Ok I've driving for circle k for 5 years the amount of experience from a new driver I spoke with was 1 year when I hired on I had 19 years driving experience and zero fuel hauling experience trained for 2 months and off I went absolutely love it WILL NOT go anywhere else and when I retire from here I'll work it part time

I was a driver trainer for 18 years, it was alright but the atlanta traffic aint no joke. Got tired of it, went over the road with own authority. In that industry, it use to be 2 years tanker experience. I left the industry in 2013, may have to go back... Its rough out there over the road. Brokers are the worst and are taring up this industry with cheap freight whilst maintaining a truck out there on the road is always on the rise.....never goes down. Using those 4 inch hoses is no joke either especially if its more than 20 feet. Its an alright job, great if you run at night, should be easier with the traffic.
I fuel haul here in OHIO. It is hard to get on most companies insurance won’t take you especially with a bigger company most want you to have a 1 year minimum

I tried applying with XPO a couple of times and eventually I did get an email offering to schedule a time for a phone interview which I did but then they didn't respond since and no one ever answers the phone. Like IDK how they even get new drivers at that point 🤣

You right they don’t like picking up the phone , your best bet is to email them back. Where I’m at Orlando Fl, those guys been there for years idk if they want to leave that company. Start pay is $32.53 n 0.78 a mile. I think that why they little tough when it comes to hiring people. It been a month n I’m still waiting.

This is just my opinion but keep in mind I've been a fuel hauler for 13 years or so.. if any company is willing to hire you the day you get out of driving school its not much of a company. If you are new to the industry get a few years in, get legitimate skills don't try to fake this shit. Gas is hazardous it goes boom.

getting carded is the hardest if they have like 9 different loading racks to deal with. easy to get fired too if you make a mistake like not hooking up a vapor hose or a cross dropping. and you have to park in a specific way if a store has a small ass parking lot. it's a nightmare. i honestly begin to hate this job but i have no choice as of now. i'm considering to quit trucking altogether.
@@dude8273 Getting carded is not hard. All rack have the same general safety principles. Some racks are more strict than others. If you pay attention and think before you act, you’ll have zero problems.
@@brandonevans9182 Shouldn’t overfill as long as you follow proper steps. I check for retain during my pre trip. I check again when I get to the rack. 1. Hook up scully (grounding cable) 2. Hook up vapor hose 3. Open internals to check for retain 4. Hook up product hoses. On average I will deliver 5 loads of Reg, Prem, or combination totaling 8600 gallons per load per day, to Costcos in California, 5 days a week. Sometime Dsl loads of 7500. Not 1 issue. You have be careful and calculated. I think the biggest challenge is deciding what the next move in life is. So much time to think. Your on autopilot. Get your work, run your loads, go home. Fueling Costco’s are fun though. Easiest, most organized, zero drama fueling you can do. I’ve done all other big name stations and mom & pops. Costco is a very structured operation. It’s set up to where you can’t fail. Some people get complacent, and they fail because they are not paying attention.

Yes, you also have to do a background check. Once both written test & background check are successfully completed, you can get your endorsement.
