    I tested the Pro 245 last week. Very good and soft feel. So far I have been playing the Titleist T200 (Series 1). I am happy with them, but the Pro 245 are softer and the sound is even better.

    Went from 21' T300 to 245 last month - it just feels and sounds so much better. I was pleasantly surprised to find the 245s aren't that much harder to hit over game-improvement irons either. Definitely will be in my bag for a long long time 😀

      Love this!! Great stuff. Don't think you're alone either. Fitters have said great things about the 245s

    Great comparison guys. I got fit into the 245 but the i530 looks great. The Mizuno DNA for feel and looks are there and they perform great for irons this small. I think the Pro V1x pairs well with it as it gives me a bit more spin to counter the lower spin design.

      Great feedback! As we said, both are great. But if the feel is of utmost importance to you, Mizuno Pro 245 is a wonderful choice. i530 checks all the boxes too. Good call on spin - need to make that work one way or another

    I game Mizuno Pro 225's and love them. On a recent trip golf trip to Arizona, a buddy had just been fitted for Ping i530's. I hit his 8 iron a bit at the range. I have to say, this model of Ping iron felt great! Dare I say Mizuno esque - something few irons can claim. I'm not moving away from my Mizuno's, but I could easily game the Ping i530's. Also, really like your content.

    Currently have 245 on order from Mizuno thru 2nd swing. Having kbs c taper shafts with them. Been hitting Titlest 716 blades. Excited for these new irons.

    Hit both in a fitting. Came down to spin was better with the i530. 7 iron swing speed around 82. Spin with the i530 mid 5’s. 245 mid to high 4’s. Also liked the different loft options without the need to customize and take longer to get in. Went 6-P in retro spec

    I just had a fitting, and the Mizuno Pro 245 was out of commission, apparently it had broke....But out of several other models: cobra, callaway, taylormade, pxg, titleist, I ended up going with the Ping i530. Still wish I could have tested the Mizuno

    Im a 12hcp playing mizuno old blades. Im looking for new irons: distance is not a problem, need forgiveness but also enough spin to stop the ball in tiny greens. Wich 3-5 models should I be looking to? Thanks! I love your vids!

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching!! From the sounds of it, you're more focused on making sure you have a set of irons that is forgiving and can stop on the greens. You have enough swing speed to provide the distance. Both of the irons in this video are great options. With the i530s, we can have them ordered in retro spec with weaker lofts to ensure that higher launch and spin. Another idea could be a combo set of some players irons and a players-distance iron so you can add a little more forgiveness at the top of your set, but maintain a small-ish clubhead at the bottom of the set. The i230 and i530 would be a great option for this, as would Mizuno Pro 243 and 245. Titleist T200 to Titleist T150 is another solid option for this. If you connect with one of our fitters (in store or online) we can help you build out the perfect set.

    Hello, nice video! Would you recommend any of these irons for me with a HC of 25? I currently play the Mizuno Hot Metal 919 and am trying to find new irons to help me improve my game.

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  5 місяців тому

      Yes these would definitely be an option. The Mizuno JPX 919 Hot Metals are also fantastic for your situation. Are you trying to improve anything in particular with your iron game?

      @@2ndswing Thank you for your response. I was hoping to be able to play more consistently, but if I interpret the answer correctly, the new clubs don't offer me any real advantages?

    How strong are the lofts? Far carry distances for a 7 iron

    The 245 look so much smaller when comparing them side by side in person. I think the i530 are my next iron since im coming from the Taylormade MCGB irons.

    why compare a 7i and a 6i

    • @2ndswing
      @2ndswing  7 місяців тому +3

      We did not compare a 6i and 7i - with our Trackman temporarily unavailable, we're using Full Swing and it's the best way to label irons. They were both 7-irons in this test. Sorry about the confusion
