I'll be doing this myself in a couple weeks when my LG washer/dryer arrive. This is like the 3rd video I've watched on doing this, my favorite one here: (watch?v=9rFo_hBau00). Looks easy enough, just a bit time-consuming. Some dude commented on one of these videos that he had it done in "15 minutes", I was like yea sure! I guess I could pay the delivery guys from Lowe's to do it, but I'd rather do it so that nothing gets scratched. I've had bad experiences with delivery guys. When I got my LG fridge and stove installed, the delivery guys from the appliance store I'd purchased them from put a damn long crease down the side of my fridge trying to shove the stove back into the anti-tip brackets beside it. Really ticked me off, and he told me to contact the store if I wanted to but I let it slide. The crease didn't chip the paint or anything and isn't very noticeable unless sunlight is right on it. I bough an LG fridge for my sister, delivered to her home in another town, and she said the delivery guys scratched the hell out of it installing the door handles. Like me she let that slide, even though I'd already contacted the company and LG and they were ready to send her a replacement left door and freezer drawer and have an LG tech swap everything out. People just aren't as careful with your stuff as they would be with their own stuff. Your installer (from Best Buy?) seemed to be one of the better ones. Thanks for uploading this video, Robert.
You just saved me about an hour’s worth of scratching my head 😅. We just bought this exact dryer and have always had the “dryer on the left” issue. Never been too big of a deal but this door has the unique functionality of top or side swing open. I suppose it’s a little easier to load clothes in from the top and pull them out from the side swing? I would love to know how it’s been working for you, being that we just bought ours.
