      It's kind of true though. I get from butterfly-half to ashi all the time, but they defend or escape. Him saying that spoke to me. I cam get from half gaurd to leglock positions, bit can't finish. I guess I need to focus on those techniques.

      It’s honestly common in bjj to get locked up and have to try to think about what to do next

    • @BJJmaestro
      @BJJmaestro Рік тому +5

      @@ashtoncomer935 I would agree to a certain extent. In No-Gi, stalling is useless, there is not nearly as much grip fighting and many times athletes stall for points/cardio recovery. Grip fighting in the Gi cause most of the stalls. In No-Gi, stalls are more deliberate. You should always be thinking Sub or Die.

      I've got Gordon's sit up guard instructional and completed running through it with a partner.
      Would you get this half guard instructional next or the supine guard next?
      I want to complete them in the best order and the half guard one seems like it builds on the information from the first two.

    Professor Bernardo, obrigado por trazer esse conhecimentos. Percebo que os americanos enxergam o jiu jitsu como Sistemas e Sub Sistemas enquanto nós Brasileiros enxergamos como funções de maneira separada. Sendo que uma unica função compõe um sub sistema, que por sua vez compõe um sistema maior e o programa jiu jitsu é composto de varios grandes sistemas. Acredito que tenhamos que reaver nossa maneira de ensinar sob pena de ficar para traz rapidamente. Algo que já está acontecendo, Forte Abraço Oss!
