Its the DM that makes monsters scary, but to the forever DM no monster is scary.

I can relate to that 😅 sadly.
As a forever GM I feel the same.

Funny thing is my character, Zelda Alagondar, would not be scared of the bag of holding or the vampiric mist as these are things she is used to seeing or using. In fact, she is so comfortable with them that she let Alexander, the brother of Strahd and a very powerful vampire, put her in a modified bag of holding every time she needs to be protected. Obviously the bag of holding was modified by Alexander to allow enough air and whatnot to come inside so she could breathe etc. Additionally since Alexander is a powerful vampire, seeing a crimson mist around the party is not uncommon. She just assumes it is Alexander coming back from one of his "walks" (Helsing Ultimate reference) or him trying to mess with the party. Although the more I think about it, the fact that she doesn't bat an eye at these things should be scarier than the crimson mist or bag of holding itself.

The scariest monsters IMO are those who can punch far above their CR.

Using the boneless in my next battle! A hag has been stealing the bones of those who cross her to create her new house. What happens to everything else in the body? Becomes a boneless! They guard the forest around the home looking for their lost bones.

These are all bone-chilling and absolutely eerie in the best way possible. Thank you for always being such a font of inspiration for any campaign!

I'm totally using the boneless covered skeletons in my CoS game once they get somewhere appropriate. They just got to the winery so it may be just a bit. As always love your vids man. Keep up the great work.

Your information on Curse of Strahd has made my play through sooo much better than it was when I first ran it.
Have you considered fixing Princes of the Apocalypse like you did Curse of Strahd?

I think you should do horror content for Shadowdark RPG. It blew up and has taken the OSR community by storm. Please, consider it 👊

Solid narrations/descriptions as usual. -- I think you may have mentioned the boneless on skeletons suggestion in the past before? But I had totally forgotten that idea, and I need to write it down for the next time my players enter a catacombs... which may be in the next couple sessions actually. I've never heard of rot grubs; those sound as awful as Slaad eggs.
