Quick story. I've met him in my jiu-jitsu Gym in Toronto back in 2018. I came 3 hours early before class and there he was kicking the heavy bag. I couldn't believe my eyes. He stopped looked in my direction as I opened the door so I waved & he waved back. I went to the locker room to change to put on my GI as quickly as I could. I went back there towards him and asked if we could take a picture together. He was like "of course, even more than 1 if you want". we talked for about 10 minutes about everything & if he was going to fight Khabib. He's exactly like you see him on TV, Humble and one of the nicest person I've ever met.

It's nice to see a true champion like Gordon give these types of opportunities to others in the sport. This is so great for Jacob. Thanks to Gordon and to the hope others will follow in Gordon's footsteps and take matches like this, to help grow grappling as a whole.

I am learning that a lot of jiu jitsu relies on misdirection and trickery of your opponent, which all martial arts do. HOWEVER, BJJ achieves this more effeciently and predictably by exploiting opponents' natural relexes in a much more practical way. It's brilliant.
