@@betarachel That's a good point, DK plays music all the time on the bongos, so musical hypnosis wouldn't work on him due to him being used to it.

Let me clear something up. It's the misconception of calling this stuff "Hypnosis" but the thing is, real hypnosis is more like seducing someone's subconscious into A calm trance like state.
The stuff in this game and in media is more like mind control.

Yes. It’s possession. The Tiki Tak Tribe possessed the animals and creatures of DK Island to steal the bananas to use them to create an army.
Hypnosis would not have these effects, but possession, and as you said, mind control, would.
It’s like a mix of hypnosis and mind control imo. Get them into a calm trance state, THEN mind control them, idk that’s what I think

My questions... Why didn't the tikis apear sooner in the franchise? Where did they come from? Did they have a history with the kongs prior to the game? And finally... How is the kalimba tiki the only one to survive more than one beating from Kong and come back for more?
The Tiki Tak Tribe were native inhabitants of the island along with Kongs
Hopefully they will be a plush collection :)
He either survived because he was the only one for that to happen to him or just because he was made out of a stronger Wood, or may be a bit of both

I’ve not played the game before, but based on the music, I wished all the instruments could’ve played together. Maybe incorporating all of them during the Tiki Tong fight.

He is either too dumb to get hypnotised, or can't because bananas are immune to hypnotisation, that's why I think the tikis want all the bananas

The ingredients of greatness are all there, We don't need any more side-scrollers in this franchise.
Either time constraints or hardware limitations, gotta remember that cutscenes are also way easier to make then open field/world games themselves as you have alot more interactions with models and barriers n such
