. Why does it work for 6v6 and not 4 groups of 3? How's it different?
@@Cloudz2021 because of spawns bud. They already have issues with spawn points in 6/6. That issue would be magnified massively. You spawn on your team in the middle of a gun fight and you’re dead immediately. First or second time no big deal by 10th time in a match you’d be pissed.
18:10 thats honestly a really good idea by paul would make farming spesfic avtivies feel alot better.
Awesome one Travis. Destiny biggest gap/problem is the story. It needs to be in game. Not in text, outside sources. Let it be in game.
Every week I see you guys put out a video it just feels good.
Will you do more episodes as the final shape lunches?
Keep bringing back Paul, we need more Paul.
We’ve been giving Bungie feedback for 10 years and Bungie still takes 1 step forward and 3 steps back every year. Welcome back Fireteam chat.
Desticles ATTACK!
The upcoming season is always going to be the best season of destiny we've ever had lol. We need serious competition in the FPS MMO genre.
100% agree. They only make positive changes when they're in dire straits. Period
i always say it’s like almost since the game launched Bungie have been putting out these proverbial fires at every turn.
Was really missing this! Im glad you are back ❤❤
Don't make us do the same story for 3 different characters.
My current point of frustration is using "power" as an endgame leveling chase. We should be focusing on the gear, not some arbitrary number.
More loadout slots !!!!!!!!!!! prismatic is going to need it badly I don't like using dim because you can only change in orbit
It’s crazy that we never got a big team battle in destiny
I cannot explain how good it feels seeing you guys again every week 😊 takes me back, tuning in every week ❤️
Hope it lasts
Regarding "vault imprints": Don't waste your feedback on presenting your own ideas. Even if your idea is good, 9/10 times there are technical, resource, and time limitations that prevent good quality of life ideas from happening. If the issue is vault space, just say vault space, but the feedback of "Find a way to do vault imprinting" @9:45 will be instantly ignored because its just a random idea from a podcast.
I wish they got rid of the tower in general in a sense lol. You should be able to access your vault and bounties from the menu.
1000 percent agree with Paul’s take on transmog plz bungie
As a casual player for the past 10
Years, this game is the best it’s ever been and I love it.
Hardcore players, ya’ll are too close to the game and see all the flaws but I y’all forget that y’all play this game because of how much fun it is.
introduce voting on maps, ban certain weapons in crucible, use proximity chat, fix the fire team typing chat. VAULT SPACE !!! Just for starters.
So glad to see the show back I’ve missed it so much
I love this game.
Never been a fan of crafting, it take way too long, I rather just be happy with more drops and surprise God roll or semi god roll. Same with transmog
Why have we not gotten artifice type mod slots on exotic armor? Like exotic are supposed to be exotic for a reason but most feel underwhelming.
Pretty sure they've said Artifact is getting a rework.
I wish something like Husky Raid could work in Destiny, but I think the abilities would kill it.
We missed you guys . We all think the way you guys do . Just want the game to succeed
Still no C J ? Common guys 😂
You do kno u can just play the game normally and get the bounties for whatever activity you like to level up right. You don't HAVE to grind bounties
That’s the whole point of the mode is for just gunplay. There’s other modes for powers. So there nothing wrong with this mode.
I would love for Destiny 3 to go full MMO with actual open and dynamic worlds rather than this matchmade activity focus..
At 33:45 Paul is saying everyone runs the same armor mods. Can someone tell me what those are cuz I have no idea and feel like im using mods wrong. Help!
Just check out some vids. And if you free style. Do stuff that works together. But the mods until FS are the fire ignition 1s.
Oh they’re listening??? We wanted HOARD and you gave us TOWER DEFENSE?!! Doesn’t sound like listening to me.
I think you mean horde 😂
@@omensoffate ok. Whatever. You’re still a delusional bungie shill if you think this “horde” mode is horde and not tower SHIT ASS defense. Nobody asked for this. Bungie is tone deaf.
Even though I think you guys are a bit too critical at times I love you all and the show. Hopefully there’s more to come!
Not critical enough. Bungie deserves no sympathy. We ALL love what Destiny COULD have been. They let us down every step of the way. Imagine never living up to your potential, oh wait, you've probably wasted years playing D2. 😅
@@GFlight.916Oh wow. So edgy. It was never going to meet your expectations.
