The recipe is simple you can find it online. We make even diffrent flavors like nutella and pistachio. Yum 😍 and we use a lot of rum in it lol. We do make non alcoholic but its more for kids.

(That’s what ppl say😁) their made from mole lol every year when we have Christmas parties and new friends come over everyone is shock because not many ppl know of them or know that Mexicans make them from banana leaf. everyone always ask if they can take some home to their families so they can try them lol! Since my mom and her sisters are from Acapulco, they always use banana leaves when making tamales. So, I prefer those over the corn husk tamales. And everytime I bring up the banana leaf tamales, the other Mexicans look at me weird ;n;
In yucatan that kind of tamales are called Vaporcitos and they use the banana leaves, I think the corn ones are from the north and central part of Mexico, but both taste really good 💕
Mexican cuisine in the North, Central, and South areas are very diverse from each other, and even migrant foreigners living in Mexico for centuries have added their own unique flavors and have become part of our cuisine, for example, Tacos Arabes, which is a dish made by mainly Lebanese people in Mexico, I'd love to try more southern style Mexican food, so don't feel bad about it! Since my mom and her sisters are from Acapulco, they always use banana leaves when making tamales. So, I prefer those over the corn husk tamales. And everytime I bring up the banana leaf tamales, the other Mexicans look at me weird ;n;

In yucatan that kind of tamales are called Vaporcitos and they use the banana leaves, I think the corn ones are from the north and central part of Mexico, but both taste really good 💕

Mexican cuisine in the North, Central, and South areas are very diverse from each other, and even migrant foreigners living in Mexico for centuries have added their own unique flavors and have become part of our cuisine, for example, Tacos Arabes, which is a dish made by mainly Lebanese people in Mexico, I'd love to try more southern style Mexican food, so don't feel bad about it! That is the beauty of our Mexican culture, that it's so diverse!! Viva la raza 🇲🇽
