When please? I saw only Sherlock, John and Rosie at the end of season 4. Even in the very last scenes was nothing to see of her.
Sherlock played Irenes theme because she is a mirror to him and he found himself in her and he composed the music because it helped him to think about Irenes phone code as he said to John.

And yes she was mirror to him, and that's what excites him the most, one of the reasons he has feelings for her is because he finds her interesting unlike other people. Where in the world and in which universe of Sherlock Holmes adaptations was Adlock ever canon? Answer: In noone.
Not even in Conan Doyle's famous stories. Irene Adler appeared only in one story in the originals and only in one episode of BBC Sherlock. And not "gay" doesn't mean someone is straight as I said before. It's not the same.
May be Sherlock found Irene somehow interesting, but only on an intellectual level, he was neither physically or romantically attracted to her.
If you doesn't know it yet, girlfriends are not really Sherlocks area.
And Irene was just Moriartys tool to spy Sherlocks and Johns relationship out.
And she was a mirror, not more and not less. Noone should interpret more than necessary in this alleged "love story." It wasn't. A lesbian dominatrix and a man who is not really interested in women, that fits, really.

How many times should I say Sherlock didn't love Irene? It's obviously you who need to watch AsiB so often til you recognize the whole episode was in fact about Sherlock and John and not Sherlock and Irene.
Sherlock and John aren't stated as just platonic friends. At the end they live together in one flat with only two bedrooms and raise a child together who is also living there. They are a family in the best sense and not just good friends who solves crimes together and nothing else. Btw, even in love stories a love couple speak often that they also are best friends.
And everyone who have eyes in his head can see Sherlock and John are attracted to each other right from start.
Yes, why was Irene one of Sherlocks pressure points?
Not because she was his alleged female "love interest."
She was mirroring him, Irene was intellectual equal to him, she gave him the puzzle to decipher her phone code and she got orders from Moriarty who wants to burn the heart out of Sherlock. Irene is an expert what are people's special interests and preferences. That's why she was chosen.
Also in RdJ movies Adlock isn't canon.
The movies don't have much to do with Conan Doyle's original where Irene Adler appeared in only one story, but even here was the end Sherlock Holmes and John Watson.
John spoke just for the reason Sherlock should made a move with Irene because he was jealous for her should actually be known. He didn't liked it to see Sherlock and Irene together, and actually he didn't still liked this thought.
Please say Good bye to the thought Adlock will be sometime canon. Sherlock Holmes together with a woman was never canon, even in Conan Doyle's stories he wasn't really interested in women.

Yes and in a Q and A interview to the 10th anniversary of BBC Sherlock Moffat said Irene opened a boutique in Weston and whenever she get into prophylactic trouble, she calls Sherlock, he sorted her out and vanished. That's their whole relationship.
I take Moffats statement you mentioned here not really serious. Actually it's known he often lied in the past about the series. Even his wife Sue Vertue knows: "You are lying so often, Steven."

People like a sherlock and irene(who are sociopaths) want fun and adventure in there lives and they both find each other very interesting. Therefore it's obvious they would fall for each other. And the reason why irene wasn't present any other episodes except for her mentions in 'The last vow(she is his pressure point)', 'the signs of three(she is naked in his mind palace)','the abominable bride '(he litreally has her photo in his pocket watch) 'the lying detective '(she the 1st one to wish him birthday') and 'the final problem' because Moffat and gatiss didn't want romance to be among this show's main genres(which I really appreciate ) cause this is a mystery thriller show. And we find that they secretly have feelings for each other(they will never admit it cause they describe love as a disadvantage ). I don't know how viewers like you can ignore them.

Obviously you've overheard the dialogue between John And Greg in ThoB about Sherlock:

If Sherlock would have been really a sociopath then he would have barely saved Irene's life after she wasn't useful for Moriarty anymore. Moriarty is that what I would call a sociopath.
Actually you should know Irene was just a memory too in the original story, here Holmes kept her photo in his desk drawer, and in Tab which mostly happened in Sherlocks head he kept her photo in his watch.
What was so special about Irene appeared naked in his mind palace? She was also naked when they met for the first time. The first impression of a person often stays forever.
And remember Sherlock was very annoyed about her presence there, but he wasn't it about Johns presence short time before who was the same way dressed when they first met, btw.
Sherlocks and Irenes relationship based only on mutual respect and admiration, he never replied to one of her text messages and he also didn't want have "dinner" with her. Sherlock was never hungry for Irene, but may be she was in a way hungry for him.
If you didn't know it yet, Moftiss stated Irene as a lesbian woman and Sherlock as someone who isn't really interested in women, also Conan Doyle described him that way.
When you remember Sherlock didn't replied to Irene's birthday wishes, instead he hugged John after his mental breakdown, that's what I call priorities.
A real plot hole is of course how could Irene should have known Sherlocks birthday and John not, the last may be Sherlock never told John when his birthday was.
May be Irene is the one who want to have fun in her life, but Sherlock is someone who will always help people who need his help with his extraordinary skills, for criminals he has only contempt left like for the cabbie in Asip or the man who killed his wife to the beginning of Tgg. He also had only contempt for Irene left after she admitted she worked for Moriarty, his worst enemy.
Remember who is Sherlocks main pressure point? Irene? No, she is just one of his pressure points like Redbeard and Baskerville.

And sherlock is alarmed by sex, he has dinner with john because he isn't going have to have sex with him after dinner, but irene's dinner means some sexual connection with it. As for Sherlock, he actually loves her, but doesn't quite understand the difference between love and affection. Sure, he knows the theory behind all of it, but to actually feel it, it is something quite disturbing. He understands all the mechanism behind "love", all the chemical reactions there is to it, but he doesnt understand the "why", and thus he is in constant search for this answer.
To sum up, Irene Adler craves the resistance of Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes craves the mystery that Irene Adler brought upon him.
In antoher universe, thet would have been perfect for each other, but neither of them is willing to let the other win. Or something like that. But that's just, you know, my opinion man.

And then she told him she had sex with a nurse, but didn't really cared about male or female. Sherlock deduced the nurse was female and Eurus is actually another Sherlock mirror.
It's actually known, Irene Adler was the most obvious mirror in the series, even Mark Gatiss said in an interview in this sense to meet Irene for the first time was like a look in a mirror for Sherlock.

The only realistic ship is Sherlock with John. Like in in the ACD stories or in the Granada Holmes series was
Irene Adler only in the episode "A scandal in Bohemia." Sherlock Holmes never met her again after her start in a new life.
And the original ACD canon is only Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson for over hundred years.
