Still reckon Grave New World was their greatest album. Bought it when it came out and still listen to it regularly. Not a duff track on the album (one is a bit different but still OK).
Saw straws at a festival , Suffolk and Good, years ago, Dave was signing autographs, they hadnt played yet, i walked up and said, hi, are you famous, blames beer , he said no, saw them that evening on stage, huge guilt
Thank you for the post - I have had many years of pleasure listening to this wonderful band.
Thanks for posting this. Its good to see John Ford and Blue Weaver back for their final concert. Shame there is no Chas or Dave
Oh no! I've just looked at their web page - this is their Farewell Show!
Thanks Tony Carsley for posting this.
What a sad farewell - no Lambert or Cronk - after all those years!
Yes, very sad. Maybe they were none too happy at being sidelined when Dave Cousins moved to South Africa?

Dave is amazing. A wonderful career. The Strawb were first class musicians.
It's great to see them on stage here - I hope they tour next year.
Sadly they won't. This was Dave Cousins final concert.
Ty!
Class 👍🎸
Trevor Lucas was a guest vocalist on the album version of this.
Sandy's Hubby .

Dave was that sort of bloke . I saw Him after a concert in Poole . " What no Part of the Union " Dave . He laughed and said " Geroff " . Amazing Guy .
Who is the female vocalist?
Kathryn Craig, partner of Brian Willoughby (also on stage).
