Hi Kaci Remember the Humlebi Shawl? While looking for the pattern I found the Humlebi Socks. I decided to knit the socks first as a practice run before tackling the shawl. I finished the first sock a few days ago and thought my bee wings were perhaps a little too long. I decided to make the stitch a bit tighter on the next sock. THEN you put up this podcast showing your bees. I realised bees have quite long wings. 😮My stitches were the perfect length. 😊 So thank you for sharing your bee keeping. Your podcast is such a pleasure to watch. You have a peaceful yet informative style. I look forward to each new release. Thank you for sharing your life & creativity, Heather from New Zealand 🇳🇿
I just need to say that the background music in your videos is always so amazing! I'm actually a pianist/piano teacher, so it always makes me so happy :)
Hi Kaci! Amazing video... a veritable feast for the eyes! I cannot believe the speed of time these days. ALMOST the end of September. What the?!! Loved the bee-hind (pun) the scenes of the honey harvest, and all your sweet knits! Your colour palette so resonates with my knitterly soul. Hope your headache has hit the road.
I loved the bee video, amazing!!! As well, I love, the intro music. All of your knits are beautiful, you are such a skilled knitter. Thanks for giving your feedback on the weekender crew, I was thinking of knitting it however, I can’t seem to figure out a tubular cast on as well as 3 needle bind off, so it may need to wait. Your Teri’s sweater is beautiful too, but another tubular cast on. I may just do a regular cast on as both sweaters are down my aisle. Thx for another great podcast 😊
Your podcast videos are so beautiful and professional ❤. I love the projects you have finished and are working on. Thank you for the video footage of the bees also!
Love seeing your honey bees at work . My daughter has hives , bees are the most amazing little things. They clean out the hives , always busy at the bottom outside . Wonderful to watch them but at a distance .
I love and admire everything about your knitting. The patterns and yarns/colors you choose really speak to me. Thanks. As always I look forward TK your next episode.
I have similar fit issues with circular yoke patterns. You can also increase your needle size to increase from your upper chest measurement to your full bust.
I was almost finished Jackie's version of the cowl neck Weekender when the crew neck version came out. This is my second Weekender, and I love this version even more. The gauge on my first, while using the called for yarn, seems stiff. I wanted to say regarding the difficulty you had getting gauge may be because the Dapple has 330 yards per 100 grams, and the Luma has 264 yards per 100 grams. When substituting yarns, I compare the yardage first, before I compare the composition. I am a tight knitter, and have the same concerns with getting gauge as loose knitters do. If I really love the fabric I'm getting, I'd rather go up a garment size than change needle size.
Your weekender crew is absolutely stunning. I think you need to be Andrea Mowry’s poster child for this sweater. As soon as you posted it on Instagram I fell in love with it. I think that sweater will need to be in my future. ❤
Love seeing the honey harvest. Quite interesting. How did your vegetable garden fair this year? I live in Nevada and our vegetables and fruit trees produced more than ever before. Not sure why (maybe because of the very wet winter we had). Thanks again for another great podcast. I enjoy everything you put out. 😀
Local raw honey is the best. I am so impressed with all of your recent FO and WIP. You will have plenty of current patterns to bring to Rhinebeck. Thanks for inspiring me.
My dad and my mom's cousin keep bees together, and occasionally, my kids help with the heavy lifting of the supers. They always give me some honey, and my boys get their own jars when they help. My favorite is honey is popular honey. I like sour wood honey too but it's not local. They put hives on property they have in Virginia and we live in NC. So excited about the weekender crew!!! Yay. I don't normally like bottom up knits but I will definitely knit this one. I have degenerative disc disease that causes me to have to deal with migraines. I hope you feel better soon
I was taught that Purpurea is pronounced Purr purr eah as in Echinacea Purpurea (Purple Cone Flower). Your knitting is always awe inspiring, Kaci. 🌻🌸 OH GOSH and the honey collecting was so cool!!!
I always look forward to your videos must be your soothing voice 😊and all your fos and wips plus life on the farm. I must say you always give great tips and help me with projects that I want to try. Thank you so much and I love the new weekender crew can't wait to make it now to find the right yarn and price point. Happy knitting and take ❤
I do exactly the same with yoke designs Kaci after a few disasters. Loving all your projects as usual and your Weekender looks gorgeous on your I loved those colours together. I hope you are feeling better ❤
Love your round yoke sweater! I too have round yoke sweater issues and for the longest time I thought I was picking the wrong size. But I think after I knitted several Renunculuses (sp??) lol…. That got me thinking about upper bust size and how to adjust for fit issues. Thanks for more advice on that! I enjoy your podcast!
I got a sweet tooth looking at all that honey! 🍯 Love the color of your Weekender Crew. 🧶 Your Color Craze Shawl is stunning. I hope you're feeling better. 💜
I’ll bet, when the cameras aren’t rolling, you don’t wear the “suit”. 😅 I have bee keeping family members and I don’t think I’ve every seen them wear the suit. You don’t have to answer. 😊 I like the new Weekender version. I feel the same as you about the boat neck. I don’t care for the pockets, they seem too high for this version, therefore, a bit useless.
I am excited to see your dk weekender. I live north of Sydney Australia and we don't have a call for worsted weight. I love your podcasts. Cheers Paula ❤
Love seeing your bees and beautiful honey. Question for you! (And fellow knitters/honey-lovers) I’m in LOVE with the idea of using honey in my everyday life, but I’m always at a loss for how to actually use it, beyond tea. What are your favorite ways??
I like adding honey on toast (by itself or with peanut butter), boiling a cup of water with honey to ease sore throats, or add honey as a sweetener for baking 💛 sometimes I just eat a spoonful because it's that good!
We were up in northern Arkansas around the White River last weekend. We are seriously considering retiring up there near the River. Do you have any suggestions about where to look?
So happy to see you've cast on that sweater. It's on my list to knit soon too. I've never knit cables before. Do you think this is a good beginner cable pattern or should I try on something else first?
I think it’s more of a green but definitely has some teal in it. The product photos on woolandco website for the color Aegean are very accurate. My photos and my video are edited so not quite as accurate
Hi, Kaci! I want to say thank you for creating great videos! I enjoy your channel very much, your projects and your creative energy are so inspiring! I was looking for a link or information in your description box for ways to thank you financially, but there are no details about that. I wonder if you thought of adding something like that (Super Thanks button on UA-cam, KoFi, or some other thing)?
I could just sew pockets onto my Weekender..if I wanted pockets. I don't knit secrets either. The minute a secret is mentioned I turn off. But that a test knitters contract

Eeeee Kacie! You look so gorgeous in those weekender crew pictures. 😍
I just need to say that the background music in your videos is always so amazing! I'm actually a pianist/piano teacher, so it always makes me so happy :)
I love the background music as well.❤
Another pianist/piano teacher here! Love the music, it gives such an aesthetic touch to your videos!❤🎶
I just love the background music.
Thanks for sharing your bees!
Very good episode. Very inspiring. Stay well.
Love the weekender crew! Lovely bees too!

I love your colors. And, your bees! I can imagine how good your honey is. Happy knitting!🧡💚
I used to keep bees. Miss my ladies. My favorite honey was the dark Fall honey. I see you have both Italian and Russian bees. TY for sharing.
I’m so impressed that you can do all this great knitting plus take care of bees and your farm. How do you find time?
Love the bee footage 😍
Yay! I think they are fascinating myself
All of your projects look fantastic! Great inspo going into this cozy fall :D (Im in TN, so it's just now feeling like fall time)
Your podcast videos are so beautiful and professional ❤. I love the projects you have finished and are working on. Thank you for the video footage of the bees also!

I am drooling over the color of your Purpurea sweater 🤤 it’s going to look so good on you!

Great tip!

Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather. You are so professional that it didn't notice at all. Get well soon x

We had a big harvest this year as well! A very wet winter here, also!
That FDF yarn base looks like Rocky Mountain Purls, which is their OG sock yarn. It's a BFL Nylon.

That’s awesome your kids are helping with the bees! They will never forget it ❤
I love when you share farm stuff. I dream of being a beekeeper one day.
Thanks! I find bees fascinating
I was taught that Purpurea is pronounced Purr purr eah as in Echinacea Purpurea (Purple Cone Flower). Your knitting is always awe inspiring, Kaci. 🌻🌸 OH GOSH and the honey collecting was so cool!!!
Great episode 😊 I have just purchased The Weekender Crew pattern after seeing your beautiful sweater 😍
This is my weekly therapy session. Seriously 👍👍
Awww. I love honey bees. My great uncle was bee keeper!
I enjoyed your bee and honey footage. That was beautiful.
Loved everything! Especially loved the bee and honey footage. That's so interesting to me. Great video.
Thanks so much!
Hello from Mounds, Illi😢.

Another great video. Loved the beekeeping section and all your beautiful projects!
Thank you so much!
Love that shawl. I’ll remember what you said about it being a good beginner brioche project.
It’s a lot of fun too!
I got a sweet tooth looking at all that honey! 🍯 Love the color of your Weekender Crew. 🧶 Your Color Craze Shawl is stunning. I hope you're feeling better. 💜
Thank you! The honey really is so good ❤
I loved to see the honey collection. Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
Beautiful pieces, Kaci! Question, as a beekeeper, how often do you get stung? Do your kids help with the bees?
Sturdily is a word 👍❤ and your shawl is gorgeous! 😃
It is! 😂 I just need use it in a grammatically correct way 😂😂😂
Love your Weekender Crew and Color Craze. I need to cast on both of those now! I really enjoy your episodes.
Thank you!!!
I got one hive last year and have loved beekeeping so far! I very much enjoyed watching your bees and honey processing! Thank you for sharing Kaci ❤
Great to hear! Thank you!

I agree, the pockets don't look very good - the size and placement are odd (and add extra volume around the midsection, which many women don't like).
I don’t usually wear a bee suit unless I know they are going to be really upset because of something we are doing. It’s just too hot around here
Your knits are so beautiful Kaci.
Thank you so much!
I am excited to see your dk weekender. I live north of Sydney Australia and we don't have a call for worsted weight. I love your podcasts. Cheers Paula ❤
I think something with some plant fibers in it would make a great breathable sweater
OMGosh! Your Weekender Crew looks so great! I'm definitely going to have to cast one on soon. ☺
You should! ❤ and thank you 😘

If you are a baker, honey butter on homemade bread is fantastic.
Thank you for inspiring me 🍃
Thank you for watching!
Love your new knits. 💕🌸
Thank you! 😊
Love your crew weekender!! I’m putting sleeves on my weekender now and look forward to knitting the crew weekender ❤
That’s awesome!
❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Love those socks! Must try a pair. What needles do you use for making your socks?
We were up in northern Arkansas around the White River last weekend. We are seriously considering retiring up there near the River. Do you have any suggestions about where to look?
Gorgeous intro! What was that cream-colored tank top that buttoned up? I'd love to make it!
Kaci, did you play the beautiful background music for the honeybee segments? Thanks 🦋
Sorry you're struggling with a headache.. but your episode was fabulous like always
Thank you!
So happy to see you've cast on that sweater. It's on my list to knit soon too. I've never knit cables before. Do you think this is a good beginner cable pattern or should I try on something else first?
Is silk really classified a plant fiber? It is a cocoon spun fiber?
Is the weekender crew teal or green? In the video, it seems to be teal, but in the photos, it's edited to be more green!
I think it’s more of a green but definitely has some teal in it. The product photos on woolandco website for the color Aegean are very accurate. My photos and my video are edited so not quite as accurate

The music is so beautiful! Is that your hubby playing?
No! It’s not this time! I’ll have to play some of his music one of these days
I could just sew pockets onto my Weekender..if I wanted pockets. I don't knit secrets either. The minute a secret is mentioned I turn off. But that a test knitters contract
