    I got one of these F75 SE/Limited Edition detectors about a month ago and this thing is a monster. Like you show in this video; for parks and trashy areas this thing kicks ass in full discrimination, no Notch, 1n tone setting, in Jewelry Process. I get an amazing amount of targets (coins/rings) every time I go out, and on my property that has a very old history, with trashy metal scraps galore. When in doubt of a target I go to All Metal Mode to decipher. I put a Cors Fortune search coil on it and it has gone into overdrive now, with even more incredible separation of targets!! Thank you for your insight with the F75. It was very helpful.

    love how it up averaged that penny with the iron next to it. what a great feature to "pull" out the better targets being masked.

    The Fisher F75 with a small coil is pretty awesome. I use a NEL Snake with mine and it is unbelievable! I have both a Garrett AT Pro and a Fisher F75. My Garrett loves a big coil. It is great for hunting relics. My Fisher is great for doing what you are doing now.

    You put a good effort into your videos and they are easy to watch. The pesky bottle caps like you referred to can present like a possible coin on so many detectors. You mentioned the V3i and I have 5 years on mine and the bottle caps are far less problematic even without running BC reject. I have the same Fisher F75 LTD SE arriving in a couple days and I'll try some of the methods mentioned below to see if the ID drops off in a telling way. Nice that you took time to swap coils because I've hunted drive ins (carpet of trash) and the Fisher was no slouch with the 11" in your vid but the 5" should be a dream in a site like that. Thanks

    F75 with Fisher 5x10" Solid White Elliptical DD coil: killer combo in iron; Gain 65, 99 tone, +9 pitch tone (carries over from All Metal to Disc, 2L tone, FA. Found beaucoup little silver hammered this way in mid/high mineralization. Mind you, that is in MY soil, not yourn.

    Thanks for posting video, I just purchased a F75 SE to use over here in the UK, I tried a teknetics T2 and loved it.

    Nice hunt. I love my F75. I try to split my hunts between the F75 and the CTX 3030. Thanks for sharing.

    Hunting with a F 75 with high sensitivity, with the stock 11 inch coil, in a high metal trash hunting site is..... pure insanity .....On the other hand, hunting with a small coil and stock sensitivity, would be a joy hunt.

    Doesn't take very long to discover that the crown caps come in real bouncy, does it! Also, if you raise the coil 3 to 4" and the numbers drop off quickly, it is nearly always a crown cap. Quarters will continue to give higher numbers. Screw caps usually come in at around 68 to 70. Once you learn the language of the F75 you can really pick out the goodies from them trashy places. Thanks for the video.

      I just bought a Fisher F75. It's a learning experience. I think the depth reading is kind of inflated. It said 6 inches but it is more like 4 inches. But I was able to dig out coins buried 6 inches deep. I had a Bounty Hunter Land Ranger Pro which is a good machine but it will max out at 6 inches. The other day, I dug out a screw cap buried 12 inches deep.

    "dammit, another bottlecap" Man this is good stuff! Surely explains the process in my mind when detecting in trash.

  • @ianparker527
    @ianparker527 8 років тому +4

    Have you tried wiggling and slowly lifting your coil over the target? While you do that, look at the VDI reading. If it's a rusty bottle cap, usually the reading will drop towards the iron range the further your coil is from the target. Although I don't think that would work with a new bottle cap with no rust. A good target like a coin the VDI will hardly drop as you lift the coil away from the target.

      I have an F75 SE Ltd, the method you mentioned works. He needs to use the 6" concentric eliptical for a place like that... the huge footprint, and DD is a double no-no with this machine in a trash infested site like this.

    looks and sounds similar to the Teknetics T2 se except for the display. Not to different then my T2 classic, but then there both made by First Texas. Nice hunt GL&HH

    • @KernowekTim

      They are 'cousins', so to speak. I own the 75, however the T2 is an awesome machine, better amongst the iron than my 75, but as always, the 75 can do a few things a wee bit better sometimes. Both are U.S 'Muscle' metal detectors. I'm in U.K, yet I prefer FT machines over Europeans. Just my personal opinion.

    A DD Coil is the problem, all of my DD coil machines love bottlecaps Safari, FORS CORE,AT-PRO,ETRAC, only heel and toe technique can call them out. MY Teknetics Gamma with its concentric for example completely ignores them( steel and iron Crown Caps bottlecaps) at normal sweep speeds and sees the good targets nearby. Thanks for the demo video scannerguy. When it comes to aluminum screwcaps there is no machine that can avoid them since they are nonferrous good alloys, you must dig those as they sound like a large gold ring and id as such on any machine

    The coil needs to be swung fast with the F75 to get good signals. Its in the manual.

    • @scannerguy1968
      @scannerguy1968  8 років тому +2

      All depends on what mode you are in. In fast or Jewelry it does. But in the deeper modes slow is better. That is what I found with my tests anyways.

      The latest F75 LTD or the F19 on some hunts. Sold off the F19 though. I've had other old F75's and F70's along with some other older models. The newer F75 is best in my book for fisher

      What is the new F75? is it LTD SE Or??, I can't keep the, straight. LOL. I really want to know if they are quiet? or do they make noise all the time? I hunt parks and yards looking for old silver, Whats your suggestion?
      I really like your Videos, They seem real and down to earth. Funny at times!!

    Our local Drive-In has been in business since late 40's. I'd like to sweep it, but I know the owner wouldn't allow it. He's a real miserable prick.

    what about the deeper coins they must be also older, this detector only detects like 15cm max, but a coin from 1800 must be about 30 so good luck

    • @Mr.Technical77
      @Mr.Technical77 7 років тому +5

      How you figure it maxes out at 15cm? You must mean inches. This machine eats 15cm for a snack.

      Pez Delicatessen I dug a metal plate at 1 meters in normal de mode. gave real good signal but after about 8 inches I knew it wasn't something good but probably just large steel item (good conductivity ID)
      The F75 is a very very deep machine... not even mentioning all metal mode or Boost Process. Makes for lots of hard work digging deep lol

    • @jerryscary3098
      @jerryscary3098 7 років тому +2

      Pez Delicatessen I found a 1915 barber quarter at every bit of 11", and a 1700's flat button that was probably closer to a foot deep with mine. I think you're mistaken.
