And let me tell you, I'm also dissatisfied by all Indian Airlines and the worst of all is Air India (you must've already guessed). Poor service, often late flights (it feels like India is one of the very few countries where planes are late), really bad waiting rooms and the worst fellow passengers of all, that's the experience I've had flying in India. I've been in Argentina, the UK and Australia but never have I ever suffered such a drastic low standard of travel. And I don't think I need to comment on bumpy and potholed Indian roads filled with reckless Indian driver.

We must really thank the loco pilots. That much noise can cause serious damage to the ear lobe. Their working conditions are not that great imagine you have to sit inside a hot iron box next to a giant diesel generator a full day in India s heat and with no air con and rest room.

@Dhhajhfhfjdjsjjssk they use horn here too before some of the crossings but it's only one "honk" on the airhorn, that's it. It's a sign for the train driver where to use the horn.

Just as you wouldn't have a clue on how to perform micro eye surgeries and bionic replacements, I don't have a clue how the signalling system in IR works. Your comment previously led me to a conclusion that two trains on a single line should keep honking irrespective of whether they see another train on the horizon. I also would love to know how the other train on the other side of the same line can hear the original train horn when one considers the speed of sound, Doppler effect and the relative partial pressure of water vapor in that surrounding atmosphere (these factors affects how sound is perceived)

Even after emergency braking it would require about 1km to stop the train at that speed. Honk/Horn is essential to alert people, animals from long distance.

@@niladrikhanra train simulator world is unfortunately made more like an arcade than a simulator. The physics engine is terrible in TSW in comparison to the normal TS.
I for once travelled on a wap4 ,and must say it was not a single bit comfortable And all my fascination with loco engines died a slow death post that 4 hour journey.The noise of the engine ,the constant loud horn and so much isolation made the 4 hour journey a nightmare.
