How To Reverse Your GE Washer's Door - Step by Step

- Most washer's do not allow you to reverse the door swing.
However, GE has came out with a specific series of washer's that allow for the reversal of the door swing.

Just reversed my doors on the washer and dryer today. Would not have been able to figure it out without the help of this video. Thank you bro. Also my machines did not come with lock bar but was able to do it without the need of one.

May I know how you did it without the lock bar please ? My lock bar was missing when we bought this and when I reversed the door yesterday went ahead without lock bar and ofcourse now my door won’t latch ! Help !

Will this method work on the all in one unit?
I reversed my door yesterday following the video provided by GE, but now my washer doesn’t work. What did I do wrong? Is it likely the terminals?
Check this step when reconnecting the terminal for the door latch at 12:05 and make sure the connection is secure. If not, go back and make sure you didn't miss any steps around moving the door latch as well as the terminal and connection. Let me know how it goes.
Is it possible to remove terminal and pin connector without the lockbar. It seems the installers discarded before they left
Damn that is too bad they threw it away. I would recommend using the lockbar because if you don't the terminal can fall inside of the unit which would be a nightmare to forge out. I would buy the lockbar before attempting to reverse the door.
No need to use the lock bar. It's easy to get out. The locking mechanism will not fall down into the washer if it is plugged in to the wires.
Why am I now getting a “door” code?
Check this step when reconnecting the terminal for the door latch at 12:05 and make sure the connection is secure. Let me know if that solves it.
@@TheAppliancePlug I am getting a "door" code also. I replaced the door lock mechanism but it did not fix it, I still have the same code. You push the start button, and door will lock and unlock a few times, then throw the code.
