Thank you so much for saying that because I always feel guilty for doing long form videos. But I suppose if people don’t want to watch the whole thing, they don’t have to 🤷♀️
Very pleased to find someone using a gelli plate again, it's like artists stopped using it a few years ago, and yet there are so many inventive ways to use it. I've been using mine for a few months, and I can't get enough of it ! Your pages are gorgeous, thank you for sharing your process Mx
Oh and I've 👍and subscribed. Tip - I lift the paint edges with my brayered off page *before * I start to smooth down my print. That way I don't get as much paint on my hands as I sweep across the print and plate.
I am absolutely loving my gelli plate! There’s something about it… it’s like little pieces of art every time you pull a page. Thank you so much for subscribing!! ❤️❤️ and the tip 💕 I do that sometimes as well, just depends on the day. 🤷♀️ Thank you again!!!
Pretty results. I kept hoping to see some dark contrasting colors to see how it would look with your lighter greens and blues. I love that you show the entire process.
Thank you Rhonda, it’s so hard to use dark colors and have things show up. I’ve tried black and white before and it was a big fail. I do need to get in there and see what the secret is to success with that!
I have found the key to Geli printing is PATIENCE with letting the paint dry, with one’s self and the whole process! ♥️♥️ Great video! Lots of really useful information about fabulous techniques ♥️💜
Fun, fun, fun Randi! I love Klimt. I am in the process of creating a waterfall journal using all my Klimt products and papers. It is a slow process but that is just me. I have been looking at the Klimt stencils but I am finding it hard to choose. Now that I have seen your stencils I think I can finally make a decision. Thanks for sharing your gelli plate techniques.🦋🦋🦋
I really enjoyed this video as I have never tried the gelli plate and never actually liked the effect until I saw your Batik Journals. Thank you for your detailed how to, this helps me a lot!!
Wow, super cool idea, purchased a gelli print and been scared to use it, but now you have inspired me to give it a go. Thank you for sharing. Awesome colours
I have been watching gelli printing for several months and just came across yours. I’ve tried a fair number of the “professional” paints like golden you mentioned and I’m always disappointed and can’t seem to do it properly. I’m going to try the paints you use which I never thought of trying and maybe I’ll finally have some success. Thank you.
@@DreamyBohemianthe way to get the most out of the effects of different layers is to use transparent and opaque paint. Layer the darker transparent one first and pick up with an opaque pale colour or do the opposite.. Then you can keep going with more and more layers. It is interesting to use your colour theory when it comes to what hues play well together. Have fun.
Hi there! Sooo happy to have found you😊. I'm just getting into gelli plate art. I did have one many moons ago. I'm an oldster and have been making junk journals for years and creating master board collages to use and gelli prints will give me so much more to use and I need to go back to school so to speak lol 😂. Thx for some great inspiration.
Love the process I really like paint 1st then stencil then new layer paint to squish into negative spots ..then pull..👏..the one before the kiss stencil was really cool
I love my big plate! You’re going to have a lot of fun!!!! I want to try alcohol inks - they look so interesting! I’m not sure how to use them on a gelli plate but I have seen people use them in other ways! Thanks for watching!!!
Oh gosh, these designs are really cool. I had no idea these stencils were available and I just went on joggles and ordered a bunch of stuff. What kind of paper are you using? All the other videos I have watched they use copy paper which seems much thinner than what you are using. Also do you clean off your stencils or just let the paint build up on them? Thank you so much for your answers in advance.
Thank you! Joggles is such a fun place to shop!!! I believe I was using paper from an old art tablet one of my kids had left over. It worked really well for gelli printing! Otherwise I use 24 lb copy paper and I bought some tissue paper as well that is fun.
I really enjoyed this and learned so much, I have watched so many od gel prints and still felt lost but this really helped or maybe it just finally clicked in this slow brain...lol...pup your holding in photo what breed, looks like my wet pups when they were little....
Thank you Ms Becky! I’m so glad I could help 💕 He’s a mutt lol. But quite sweet one - a mix between carin terrier and chihuahua. (Got the barking part of the chihuahua unfortunately 😂)
Love this! Makes me want to invest in a bigger gelli plate. And those stencils are gorgeous. Do you any of design them yourself? Thanks for sharing the process; this can be intimidating to newbies like me!
Thank you! I do love playing with those stencils but I didn’t design them. They are linked in the description and are from Elizabeth St Hildaire if I spelled that correctly. ❤️
@@DreamyBohemian Thanks! I should have watched a bit longer before commenting; I heard you say that later on in the video. :) I love the one that looks like books!
Thank you. I put them in journals (the batik journals here on yt) They are great for instant backgrounds for art journals or just to journal on with a white gel pen, collaging etc.
Thanks!! So fun, right?! I think you may be referencing the batik journals with these papers. Here’s the video of the ones I have completed in the past. I don’t have any available at the moment but am happy to do one for you. ua-cam.com/video/Kt5RzkYHAds/v-deo.htmlsi=TPj3ZVDwPAdnN6gc
I kept the stamps on a wet wipe during the process and stencils can be soaked in soapy water. The stamps can be wiped out with the wipe easily and sprayed with a water bottle if necessary.
Well, they are really fun for collaging projects. They are great for journal pages. They can be used for pockets and anything “junk journal“. They can be used on the inside of the journal cover and as end pages. They can be used as the journal cover, you can make cards out of them. The list goes on.
Like what you've done but the wait time on the fanning and smoothing the paper on the stencils is too long. You should speed that part of the video up.

thanks for using my stencils and masks!
Oh goodness yes, I absolutely love them!!!! You have inspired me in so many ways! I love watching you 💕
Thank you for not rushing. Taking your time makes it much easier for others to really get process.
They are all beautiful ❤ 😊

Froyle does a lot of gel prints
Yes, I watch her a lot!
So does Robyn McClendon, PM artist studios and Elizabeth Saint Hillaire

My first time here. Never tried geli printing. Can't wait to try. Love the stencil.
It’s definitely worth a try! I am so addicted to it! I don’t even care what the prints look like 😂 Experimenting is really the fun part.
Thank you! I especially love it when you tell us the colors because you are the best at choosing them!!💕
Thank you so much Donna 💕❤️

@@DreamyBohemian I sure did! You are so gifted! HUGS!
This was an amazing video! Very informative and not too long. I have mastered a lot of things but not gel printing. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I love gelli printing - it’s kind of addictive! Hope you try it soon!
Such fun pulls. They all turned out great! Enjoyed watching.
Thanks so much!!!!!
Eddie you are playing that plate to pull the most amazing prints.
I loved that. That last stencil reminded my of "coffee bean and steam". I love this. Thank you.
Thank you!!! I’d love to know what your coffee bean and stem is!
These are gorgeous.
And refreshing.
Thank you.

Totally enjoying your videos. Can't wait to get started.
Thank you! I hope you will enjoy 🥰
Thanks for the inspiration. I have a lot of these stencils but they are just sitting around. Time to pull them out.
You’re welcome! I hope you have fun!!!
This video was perfect timing! I was wanting to learn about the 2 color process with stencils. Enjoyed this immensely and learned a lot. Thanks 😊
Thank you Joellyn 💕 I’m so very happy you enjoyed ❤️❤️❤️
This is a new medium that I've been seeing a lot lately. I'm trying to absorb all i can. I want to try mixed medium prints when i have space again.
I hope you get to experiment soon, it’s so fun!!!
Your so very gifted my friend..love everything
🥳 I’m excited …. Got some new brayers… I’m ready to do this!!!
Woohoo!!!!! Let the fun begin! 💕💕💕

Thank you so very much! I get them at joggles.com They have so many great stencils!!!

Have you tried using your hair dryer? It’s not as hot as a craft dryer, so it’s a little more gentle. ( It’s also easier on your wrists’)
Thanks for the tip!

@DreamyBohemian I was wondering what you could do with them. Now I am making lots of papers but love to paint pour so trying to do it all together lol
@@cyngailey7872 people use them to art journal or do challenges because there is already a background there for you.
How are you cleaning your stencils? I have found that acrylic psints tend to harden on my palettes making it extremely diffi ult to wash them clean
Soak in a tub of water and mild soap.
Were did you purchace your stencils 😊😊
These came from joggles.com - all the information is in the description box if you click “more”. 😍
What does clean up look like? The stamps and the stencils have dried paint inside their grooves.
I kept the stamps on a wet wipe during the process and stencils can be soaked in soapy water. The stamps can be wiped out with the wipe easily and sprayed with a water bottle if necessary.
It doesn't look a lot like Klimt. But wow..big Bottles. I guess Paint is cheaper in the US. I could never use it up.😅
Sadly I think our paint is cheaper. Where are you located?
But how do you use the pulled prints?
Well, they are really fun for collaging projects. They are great for journal pages. They can be used for pockets and anything “junk journal“. They can be used on the inside of the journal cover and as end pages. They can be used as the journal cover, you can make cards out of them. The list goes on.

What is the brand name of these stencils...
They are from joggles.com the Klimt collection.

I love using stamps!!! They’re super fun!!!
