Got a '21 SR/S. A blast to ride but only for short local rides. Until they get up around 25 kW batteries in them this will be my last bike, I' m 72 next month and I'd trade my SR/S in for a bike like the DSR/X, but not for only 10 or 15 extra miles range per charge! Zero doesn't seem to be doing anything to increase their sales. Dealers are quitting and from what we read, many Zero owners are in the same boat as me. I can't even buy a Zero T-shirt at a dealer locally, I order them on Amazon and they're from Koup's Cycles in PA. In other words, us Zero owners are more excited about the bikes than Zero is!
Battery tech will get better. The new SR/S has 120 miles of what I would call real range, which is about 100 miles on the interstate or about 140+ miles around town and that's quite a leap from just a few years ago (14.4 vs. 17.3 kW battery). I've bought 2 Zero t-shirts & a hat at my dealer. I think it depends on whether a dealer decides to stock Zero merchandise. Some dealers do the bare minimum while others go all out. Sounds like Koup's Cycles is a great dealer that knows how to snag opportunities some other dealers are missing. I think Zero is trying hard but it's still early days for EV motorcycles and it's easy to forget how small a company it is compared to the Haleys and Hondas of the world.
In the UK the X line might be registered as motorcycles for on road use. There is no minimum speed limit to register, but like 50 cc bikes they wouldn't be allowed on motorways. They would also have to meet standards on brakes and lighting. They would have to be registered for off road use on public land, but not on private land.
Thankfully, I’ve talked at least a dozen people out of purchasing anything from Zero Motorcycles. All it took was a first hand account of my personal experience, owning an SRS, and they run like hell to anything other than a Zero.
Sweet spot would be 70mph for 6.5k 65mph for 6k 60mph for 5.5k Torque is nice, but i want to be able to pass if need be. 50mph saddly is not worth getting over a grom or navi

Zero said in Europe they would be classed as moped, so yes. They also said they are going to be releasing 6 new models soon. By 2030 i think.

Comparison to E-Ride Pro SS?
The E-Ride Pro SS definitely appears to be a good comparison and has a higher top speed of 60 mph. eridepros.com/product/pro-ss20-19/
E-Ride Pro SS is a ton of fun, I have one and I would say based on the specs it is gonna be a solid notch above these bikes in performance.
The chief engineer of Zero said they would be registered as a moped in europe.

Zero Is beautiful and more minimal than a Surron, but the front face Mask is horrible, compared to its main competitor ( 🐝 Bee and Bee ultra)
Zero realized they're missing out and want a piece of the pie. I'll stick to surron.
