@@randomcompdude 40k Orks, yes - they're comical, fightin' boyz with an amalgam of British accents. D&D Orcs, no, they're historically just Tolkien Uruk-Hai transplanted into other settings. Warcraft Orcs are of the "noble" variety, with their past savagery explained by corrupting magic. I actually love the Warcraft Orcs, but it was never a horrible retcon (though it looks like one when you compare the original Horde to the current), and it's appropriate to the setting. Changing D&D Orcs into a Woke version of Warcraft Orcs does jack squat to improve the various D&D settings, deprives DMs of a classic enemy archetype PCs can kill without remorse (seriously, Legolas+Gimli make murdering them a game!), and wasn't necessary because there were plenty of "noble" monsters in the monster manual to fill that niche. Bringing that crap to 40k is even WORSE considering the grim darkness of the setting and the existing fanbase who like their boyz exactly how they are. They'd alienate all the Ork players and not attract a single one. Eff all that.

I'm so done with basically every fantasy franchise I've ever loved. Disney turned Star Wars into The Disney Princess Wars, wizards of the coast turned Magic The Gathering into race swapping woke trash, DnD is woke, pretty much every video game developer has gone woke except a few and most of the non woke devs makes games I don't play, Netflix killed the Witcher show before it even got started, Warhammer is going the Netflix woke route and I honestly feel bad for Henry Cavill, I love that dude and he's now had back to back franchises taken and beat with the woke identity bs. I wish he had been given the Witcher franchise to do with how he liked because he was a perfect Geralt and that honestly still makes me insanely mad. Anthem was great. Just had no damn end game which made it terrible. Loved the game play of bein a cracked out iron man with dual daggers not gonna lie. Just a damn shame the gameplay loops were not plentiful and weapon balances were not done fast enough. Still miss the game tho i had fun😂

The 40k orcs are essentially soccer hooligans. They're fantastic, tons of personality, really fun. There's a good reason they remain incredibly popular. The tech apocalypse is coming just in time, I was getting a little too addicted to the virtual world and now it's easier than ever to return to reality and engage in actual normal hobbies like fencing or gardening or woodworking or writing. This will therefore remove any kind of in game currency, or the like, and then instead make way for the outright purchase of a cosmetic pack. I waited nearly 13 years to play the sequel to the original game (which was released September 2011 and which I played December 2011). Even within my Steam review which I wrote June 2012, I stated that I hoped for a sequel soon since the story for the original game ended with a cliffhanger. So regardless of the controversies with the franchise, I hope the sequel is as good and worthy of the original game. I played Space Marine 1 for 125 hours (mostly multiplayer exterminatus mode as the single player campaign was short) and I hope that I will have at least just as many hours of fun playing this game. I hope they add additional multiplayer modes too similar to exterminatus from the original game if it's not part of the original game already. To clarify, the original game did not have an in-game shop. You could buy DLC for additional game modes and skins outside of the game via the Steam store. Eventually, they released an anniversary edition after 10 years as a free upgrade to the players regardless of whether they had purchased any DLC.

Changing D&D Orcs into a Woke version of Warcraft Orcs does jack squat to improve the various D&D settings, deprives DMs of a classic enemy archetype PCs can kill without remorse (seriously, Legolas+Gimli make murdering them a game!), and wasn't necessary because there were plenty of "noble" monsters in the monster manual to fill that niche.
Bringing that crap to 40k is even WORSE considering the grim darkness of the setting and the existing fanbase who like their boyz exactly how they are. They'd alienate all the Ork players and not attract a single one.

This will therefore remove any kind of in game currency, or the like, and then instead make way for the outright purchase of a cosmetic pack. I waited nearly 13 years to play the sequel to the original game (which was released September 2011 and which I played December 2011). Even within my Steam review which I wrote June 2012, I stated that I hoped for a sequel soon since the story for the original game ended with a cliffhanger. So regardless of the controversies with the franchise, I hope the sequel is as good and worthy of the original game. I played Space Marine 1 for 125 hours (mostly multiplayer exterminatus mode as the single player campaign was short) and I hope that I will have at least just as many hours of fun playing this game. I hope they add additional multiplayer modes too similar to exterminatus from the original game if it's not part of the original game already. To clarify, the original game did not have an in-game shop. You could buy DLC for additional game modes and skins outside of the game via the Steam store. Eventually, they released an anniversary edition after 10 years as a free upgrade to the players regardless of whether they had purchased any DLC.
Also the dreaded Pride month is finally over. Back to normal.

I’m left leaning, like a lot, what I loved about warhammer is its embodiment of evil (rascism and xenophobia) and realistic expectations of war (jacked up men for the elite forces, women as high ranking officers in the militarum, women and men for the standard troop as either one can shoot a gun). This is going away as the jacked space marines are now female (I mind this as it was badly implemented, custodes are marinesx2, the models have now female heads), and the silliness of orks is being pushed towards a less stupid form in favour of REPRESENTATION. Like, it’s warhammer, there are demons, elves, Bri’ish orks dat Krump silly humies, jacked super human dudes, tech worshipers, brave men and women that survive 5h on the battle field, communist space cows (love the ref to animal farm), all of which are degenerates, rascists, and politically rotten.

The custodians are supposed to be the best of humanity it would be kinda wierd if the emperor only wanted men to be that. Do I think it was done badly, yeah but It is rare that GW makes good retcons.

Hearing these people talk, I can tell none of them are actually active in the hobby. I have always played with a wide range of people. Hell I have a game I'm GM of right now where all my players are female, one of them is LGBTQ, and we all get along just fine. It's all just about the game that we're building and playing together.
What we need is a badass new IP,, no price gouging,, no woke bs,, no cancel culture,, just old school grim dark and heavy metal af!! I would be looking for a promise from the creators that this is the mission. I would run to their new IP with arms open and metal blaring!!
