      @@zachrobberts3977 A small town, with little strategic significance.
      Meanwhile;-
      Ukraine won the battle of Mykolaiv.
      Ukraine won the battle of Kyiv.
      Ukraine won the battle of Kharkiv.
      (Twice now! :D )
      Ukraine won the battle for Snake Island.
      Ukraine won the battle of Kherson.
      Ukraine threw ruSSia's baby-killing ork army out of northern Ukraine completely, with the orcs running away so fast they left most of their vehicles, equipment and ammunition. Not to mention a yellow stain the size of a herd of camels.
      Ukraine sank their flagship, the Moskva.
      And the Saratov.
      The orcs have lost so many T72s, 80s & 90s they're having to field vintage 1950s T62s.
      rashka-parashka is losing a war to Ukraine while the world laughs, cheers and sends Ukraine more weapons.

These men take pride in their actions and it reflects in their surroundings; all are very clean, and very organized. I'm not saying that Ukraine is a perfect nation by any stretch. Hell, I'm not even saying it's not one of the most corrupt nations on the planet. I was thinking the same thing but then again this particular unit is obviously not on the front lines but rather encamped, likely for drills, in a rear echelon position. She has the leeway to be well manicured but once their unit is rotated to, or a new front opens, she won't have time for that.
      Then again I would encourage female members of the unit to try to look as unlady--like as possible if they were anywhere near the front. Legs & armpits left so hairy that it looks like they're wearing wool is appropriate I'd say. Anything to dissuade the "orcs" from committing yet another war crime if they happen to fall into enemy hands.

      @@rightside1911 This is true! I seem to recall a UA-cam video in which a small village in either Siberia or the Far East had a pretty tall tale that sorta fits, strangely! Supposedly the villagers had captured a hairy, ape-like woman, round about the 1920s. They kept her in a pit at first until she was a bit more docile & eventually they trained her to help with plowing, carrying firewood, etc.
      Although she never developed the ability to speak; One of the village's men wound up kinda attached (Hence why the story sorta fits!) According to their tale she gave birth to a boy. While the two were no longer around, having died like 20 or 30 years before the investigators were listening to this story, this rather large man of strange proportions was claimed to be their son!
      Then again I think every country has it's rural types that don't even care if the target of their lust is bipedal or a quadruped.

    As an American who served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 1980 to 1992 and from July 1998 to January 2002 I am going to say I am envious of the winter gear you and your fellow Ukrainian National Guard troops are being issued for Winter Gear. I had the pile cap that was originally issued with the post Vietnam issued M-1 Steel Pot helmets, the same OD wool scarf issued to the American troops of World War Two, a wool flannel shirt, lined twill over pants, off white 2 piece wool underwear, wool blend boot socks and after 1987 the mountain boots developed by the 75th Rangers out of Fort Lewis, Washington. From 1980 to 1982 I was issued an M-1941 down filled mountain sleeping bag with an inflatable air mattress and after 1982 the Intermediate Cold Weather sleeping bag with an extruded foam roll up sleeping mat. Along with these I was issued two wool blankets
    When I re-entered the Kansas Army National Guard in July 1998 I was issued an Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System modular sleeping bag, the same type of sleeping mat I used from 1982 to 1992, the same style M-1965 Field Jacket with liner, two wool blankets, the Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System parka and pants, the same type wool scarf, the same type winter underwear, the same type pile cap. LOL come to think of it I still possess the OD green Pile Cap I was issued in 1980. When they issued me my first Woodland Camouflage pile cap the supply sergeant did not have me trade in the old OD (olive drab) one.
    I want to know Operator Starsky do the Officers in the Ukrainian Armed Forces have to buy their uniforms and field gear, or are they issued their gear and uniforms like the enlisted soldiers and Non-Commissioned Officers?

    Excellent video, more like it please. It looked like your unit was using both GP Medium and Air Assault tents with arctic covers. It’s good to see their issuing eye and hearing protection along with upgraded winter gear, a warm soldier is a happy soldier.

    I've never been in the Army, but as a Deer Hunter in northern Wisconsin, USA, I can tell you that balaclavas or face masks are so important in the winter! Especially in harsh wind! Keeping your face and head warm in winter is vital to staying comfortable outdoors! I'd say it's almost as important as a good pair of insulated winter boots and gloves!
    God Bless Ukraine, from the USA!

      And that they actually APPRECIATE it and make that known continuously from the bottom to the absolute top dog, a man who I greatly respect now. It's nice to give some aid and not see those recipients dissing the people giving it.
      And a country that when this is over actually has a govt that cares about IMPROVING things for its people, and trying to rid themselves of the last of the severe corruption from the Russian puppet govt. Hopefully that is getting easier as they go along. I'll bet in the beginning it was very difficult, and any amount that anyone wants to bet. I'm also guessing that this war is allowing them to continue that job more quickly and efficiently.
      Having an almost bloodless coup to oust the slime amazed me. VERY few countries can or have accomplished that feat.

    Serious Question: The thousands of Ukranians who were sent to Britain for training were sent back fully equipped/ dressed in British combat uniforms ( except for weapons!).
    Could you do a similar review of this kit to see how it stands in comparison to Ukranian Kit or the cold weather gear that Canada has provided ? I think the Army would like to know ...and you can become the first Ukrainian War fashion blogger.

    Although I should not have been surprised at the cleanliness and organization of the camp....given Ukraine has always shown great military comport.....I was surprised. Reminds me of my Marine Corps days in the 60's. Everything squared away to the max. A true sign of discipline. It is great to see your troops outfitted to the max. Wool....are you getting plenty of wool base layers, socks and glove liner? If not, what organization can we work through to get this to you? Glory to Ukraine, utter defeat to Russia.

    • @gettingfactsoutthere
      @gettingfactsoutthere Рік тому

      I can guarantee this miles from the front line. If you actually saw what Ukrainians were sleeping in its nothing like this at all. Small man holes with plastic sheets.

    • @WayneTheSeine
      @WayneTheSeine Рік тому +6

      @@gettingfactsoutthere No duh! It would be absurd to see anything like this on the frontline... unless of course you are wanting to commit suicide. No one is alleging this is the conditions on the front line. What a stupid statement.

    • @gettingfactsoutthere
      @gettingfactsoutthere Рік тому

      @@WayneTheSeine Then you can clearly see this is nothing more than a propaganda video. Look at our tent so clean, look at our clothes so warm. Then you look at the real footage and images. You got Ukrainians with frostbite, very limited clothing and/or dead in a ditch with 3 of his comrades.

    • @WayneTheSeine
      @WayneTheSeine Рік тому +7

      @@gettingfactsoutthere I think it was more of a show of gratitude for the supplies that have been donated. When "you" look at war footage, what are you expecting, frolicking young men playing horseshoes and tiddly winks or maybe a Saturday night dance with the locals. Every adult, especially those of us who have served, know what the frontline is like. A wall tent on the frontline would be splendid...but a bit stupid. So, as always, the fighting man must dig a fighting hole and man up and protect is country and fellow citizens. You sound downright offended they are fighting for their land and freedom.

    • @gettingfactsoutthere
      @gettingfactsoutthere Рік тому

      @@WayneTheSeine The “freedom” they fight for is only applicable to pro-ukrainians and polish. If you speak Russian, are Hungarian, don’t support Zelensky to the fullest extent, don’t support the Azov to the fullest extent, are serbian or in any way shape or form want peace then there is no freedom for you in Ukraine. If you own a TV channel and its not given to the government its closed down. If you are an opposition leader and are more friendly russian than friendly western you are jailed. So what freedom are you exactly talking about? Not the kind of freedom the US brought to Iraq or Afghanistan. Or maybe the type of freedom they were giving to Libya or Somalia. Strange how freedom works like that isn’t it.
