This is fabulous! I didn't really want to invest in acrylic paints for my gel plate. It's great to see other types of "coloring agents" used. I do have one question though. In all the videos I've seen, gel plates are clear (or clear-ish) - even if they are well used. The gel plate in this video is an opaque brownish color. It almost looks as though it has a layer of titanium buff on it (before Marsha puts the ink on) or a sheet of Kraft paper. Does anyone know why? I was wondering if she missed telling us a step. Thanks for answering if you know. 😊
Hi Deborah! Thanks! I can assure you that you and I did not miss a step! There is no other medium on the plate before I tap on the ink. The gel printing plate I’m using in the video indeed isn’t new. It’s well loved and the surface of the plate has turned matt overtime. It has a slight discolouration of its own, however, I wonder if what you see could be the result of the prints I pulled before I started recording. The stains stamping ink makes on the plate sometimes can’t be wiped off with just a wet wipe. They aren’t permanent though! They will come off with baby oil. So, if this happens to your plate, you’ll now know what to use to keep it clean! ;-) Have fun printing with your stamping inks!
Martha, I have archival ink and distress ink. Can you explain which is solvent ink, which is pigment ink? Especially for those of us who don't have the brands you are using? Thank you!

What a great idea to shadow a stamp. Where can you buy post it tape roll? Here in the Netherlands i can only find the 25 mm. Seems a bit small to me.
Misscheetah I think they’re just regular post it notes taped together to be bigger
Oh no you’re right. I think you can use washi or regular post it’s taped together
I found post it rolls on ali and i have bought maskingsheets a5 format for the bigger things.
