THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! i was very sad earlier today because I was getting frustrated with keeping my armature up. it just kept falling and falling, but now im gonna buy one of those cranes to help hold him up. I also like the green screen idea, it's alot easier than making an entire set by hand.
I am absolutely amazed that I cannot find an animation rig which is already green! Nowhere! I mean, you would think that it was a no brainier. No black or metal only.
Something that helps is to place a few boxes or cubes in the environment (take a photo) and the remove them before doing the final snapshots. That way you have a reference image you can use to generate a perspective grid from it.
where did you get that rig? is it on www.armaturenine.com ? I mean that black thing thata you use to make the puppet "fly", and you covered it with some green foam. You call it arm in the video.
I'm sure you could. The current extendable arm we sell, however, is entirely metallic, whereas the one featured in the video was plastic. So paint may not adhere as well with the new design.
You can get them on our website: armaturenine.com or build a custom model on armaturelab.com The "crane" has been replaced with a clip stand which also allows you to get extensions for it. Excellent! :)
i cant WAIT to get my armature nine!!
Tips and tricks. My respects!
pretty cool
Thanks
can you use a lighting cube for stop motion?
sure, why not?
Why not design the crane to be green instead of black? Would that save you time in post?
Good idea! At the time we were working with pieces that had already been manufactured, and so we had no control over the color.
Why not paint the crane with green screen colored paint? Just a thought.

We sell a chroma green stand that fits our animation figure (Rider). You can find it here: armaturenine.com/products/chroma-green-stand
How to make sure the perspective matches the background we're going to use for chroma key?

Nice video. Where do you find flexible pod?
Hi Cemal Toys, we no longer have in stock. But are hoping to bring it back once we find a new supplier.
Can you please tell me the name of the stand behind the figure in the thumbnail
Hi jimmyjohn, we've discontinued that stand, but have a clip stand now that is also extendable here: armaturenine.com/products/a9-1-6-clip-stand
Wie heisst die Software die du da nutzt ?
Could you just paint the arm prop?
I'm sure you could. The current extendable arm we sell, however, is entirely metallic, whereas the one featured in the video was plastic. So paint may not adhere as well with the new design.
What app is this
Why don't they make the arm green thats holding it?
Black must be a lot more popular than green I guess?
can anybody point me to where that stand for the charater is from?
You can get them on our website: armaturenine.com or build a custom model on armaturelab.com
