Thank you to everyone at Jones Bikes, I almost gave up the sport. Been riding a Jones since 2019. In my mind no other bikes exist. There is only 1, well 2. SWB and LWB. Love them both!!
I’d love to see specialized or trek or even salsa utter the phrase “if you’re going to put a milk crate on it” in one of their promotional videos.
Pretty sure this is my next bike, I'll be getting the non electric version. I'm going to set it up as my touring/hunting bicycle.
Everything is just more intelligent with Jones bikes 😅

I have been looking for a heavy-duty bike for bikepacking.
I have looked at many different brands, but after watching these videos, looking at the specs and features, as well as talking to Jeff, the Jones LWB HD/e bike is the (pedal) bike meets all of my requirements!
And if I can get a disability rating increase from the Veterans Administration, I should be able to afford one, but nevertheless I am still saving up to buy one!!

Can you inflate those tyres to 10 psi just breathing into the valve technically? Might be a cool idea for a small roadside tool in case of emergency.

Are the HD/e frames ED treated for rust prevention? I don't think I saw it on the frameset page.
Yes, the HD/e frameset is ED coated, just like all our other steel framesets.
Jeff, could you explain the difference between the LWB unicrown fork and the HD/e unicrown fork? I understand that the A/C and offset are the same, but how much stiffer is the HD/e fork? Would the extra stiffness be noticeable to someone who has been riding a LWB unicrown fork for years? The last thing I want is a harsher ride on rough terrain.
The regular Jones Unicrown LWB fork is already heavy-duty, so we use the same fork with the LWB HD/e. Since the LWB HD/e frameset has the same fork but with a longer wheelbase, it does have a slightly smoother ride than our regular steel LWB frameset.
@@Veloperator Thanks for the reply. But if the LWB and the LWB HD/e use the same unicrown fork, then why are the listed weights different? (1535 grams for the LWB fork, and 1769 grams for the LWB HD/e fork, per your website.)
That is because you are comparing the fork that is sold with the LWB frameset to the HD/e fork and not the fork that comes with the LWB complete bike. The forks we sell with our non HD/e framesets are different from the forks on our regular complete bikes. The LWB complete bikes and HD/e bikes and framesets use the same fork, but the framesets we sell separately use a slightly different fork that weighs less but costs more. We are expecting them to be back in stock in 2024.
Can the HD/e also use the truss fork, or just the unicrown?
An LWB truss fork will fit, but Jeff would have to answer as to whether it would be approved for e-bike use.

When are you going to upgrade your eBike to a Bosch CX unit or Shimano unit?
Would require a whole different frame, seeing as the motor replaces the BB. That is an e-bike only idea, and a proprietary one at that.
That being said, it is 4130 steel. You could cut it up and weld in whatever you want.

So why has he decided to build with low quality eBike components.
Shimano, Bosch, and a number of other systems are by far superior.
It’s okay for me because I have been riding dedicated single speed mountain bike since 1992.
@@cccpkingu I could very easily cut and modify the Jones frame to fit superior ear bike engine system with my TIG welding equipment I have at home, but I’m not interested in having electric assess, as I worked in one of the local bike shops and started selling eBikes back in 2015.
Hey, thanks for the kind words about my "acoustic" bikes. I would have to disagree that the Bosh is an "upgrade" or "far superior" than the Bafang, they are different types of e-bike systems. I have built and ridden Jones e-bikes with Bosch motors, and I have chosen to use the Bafang motor for many reasons. I will be explaining more about it in part 2 of this video that I will be posting to my "JonesMotorbikes" UA-cam channel.

I don’t know about the UK, but JustPedal in The Netherlands appears to be a dealer.
