- Here's the High-Grade 1/144 scale Zaku II [Red Comet Ver.] & Type C-6/R6. More Zakus from The Origin line of HG kits is never a bad thing, but if you've already got a couple then you may not find much new to enjoy with these. Still though, fantastic kits!

My God an mg zaku origin would be glorious.

Want one to go with my rx 78-2 but don't wanna get the 2.0 because its a little too animeish for me. I tend to go for more realistic looks but the rg is trash apparently
I say the only drawback of these origin kits are the mono-eyes. They don’t have a moulded eyes like the zaku ii’s from stardust memory kits. Instead the origin kits got a flat surface for the mono-eyes
bunkerpla actually has a video detailing how he modified the mono eyes on an hg zaku to make look a lot better. Link at the bottom if you're interested:

It's too bad they don't include a clear round pink piece since even the SDCS Zaku has that. Just have to keep some rhinestones from the craft store around for all your mono eyes.

But they're so hard to find nowadays
If you nickpick you could as well say that the seam lines on yhe lower legs, forearms and spiked shoulder are some other drawbacks. Im totally fine with those except the one in the legs, cuz you can clearly see they fixed that on the Zaku 1 mold
@@UselessFox224 I think the reason people are annoyed is because Bandai has done that monoeye detail already on older Zaku kits, but they didn't do it for the newer ones

These Origin Zaku's are great kits. I will probably get the different variants of them. I've built the C/C5 and Char's Zaku II. The first version.
Gonna be picking this up soon (Red Comet Ver.) and a RX-78-2 The Origin version. Gonna be fun, haven't built one of these in over a decade!
alright this seems like the definitive version to get. i've been waiting for that.
I’m sure sales for both these kits will come down the line. Since Char’s red comet version is the definitive version perhaps the old one will go out of print for an early retirement? The C6 may or may not have the same effect on the C5, guess we will have to see.

I love how many spare parts you get with the origin C-6 it’s probably my top HG, and for the price you can’t beat it. It might be on the smaller side but it packs a punch!
I just built the HG RX-78-2 and Dom Tropen Sand Ver. Never built a Zaku kit before, so I'm definitely getting the Type C6/R6 ^_^

This is my 1st zaku build and I just got the new mass production model. It is a little disappointing to not having a zaku machine gun but I think I like the belt fed machine gun a little more. My local store is going to be getting the zaku and gundam war sets from 8th ms team and I already reserved mine by paying up front and that kit comes with a zaku machine gun and I am happy with that. They are older kits for the suits themselves but I have this zaku and the newer ground gundam and the war set comes with the GM head for the gundam. I love 8th ms team and these are must haves for me beginning with this new hobby. I bought some cheap files and a good pair of nippers, with your advice in the beginner's video and I have been taking my time building and enjoying the process. I am taking about 10 hours or more to build each kit and I really don't want to go any faster and I noticed a difference in my anxiety. I don't have horrible anxiety but it's getting alot better and I seem to be happier. Healing with gunpla, lol.
I’ve always been curious do the markings that aren’t the eyes and lenses cut out?
I've only built the super vanilla Waff so those kits are not a bad thing: extra accessories to share with a bare bones kit. That works.

Definitely going for this Char's Zaku, I want one with the standard machine gun but with the extra detail of the Origin Kits
Excellent advise, I have not built one HG Origin, so it is a good point to just get one and do it.....
would be interesting to see HG The Origin kits be used as base for the Build series line, probably Gundam Build Divers season 2 that is now currently still in production.
You're kidding, right ? Divers season 2? No way Sunrise will continue on a failed series
@@thomastsuihn but Sunrise themselves confirmed the 2nd season during the 40th anniversary live-presentation, also the series may not be good but it is not a failure and is considered a successful series thanks to merchandise sales, in other words it does its job well as a toy commercial.

im trying to get a replacement for d1 runner for zaku ii c6/r6 could any point me in right direction what other cheap zaku kits i could use to use as a part donor to get another? as i hear its pain to get replacement runners/parts in us and canada. sorry to bother all
I could see getting 2 of the green zaku so you could have 2 of the arm guns parts on each arm
Is there a seam lines on the legs?
I will not complain about the number of zakus they release...gotta catch em all.
zakuAurelius do you know how to remove the seam lines for the legs and still be able to connect it to the thighs? This is something im been trying to figure out before i build this kit
I haven’t done it yet but I’m sure it’s going to require cutting around the knee joint. I’ll be doing it soon in a WIP video as I plan to paint these

i think he use clear spray,there are many type of clear spray like normal,matte,gloss(the i think one he use)

This is the only version of Zaku II in which the Char version doesn't look worse than the standard green one.

I wish they woulda brightened up the colors a bit to make them more in-line with the classic cartoon. Of course most Gunpla builders paint their kits to some extent, but others don't. Woulda probably sold more of these with a bit of a color change.
These colors are based on the OVA of the Origins. Plus, why would you stick to the awful salmon red of the original? Even for nostalgia sake, you can't deny the original Char Zaku II colors look retarded.
@@mechalinkergaming7169 We already had the OVA colors for Char before, but it's mostly this super dark forest green that bothers me, it's even too dark to match the OVA.
I personally love Char's salmon red color scheme.
Is it just the lighting or how are the kits so shiny? What was sprayed or used on them?
The plastic normally is a little glossy
So this would be a great kit to say, replicate the scene where Char's Zaku kicks the Gundam in the stomach

@@iwu-xm3xc water slide decals. I heard the MG had those as dry rub on and I can only imagine how nerve wracking applying those over all those curved surfaces would be! Or better yet, I hope they just include those as sculpted embossed or recessed details that will be easier to paint on.

They should make Garma's Zaku II FS in the Origin line. The ancient HG could absolutely use the update.

I don't understand why Bandai doesn't make MG versions of C-6/R6 Zakus. They have more accessories and look better.
So this is the 3rd time these suits were produced? What up with the weapon systems tho? The shields are still $60. I need them but nit $60.
from what i know/heard bandai has stopped the printing of these system weapons which would increase the price

I really like the articulation on these kits but the plastic is just so shiny! They look like they're made of candy.
Just give 'em a matte topcoat and you're good to go!
