Actually from what I remember the original char zaku only came with the bazooka anti ship rifle and a heat hawk
If you look closely the Char's accessories are those ones of the C/C-5 Zaku
Also the chests have a new design...the new one have the built in gattling gun on the upper chests the old one doesnt
@@azertube77 dude, even comes with the Char's shoulder mounted vulcans as spare parts, i think I'll just get this zaku just by that sheer part in green, that and the sticker decals

This kit is so meaningful for me. The only kit that my wife bought for me, in my birthday... So stunning..
Despite having fallen deeply in love with Master Grade kits, these origin kits are so nice I kind of want to get most of them. They're so much fun to build too!
Just a trivia on the marking stickers: on the original Origin Char's Zaku, there were many leftover ones not mentioned in the manual where to stick them, but inside this manual, many lines and the A12 one were mentioned. Meaning those who got the first one can refer to this manual where to apply those ones. The only new one I can see are the ones for the eye and lenses. Those used to be foil stickers.
I remember the old HG Char's Zaku's that were being sold a looooooong time ago which were just recolored 08th MS team F/J kits... Oh how far we've come
I absolutely LOVED building my first Zakus recently, so damn good! Thanks for your great content, I know I'm playing catch up but it soooo nice to find so much info here. I started panel lining on my third build and am now looking forward to grabbing some weathering pencils to get some real battle details going. Thanks again, channels like yours have really given me the confidence to make great models!
I already have like 3 zaku origin models, plus the reuse of the frame on the dom and gouf... im buying this one too, you never get tired of this mold, is so freaking good!
I love this zaku, own 2 of em. Planned to have 3 and reenact a Zaku platoon.
The only downside I experienced was the usage of ordinary machine gun for poses was very difficult. It was much easier for the bazooka and anti ship rifle.
Just ordered the Zaku II Red Comet Ver., so this review is really nice.

Finally this Char's Zaku II got 2 machineguns. The first release of Char's Zaku 2 Origin only has the Rifle and Bazooka, so it's a good time to buy the latter one since it's now "Really Packing Some Heat!"
I like to sand the stock sides of the vertical piece and on the bottom of the horizontal piece to make it a little bit more like the Gundam Thunderbolt zaku machine gun. It makes it able to shoulder the rifle tighter to the body. It looks amazing
So much Zaku love you are going to make them blush.

I adopted a Zaku.
I just got back into Gunpla and started with this Red Comet Char's Zaku II. My only gripe with the model is that on the top spike of the shoulder there is a gap because of they way they molded it so I may fill it with putty and paint it. Second at least on mine the mouth grate that holds the cable in place on the front of the face falls off, if I do end up painting it the extra thickness of the paint may fix that.

This will always be my favorite mobile suit when it comes to char love it so much.
I also like the redesigned they gave it Gundam origin.
Btw if you wanna use the toe joint jush push up the front section and that will shift the rear section down automatically.

got this gundam for a graduation gift,i gotta say its really good for a high grade zaku
If only I was a year more patient... I bought the original Char Zaku II last year and a loose runner with Zaku rifle, it cost me a bit more than it should. Damn.
This might have to be my second model. I just built the hg rx-78-2 origin model and really enjoyed it as my first gundam kit
I love that zaku so much I even customize that gunpla to based on a character from youtube
I'm mostly into gundams only but makes me want to build an army.
The red comet version is definitely worth putting the stickers on
I did not regret buying those MSD kits. Now that I have 7 of those zakus,I'm planning on making a diorama for all of them lol
Edit: You shpuld try the Zaku Half Cannon. It's my favorite variant of all the Zakus.
What kind of diorama? I've got three Zakus and I'm thinking of making a urban combat scene accompanied by the HG DOM test type I have.

I might be addicted cuz I have a battle set display we're on one side I have gundams like exia, wings and unicorn led by rx78 and on the other I have different zakus painted for ranks and in the mid I have char zaku fighting rx.

Love that this Zaku II S is *actually red* instead of that damn near pink like other versions. (Remembers the MG and glares at the memory)

The ball joint on my zaku was loose on the left hand. It wasn’t the ball but the actual area where you put the ball joint in

Honestly, it’s not a bad kind of mess up. The hoses look a lot more flatlined, and actually make the head look a little more distinct among other Zakus.

Kinda disappointed Bandai didn't mold a left trigger-hand, I mean the C-5 are begging to dual wield their MGs.
I got blue rms-106 hi zaku hg i finished and i had to use some supe glue because the parts would not lock in place

@Aiden Ly considering the 2.0 kit came out about 12 years ago i say it's about time to release a 3.0 with details like the RG (similar to the MG rx78-2 3.0). Or at least a Gundam The Origin version of the Char's Zaku and since the Rx78-2 had one, why not Char's Zaku?

HG Char zaku II is much better than in RG due the colors, the RG is like light pink/orange

HG, The hoses on the RGs are a nightmare. Imagine trying to loop individual hose bits onto a wire.
