Purple Hull Peas Easy Freezer Preserving

In this video I'm sharing the super easy method I use for freezing fresh peas for use all year long. This is a great way to preserve your harvest even if you don't have a canner or a means to put them up in jars.

I’ll have my 1st harvest of purple hull peas any day now. How do you eat these…alone or in recipes? I’m new to southern gardening. 😊

I like to put them in soup, but I also like to boil them and season them. They are really yummy if you first sauté bacon and onion in a pot, then add the peas, water, salt, black pepper and some garlic powder to taste and cook til tender.

@@blessedhighlycaffeinated I just started vacuuming sealing mine this year. Everyone says they won’t be any good unless blanched. You really haven’t had any issues? I have done my zippers and black eyes the same way.
