One of the things I enjoy most about your steams, even when I have to catch them on the vod channel, is the beginning where you just talk to everyone and tell us how things are going. It’s like catching up with a friend. Just thought I’d share. Thanks for the steam.
Another twist on game 9: You were in a city, cities have shops, shops have products. Grumbot could dispense shopping lists that need to be collected. A player who has paid attention to the shops in the city will have an advantage. This way the randomization only has to be in the creation of the lists and not items all over the city. The items can be static.
2:12:00 Rooting for you. The problem is not really the hermits, except mainly Scar, but Twitch chat goading the other hermits like what happened with Skizz. Gotta stay on your toes lol
3:10:36 Maybe have some craftable items too? Like they can find singular emeralds worth a certain amount of points, and if they find enough, they can craft them into an emerald block worth a bit more than nine individual emeralds Also have more hidden/harder to get to chests have a higher chance for better items? For Simon says, (since floor is lava would be parkour) have it be a block grid, they have to stand on the block that Simon tells them to (pressure plate sensing?) If they survive a certain amount of time, Simon will give them the part.
1:17:35 classic zombies fans are having a hoot with that 😭💀 they might not know how fitting that is considering there was a Primis Christmas Album… Very much so not PG friendly but my goodness will that album live in my heart forever
For Grumbot says, if you make the items logically placed, so a piece of food from the food vendor, a lever from a mechanic shop etc it won't be frustrating imo. It also gives reasons for more street stands and small atmospheric builds. Have players collect like 5 items out of 20 possible hidden items, but the items requested are randomized out of the 20. That way it will be different each time they play, and unless they play a ton of times, it wouldn't become too repetative.
You should see if Pearl will help you with the hospital. She did a bunch of post apocalyptic hosptial stuff last season. Xisuma did an automated TCG opponent last year - is there something similar he could help with for a game? (Or even the short form of the game thats on the server this season?) Cub might also have some game ideas, he filled his pyramid with them.
I've finally gotten my friend into Hermitcraft recently, and sent that Hermits After Dark video as an "introduction". Safe to say she loved it and we laughed a lot.
A cool idea for the s7 part of Metro Mayhem might be a diorama of the turf war with armour stands of the hermits and mini versions of the HEP and mycelium resistance buildings, since that was something most hermits were involved in.
First, for the Grumbot one, I thought people were saying to call it "Grumbot says" instead of "Simon says." Second, with a scavenger hunt type game, they need to find a code word to override the system and close the gate before time runs out or else the city will become overrun by robots once more (lore). Hermits would then receive a clue to find the first letter of the word. You could randomize what the code word is and simply randomize which first letter they receive. Every subsequent clue would lead to them consistently to the next letter, but at least then you'd have some randomization assuming they don't get the same code word every time. You could even have them find the letters in random order so they can't guess the word ahead of time. Basically a scavenger hunt / word scramble. They finish the game when they return to start and enter in the correct code word. I'm not great with names, but you could call it something like "City Override"
Trying to make sure this fully makes sense... Let's say the code word is: CYBER They receive the first clue that takes them to E They then get another clue that takes them to C And so on until you have all five letters. Then you return, unscramble the letters, and enter the word CYBER. But let's say the code word changes and it's the word PULSE. The randomizer gives them the letter L L leads to E And so on until they get all five letters and have to unscramble it to enter the code word.
This stream made me laugh so much. Which would be a good thing, except I also have a cold, so every time I laughed it sent me into a coughing fit. Oh well, worth it 😂 Great stream, super chill! Sad that we might have to give up on some of our plans, but the ones being kept are cool!
lock the player in the building until they Complete/fail AND give the elytra back, so they dont have it in the city make it like a dropper that they gotta shoot targets while flying around a mostly empty building, make sure it has mending and unbreaking, have it be equipped on an armor stand to repair it before putting it back in the system. or have a slow falling dropper with targets,
1:47:00 Hi Impulse, You dropped the name of a family member here. I thought I'd let you kow, because I understand you value your and your family's privacy.
@@basscharenborg6441 I wouldn't really call the cat a family member whose information should be kept secret. Everyone already knows Prim's name, so why is the cat a problem?
You could use dispensers of lava into slabs triggered by the red and green lights; then lanterns and buttons, and no indicator for easy medium, and hard routes. A game where you have to hit targets from puzzle locked areas to get the train through a track you can see through a glass floor, you could add pigmen and zombies or villagers or whatever to count up the numbers saved or transported opportunities for track switches and even fuel as rewards for puzzles, the fuel would load into the train that you load with different cars like a furnace and hoppers/chests to load earned fuel into and keep it moving then at set areas, hoppers under the track could reclaim most of that and present new puzzles that have to be solved. As far as the cart target game I like Broken Arrow for the title, like the movie and like the loss of a nuclear source and you have to ride the train it's on and shoot the targets to keep them from setting off the bomb, the reveal could be when you lose the next area has a narration saying we couldn't stop the bomb and the area is blowing up and you have to doge some explosions to get through, and if you win the narration says we stopped them but it wasn't the only train and the next area is still the same tnt fallout. Or possibly fewer explosions to doge. Anyway, I hope any of this helps, and thank you for sharing.
For the elytra a winding course inside a deep narrow area where hoppers are the obstacles and the floor is flowing water would easily reclaim the wings and net you hermit heads. Combine that with whiteout or darkness and flight 3 rockets it gets fun.could also add string that switches the lighting to make it dynamic and more cyberpunk.
You were talking about the Hermits After Dark compilation. Please continue to keep your streams PG rated. I don’t care for the dirty humour and swearing. The fact that your videos and streams are PG rated is why I watch you! ❤
One of the parts for the game should be called the nooch and snoogans Also thinking a maze game like the backrooms would be a cool game, maybe make the doors open and close to make it different every time? Dunno if that’d be too grindy but just an idea
I would say remember verticality…..chutes and ladders-esque….maybe an obstacle course that’s all ladders…..enter a building where only way to travel is down, landing in a room where only way to further travel is up, but it goes up two floors, etc, up and down to a destination……..inside the building is all dark except one light at each ladder. Room sizes are kept within range of single light for mob proofing……no decoration…..should feel echo-y.
Med-Bay Mania could be the name of it and E.R. Escape, Infested Infirmary, Hostile Hospice, Repo Recovery, and Flight for Life could all be sections or levels. I know Joe and Cleo might be down to style it like Repo The Genetic Opera, and that along with any other collaborators would help with the increased scope... And if you're ever worried about a new season everyone could take a long nether trip to the new spawn. Who's gonna know? Lol.
a cool representation of boatem/season 8 could be the rocket you used to escape the moon. placing it horizontally with moon/void theming so players are "falling" through the finale would be sick
Maybe Grumbot could be the main one and the energy source generator is Grumbot’s heart ❤️ or something like that? The scavenger hunt could be the pieces that you need from each game to restore Grumbot’s heart so he can reactivate and control the town again. Like he was the original AI Grumbot? Lol just a thought for the Lore. Cheers!
I'm excited to see what gets done this season. I do feel that forcing yourself to play phasmo + ussualy if you skip a day it's always hermitcraft unfortunately we won't see the end but that's okay because the journey is fun
With variety Friday being a possibility, what does everyone think about Impy playing something like Amnesia or Slenderman 💀 maybe potentially even FNAF or Poppy’s playtime 🤔
Thank you Impulse for the idea’s for looking up references pictures, I’m going to look for some pictures of Dragon claw marks. You are the best Impulse.
You could do a scavenger type game where you gather supply items for the refugees (idk the term you used) and you have to go drop them off at that cave.
I think the practices are mostly closed so the kids don't get the pressure and anxiety about being watched. Some kids have parents who don't judge them, but other kids (like me in the past) do. All of the things you mentioned are also valid concerns that are being addressed by this decision, so I believe it's for the better
Gumbot says mumbo for mayor, or profit, and several other things Grumbot would say and that indicates a path they have to take if it's the wrong one or if they jump the gun like it was not Grumbot says or the wrong path it drops them could use trapdoor string and locked repeaters to do it all in one area with a few paths they are wrong it's a long way back and they don't score they need set scores to pass or unlock whatever. An increasingly fast beeping indicator and short times along with the drop would make it intense and easy to mess up, a bunch of indicators for grumbot says or grumbot didn't on lights and signs could increase the complexity and difficulty.
I played club volleyball and I will tell you it is amazing. I loved every minute of it. I hope your daughter enjoyed it as much as I did, and regional is nicer when it comes to traveling 😊
Impy are you going to put the One of Us charity stream on this channel? IMO it was one of your most entertaining streams,if you’re not going to that’s fine
A lot of those games you have in mind sound pretty great, but they also seem to be a bit big when you put them all together. It might be just me, but I imagine you are not doing anything but building the rest of the city for the rest of the season (for however long it's going to last) and that sounds like it's going to turn a bit repetitive and old. With wild life and everything going on, I hope you can balance your hermitcraft projects well. I would rather see you finishing your city but not including a few games than rushing to build everything before the end-of-the-season deadline and you getting burned out from it. Your content and streams are far more enjoyable when you are enjoying the season and the projects you're doing, and hopefully that's going to be the case up until the season ends. That's just a concern, if you know how to manage it all gracefully, then that's wonderful. We want content, but you feeling good is more important. We love you and your hard work ❤❤.

Impy, someone in your chat mentioned this: Mumbo's DDR as one of the games. Unless he has a plan for it, use in your city would be cool
Some do things for X and Y reasons, Zedaph does things for Zed reasons.

Also, sorry....I made the comment while the video was playing so it sounds like you have it all settled
Mini game idea. Using a fishing pole to move an object (something on an armour stand) through some maze/course or maybe just around some obstacles.
