That's a great question and I don't have a 100% answer for you. I haven't handled the newer dyneema bags but I have "heard" that no, it's slightly different. Take that for what it's worth.
@@JBOutside1 appreciate the reply. they still call it “special forces “grade not sure if it’s just marketing or maybe it indicates higher thickness. If memory serves, they used to list the millimeter measurement now I don’t see it on the website.
@@JBOutside1 To add insult to injury, I’m in Canada so extra shipping and border tax theft make it around $800 in Beaver Bucks. Crazy for any GR1 variant of desire.
Solid video. Thanks for the review! I've got a GRXC1 26L incoming but was wondering if I could please get a quick answer regarding the laptop compartment? Is the laptop section larger in the 26L than the 21L? I have a 17" Dell XPS that I need to lug around for work and the Goruck website states that it fits a 16" laptop without a distinction between the 21L and the 26L. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
According to dell you laptop is about 15x10 (rounded up). The laptop compartment on the 26L is at least 16” deep and pretty close to 10 inches. The width might be tight.
@@JBOutside1 absolutely! Thanks again for the help! It’s my first Goruck (coming from an Evergoods Phoenix and Mission Workshop Rhake) so I’m a little concerned about organization. I just ordered the Load Cell and Pocket Organizer from Inside Line Equipment to compliment my motley crew of other random pouches so I hope I’m covered!
I haven’t noticed any scratches at all. It’s been used daily to/from work. But I also haven’t abused it either. Currently it’s my favorite fabric and bag!
I know. The dyneema project sent this train down a dangerous track. Premium, custom made materials for a one-off pack though…comes at a price. This one isn’t for everyone but it’s built as well as the price point IMHO
Is the Dyneema on the current non- colab GR1 Dyneema the same quality, gauge, thickness Dyneema that came on this colab GR1 Dyneema edition?

Nicely done, I just think it’s too pricey to dislodge my other Goruck bags.
Not gonna lie, that’s the biggest negative

@@toodamnskippy6220 Ouch!! That’s crazy. It’s nice, but not THAT nice.
Do they start to look really beat up or busted from wrinkles or wear?
They definitely age well and look great still
Did you get one of the “kaidan” releases?
I did! Can’t wait to compare!
Not sure what it is, but the orange color for the interior just doesn't do it for me. Makes it look like a traffic sign or a hunting vest.
Gotcha. Yeah the orange isn’t for everyone. I’m a fan just for the contrast.
Haha, replied from my other account.

It’s bigger. Give me a few minutes and I’ll go and verify. I don’t have the same laptop but I’ll measure the depth.

@@JBOutside1 thank you so much for doing that for me. Much appreciated! Fingers crossed...
@@brendanong4999 let me know if it fits!

$700. Really.
