Man Transwood denied me during the background check over here in Colorado. The company is like right near my house also lol. But im going to keep on applying since i have fuel hauling experience. I start my new fueling hauling job this week so its all good.
Ill be there sooner or later. Just hoping lordi gives me time to get this done. The way things are going now seems like lord return will be happening soon. Eather way. Im happy both ways. I graduate cdl class A this month. I neen my 1 to 2 years of driving first. But fuel hulling is what is on goal

If you’re trying to work local. Just look for smaller companies that will hire new drivers and get your experience up. If you’re looking for OTR a lot of big companies will hire new driver. It’s easy getting an OTR job.

And this is the problem that I have with the industry! Having a Hazmat endorsement should automatically put you in a different pay grade! There’s no way that a hazmat guy should be making the same as a dry van, or reefer, or even flatbed (without hazmat) guy!! Im sorry to tell you but This pay is not great for any hazmat guy!
Absolutely agree w both comments. Hazmat is highly underpaid for the risk involved in safely transporting these loads day in day out. We should be getting minimum $33 hourly imho. ANYWHERE! As a Florida hazmat driver i’m at 30,600 gross as of today 4/19/24. People might say that’s good money and it is but when you add all the stresses and risks of the job, trust me it isn’t enough. Taxes be killing anything over 2k For ex. Last week i grossed 2300 but only took home 1800. That’s 500 in taxes off the rip. This economy and inflation plus heavy taxes is killing middle class or what there is left of it. Good luck to all! If you’re reading this comment trucking is a good industry just have to be willing to work hard and put up w all the BS that comes with the job and above all strive to keep your driving record spotless.

Bro I second this, I'm doing market research into other income possibilities. As it stands driving frac sand sounds attractive/horrible (good $/ 0 sleep ). I run a landscaping company in central TX, the tax code is LEGALIZED PLUNDER. the moment you make over gross 40k you're margins shrink to around 20%. I think you have to cross the 150 to 200 mark to be "middle class". Completely fraudulent system we live in!

Just keep your eye out on smaller companies that say they will train. Try to get at least 6months Experience. It also depends on where you’re from.
