    This video made this so much easier to understand than the rule book. Thanks Jon!

    What do you do when two players can neutralize the same card but no other card

      Each player is neutralizing only the cards in front of them. So if there is a card in front of you, you can neutralize it. If it's in front of another player, it's that players cards. Or maybe I am missing the question?

    Wish you would record a full base game with 2 players to see how it plays. Needs more explanation about the cards open for play, and the video doesn't match the book. We really want to play but there are holes in the rules.

    I just got this game, but the tiles have an X on the back instead of the negative numbers. Was this changed at some point during production? If so, might wanna mention it in the description or with an overlay on the video so people don't get confused.

      There were a couple changes inthe 2nd Edition, and we are in the process of updated the video and posting updated rules. Here are the fours major changes. They are minor but do make an impact. (1) the action tiles no longer lose a player points for playing them that's why the X is there. (2) The Transition Metal cards can be turn 180 degrees at anytime! (3) The Polyatomic Ions gain you points AND allow you to refresh an action tile, rather just one or the other. (4) And there are always 3 Compound Goals Cards available each round rahter than only 2 in a game with less players.

    You should really do an updated video on the version with the white box. It is very hard to follow with evening looking different, and the instructions in the box aren't that helpful

    are the games: Ion: A Compound Building Game & Photographic Card Deck of The Elements, different? For example on Amazon they are listed on Prime as two different games. Is one the core game and the other an expansion?

    What happens when the main deck runs out and you need to take more cards?

    • @geniusgames5802
      @geniusgames5802  4 місяці тому

      This shouldn't happen in a game. How many players, what happened that caused the deck to run out?

      @@geniusgames5802 At the end of the turn, we discard the 2 cards from each hand and the center cards, as it should be in each round, and in the third round we run out of cards, 3 players play, we play the 2nd edition

      After each round, you re-shuffle *most* of the cards back into the deck before you pass out decks for each person for the new round (*not the radioactive*)...
