Smug is like the Lebron of the SF community. Now that he's getting a lot of recognition everyone's in that "He doesn't have a championship ring so he's not good yet!" mood. Even if you don't like Smug you gotta give him props for his potential. He's only just started, I hope he goes far!
It is always a pleasure watching Smug play and pull off some of the most insane tech possible in real matches. He's created a huge loyal following because of his unique playstyle and godlike execution; and he just continues to improve and gain more fans with time. And thanks to Yoga and MrDustkicka for the sick editing. It must have taken a lot of effort for such a compilation.
I don't know why but I don't see Smug as a technical kind of guy, I don't even know how he looks like or even saw anything posted by him, but I just can picture him going "Holy shit that was sweet" after finishing those mad combos. Props to him. Thanks for the awesome video, Yoga.

I've said this once. I love watching Smug because he is young and has great potential. But good lord his fan base is so immature. Whenever I see him play in tourneys on Twitch, people in chat cheer for Smug AND shit on his opponent which I can't stand. If Smug wins they still continue to shit on the other guy. However if Smug loses, all his fans just completely either not chat due to maybe shame or want to justify his loss. I'm also an Infiltration fan and I know many others are but we don't shit on his opponents like Smug's fans. We say gg if Infil's opponent wins or loses. That is why so many people call Smug's fans dickriders. And I can't blame them.

He doesn't go to tourneys enough to see how fans react when he plays vs. other players, but he definitely brings in the hype at NLBC. If anything, the only reason why people watch NLBC is to see if Sanford gets salty about losing vs. him or Rico. I don't know...it's hard to compare Smug's wins vs. other people beating him because usually his wins are all one big exciting beatdown. When he loses it's from bad trades and him getting poked to death from not being able to get in. Not really exciting but he still gets shitted on
There's plenty of top players that has similar fanbase, like Daigo for example. Just ignore it, like what you like and Dudley on top play is hard to adjust on since not everybody respect Smug's play or simple let themselfes get hit like that.
I actually played smug once on xbox live, i beat him one round with my thawk and then he bodied the shit out of me but replied back to my message saying good game and thanks for the compliment, cause i told him i was a fan, so that was nice of him.
Yoga i really appreciate your effort man. I once was a constant sf uploader for a year or so but it's too much and I'm taking a break right now. Uploading is too much work dude, the workload, i know it. And worst of all people shit on you saying that you steal videos and copypasta and shit. Spammers, haters and trolls you gonna deal with these people all day. I think you've been working since super is out huh? That's respect man.

It definitely is a lot of work, not really hard but extremely time consuming, finding replays then watching it twice over ( record ) and uploading matches of characrters that players main. Making montages without your editing tools playing up, also arranging set's ( 1st to 5 ) The truth is I am a nobody unlike the players who play at tournaments. Just a guy who enjoys uploading for the viewers like yourself.

He's just never done pressing buttons... Coming from a fellow pad player whose execution is pretty bad, it's impressing that he can do these crazy combos with ease. Dudley is good in Ultra so this is his time. He has the next couple years to show us that his mind game is on par with his combo-ing. He is already a deadly player when he gets people in the corner. Now I am also a Dudley player and I think it is safe to say that me along with every other Dudley player out there, would never have even thought about doing a cross up unblockable jumping fierce on Hugo. It would never cross a normal dudley players mind because it just sounds dumb....it even looks dumb! But i guess Smug has that innate ability/creativity that is needed to play this game and whether he is a genius or the most dedicated player in sf, he gets the job done.
You are assuming that he comes up with this stuff by himself.. Im pretty sure he frequents SRK Dudley forums and r/SF4 where there are tons of excellent players (behrudy, 34, DykenSP, to name a few) sharing information 24/7. Not taking anything away from him, he is a legit beast, but lets not over hype this shit.
