I have 125 miles on my pair. Great shoe...It actually gets better the more miles I put on them. I have not run in Brooks for years, but the Hyperion Max 2 is worth the return to Brooks.
I’ve run in stability shoes all my life. The foot doctor just said that I do not have flat feet! This is the first shoe I just bought to try out my newfound freedom. It was recommended by the doctor.
Another excellent video, Emily! Your reviews always come across as very chilled, and at the same time, incredibly informative. I will admit. I’m not a massive fan of Brooks, however this shoe is great to look at. Your positive review of it is enough to make me consider copping a pair. By the way, you have the cutest dog! ❤ Keep on, keeping on 🔥
The OG Hyperion Tempo, despite having a bit too much room in the toe box, was an instant hit for me; light, flexible, responsive yet well cushioned, extraordinarily durable, and the ability to crossover to light trail work to boot. This looks different, yet similar. Me wants.
How's the cornering stability? I do most of my miles in the og cloudmonster 1 and the feature that keeps me coming back is how good it feels to speed through tight turns. I'm finally looking for a new pair of shoes and this is one of the biggest things for me, otherwise sounds like they are great!
Nice looking shoe! I have V1 and at first, I did not think it would perform. After getting warmed up, I noticed the mid-sole conformed to my foot in addition to being a very light shoe. Sleepy Beauty Ruby 💕🐕🐾💤
1:03 same. The plate is PEBAX via brooks rep at TRE. 100 miles on these and I actually love them. The upper is so damn dialed too. Only caveat for me is for 10+ mile runs, I do prefer to toss in a different insole (PWRRUN+ insole from K14s in my case). I put in the original pieces of paper (insoles) for track workouts 😅
I really like the Hyperion Max 2s. Brooks fit my feet really well and feel very comfortable. I use them as a daily trainer. I also have the Hyperion 2 GTS for faster sessions should I need them.
Nice video! I have a little over 30 miles on mine. I really like running in them. I’m just a little worried they won’t feel really comfortable for runs of more than a half marathon.
The midsole is not as soft or mushy as the NB. It’s a more nimble, responsive shoe though IMO still very comfortable and cushioned (in the protective sense) as Emily describes. They also have different roll geometry.
Just replaced a Boston 12 with a 2nd Boston 12 on sale….i like brooks glycerin 21 I use for the easy daily miles …. Would be happy to stay in brooks ! Glad they offer this model… might look for a sale though before trying it .
Every spill I've taken over the years has been on a sidewalk. I've never fallen or caught my toe on anything in the street. I try to avoid the sidewalk.
Hi Emily, thanks again for your very informative reviews. I had a question for you about the Central Park 5K run on the same weekend as the NYC Marathon. I’m relatively new to running and I have some health issues that prevent me from running anything above a 5K. Could you recommend places for us to stay for that race. Thanks, Brian
Great review it's a nice looking shoe my foot is not narrow I have tried brooks shies before but find even in size up etc it did not feel right I might look in to this one. And hi ruby
try the aurora Bl. it blew me away. t is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I know it looks strange but it is just indescriabale. Despite its looks it is not as cushioned as you might anticipate . it is verystable so please try it and compafe it to the hyperion max nad Cielo X1..
Brooks shoes were always a bit boring to me, but as soon as I saw Hyperion Max 2, I decided I needed to try them. I'm curious how they will fare against the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, which I loved running in.
@ for me Novablasts are a kinda different shoes. They are not plated, more soft and more suited for easy running. They feel pretty good on faster runs, but ES4 and HM2 are definitely better in this regard :)
I've been running in these for a weeks now, they tend to give underpronation to runners more than other running shoes, I could tell from your running footages, they're giving you that too, it doesn't look safe to your knees tbh
I’ve tested it and plan to buy it. I’m a neutral runner and in my opinion, it’s stable in a nice way without actually being a stability shoe. It just feels comfortable and supportive and didn’t make me underpronate. Is it possible the roll geometry just doesn’t suit your biomechanics?
@@Martha-fluterunner try to actually run in these tho, it makes me under pronate way more than other shoes, mainly due to the uneven softness on the foam from side to side, it's very apparent, you will notice it after your first run
I have never liked Brroks shoes. Ugly, the 12mm drop to harsh and always ended returningbto to shin splints. I guess my weight and mechanics dont go well with brooks...thatbis until Ghost Max and hyperion Max 2😮. Currently top 5 (4 and 5) after superblast, deviate nitron 2 and DN3.
Same! I was in Brooks until about 10yrs ago when foot surgery changed my mechanics. The Ghost Max brought me back (a nice stable neutral shoe). My uptempo shoe has been Saucony Endorphin Speed 3, but I’ve worn them out & can’t find them anywhere! Not a fan of v4 so have been looking for something for moderate to faster days but not all out speed. Looking forward to trying these.
Great video Emily! I know how you feel with the weather. It’s hot, humid and windy here. A recipe for ultimate sluggishness! 👍🏼
It’s been a rough humid summer!!
Just go to Marseille in France problem solved 😂
the warmer the weather the better brooks foams work!🙂

I feel the same!!
@@RunLikeHeller Now have 283 miles on the Hyperion Max 2. They are still going strong.
Yea this shoe is amazing it locks in a pace and goes. And it does get softer as you go. It has such a natural roll.
I’ve run in stability shoes all my life. The foot doctor just said that I do not have flat feet! This is the first shoe I just bought to try out my newfound freedom. It was recommended by the doctor.

I know the glycerin isn’t exciting but the v21 is such a good shoe
I love my Hyperion Max 2 !
I found the Hyperion Max 2 as a nice long run shoe when I want to pick up the tempo. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for your honest review of the shoe! I purchased the blue color way on-line and I’m excited to try it.

Can you compare these to the superblast 2?

Love my pair as well!
I like your t-shirt 😊 I am in the city for the week and loving running here!
Brooks used to be The Buick of running shoes, they have made some inroads. I hear the Hyperion Max 2 is very good. I’ll have to give it a try.

Your description makes the Hype Max 2 sound like it may be relatively comparable to the Hoka Mach X (or X2).

i agree it looks fire. will you review the Hyperion 2 sans Max?
I may! It’s on the list
Not a Brooks fan but the Hyperion Max was a great shoe and the new Hyperion is also a winner. At $140, it outperforms the Hyperion Max 2 to me...
Looks similar to the NB Sc Trainer V2. Does it feel similar?

I think this foam is similar to the skechers maxroad line... Is it?
Now I kinda want to try this. It sounds like fun.
Review the Brooks aurora Bl Please. It is the most comforable bestcushioned shoe I have ever run with. Try it and review it. Thanks,
I always find it amazing how you guys in the US don’t have sidewalks to run on. The traffic must drive you crazy.
We do have some sidewalks just not everywhere lol
Our sidewalk are over crowded by walkers , it’s just easier to run in roads
Guessing you can’t listen to music then?!
@@PabloPerez-nd7seyou can if you use Aftershok headphones. 1 safety tip is to always run against traffic
