I applied and got hired for back of house because I didn’t want to talk and deal with people on the drive through headset or outside but after getting cross trained and working more front of house I realized it is much better and the stress is really less because you don’t have to worry to assemble or make food quickly in the back or clean a bunch of equipment and everything you use in the kitchen. Once you get used to taking people’s order and being generally polite it is not really that bad and I’d prefer it to mopping the grease covered floors in e kitchen

I also quit after one month of working at the Chick-fil-A by my house because the pay wasn’t that great the environment was friendly but I needed to focus on school and my future career. When I quit the manager that was working at the time asked who I was and then I asked why I wasn’t in uniform and when I told her I quit I asked if she wanted me to bring the uniforms that I had in my truck and her response was “no I just need you to not walk in here like you own the place.” I’m glad I left after having that encounter.

My manager didn’t even respond to me after i asked should i bring back all my uniforms. I worked their 2 years and according to all managers and the store owner I was “one of the best workers” there. Well, apparently when you leave you’re turning your back on them and never wanna see you again. My store owner was the bomb tho because he loved everything i did there (even tho the managers treated me and many others like crap). But he only gets to hear whatever manager’s , and once i said i had to leave because of a rough injury that was going to take months to heal, they acted like i had spit in their face and never answered any questions i had about if they needed me to do anything before quitting. I hated our chick fil a so bad.

I quit less than a month actually I think it was barely a month… they had been doing mobile expo during the lunch hours (12-2) alone on a summer weekend and do expo for two more hours after mobile.. as you expected I worked four hours as a whole so I was pretty tired so I asked for my break and I got denied… I understand why but an hour later I ask again and then get denied so this is five hours in total and I was kind of confused because there wasn’t much cars… I shrug it off and ask an hour later and same answer then I lose my shit… I didn’t curse out any employee but I did tell my co-worker in front of my shift Manager that I’m gonna put my two weeks and they always do this bullshit where they never have a stall a time for workers… coworker told me to demand my break because I worked very long and I still have a long time ahead and I told them it would be useless because I already asked three times… I guess the manager overheard me and put me on break then I got my food and left and I haven’t looked back since, it’s been three days

Yea. I've been there for two weeks now and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to stay there for very long... I've worked several other much tougher jobs so that's not the issue, but the lack of structure and organization is about to drive me straight up the wall. The thing that pushes me over the edge the most is having an owner / operator and executive directors who just don't get it... very clearly have never worked a full week of 8hr days in their life, let alone a month or maybe 3 months on a consistent basis. Silly operator's wife came in the other day (on a Saturday no less) and told us to slow down and stop making mac / cheese until they got the window cleared. Aw hell no. We're not slowing down just because you can't keep up. I almost walked that day. Luckily, this is a part time job for me and I'm only using it to move to another state with and have a job when I get there and then I plan to get a better job but damnit, I don't know if I can put up with it much longer.

I work in BOH (going on about 4 months) and I generally like it a lot. My pay is pretty good but most of it goes to my bills. Its a lot of stress for just barely being able to get by. My sister worked in the FOH but recently got fired for "not being a good fit". I got a promotion the same day she was fired. I'm entering into the trainer probationary period. I'm not really a people person but I'm patient and helpful so hopefully I can be a good trainer bc I'd hate to ruin anyone else's, especially a new person's working experience. I only interact with FOH but so much but to me they come across as very fake. I can't help but hold a grudge against them bc it feels like they had a part in getting my sister fired through anything they might have said about her (bc those FOH mofos like to run their mouths). Please pray for me

Leadership can show lots of favoritism and team members poorly. That's what happened at my location. I was treated poorly and had false narratives come out about me. I didn't make any progress and was constantly put in situations of which leadership wanted to make sure I failed.
